Steve Rothman spins Danish cyclist attack as propaganda coup

An aide to New Jersey congressman Steve Rothman, who is in a redistricted-primary fight for his political life, tweeted the following yesterday:

Imagine another ME country doing this? RT@nytimesworld: Israeli Officer Who Struck Protester Is Dismissed

Something tells me this Congressional aide won’t be tweeting this story by Yossi Gurvitz yesterday:

Undercover IDF soldier kills Palestinian in drill, goes unpunished

Two weeks ago, undercover IDF soldiers carrying out a drill in a Palestinian village in the West Bank killed a resident after several mistook them for burglars and attacked them. Israeli press buried the real story: The fact that the IDF used Palestinians as drill props – and killed one.

…a team of armed Duvdevan [counterterrorist] soldiers (who wander around dressed as Palestinians, not in uniform and without obvious weaponry) decided to hold an infiltration practice drill in a Palestinian village. …[T]he villagers – who suffered recently from a wave of burglaries – took them for burglars, and attacked them with cold weapons, wounding one. The gunmen returned fire, wounding two of the people who were trying to defend their home and property. One of them later died of his wounds. The other was kicked in the face while handcuffed.

There comes a time in the life cycle of every oppressive regime that the spokespeople get nutmegged by events and are left floundering with a thin cloth of ideology that fails to cover up the sudden nudity. And they look stupid and everyone gets it.

And Israel edges ever closer to the point of total hasbara failure.

Here’s Israel Harel. Just another cheap ziobot ideologue. How come he still has a column?

Frankly, these Israel firsters and the fifth-column traitors who vote for them (and New Jersey seems especially lousy with these people), really should stop calling themselves Americans.

I thought Eisner was suspended from front-line duties and confined to a desk for two years? Certainly not dismissed.
And the fellow who kicked the handcuffed prisoner was dismissed, though not the murderer – no consequences for him.
Israel is certifiably insane.

I just had a word with my Israeli colleague about something work related but I was thinking how sad it will be for him and the rest of his compatriots when it all falls apart because of the settlers and an incompetent political “elite”. That nobody ever stood up to. There is something very Jewish with deep undertones of Yiddishkeit about the unfolding mess.

Bumblebye: Eisner was a high-ranking officer and should know the limits of the use of power, and should teach it to his underlings. Since he made this attack, it may be assumed he did it with the knowledge and approval of his own superiors. Look at the video: he carried his gun not as a weapon for shooting but as a metallic object (with very sharp projecting edges) for smashing people with. It was preplanned or at least prepared, practiced, not the first time, SOP (standard operating procedure). I bet no soldier on the scene was surprised before or after the incident.

Israel certifiably insane? Don’t know. Sociopathic (in terms at least of non-Israeli-Jewish society), sure. Completely unconcerned with law or ethics w.r.t. non-Israeli-Jews, sure. Acting to produce enemies as fast as possible and then bemoaning the fact that they are surrounded by enemies — you betcha. Insane? What’s that mean?
