Video by Saiaf Abdallah.
On April 3, 2012, Arizona State University's (ASU) Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) staged a debka flashmob on their campus. With knockout rhythm, the students danced for their classmates who look to be either surprised, or delighted, stomping their feet and waving their keffiyehs to Maher Halabi's "Ya Tair Ya Tayer." But, the pièce de résistance comes at the end when SJP steps in time while holding big placards that read: "ISRAEL STOP Erasing Palestinian Identity."

excellent!
These students who saw this saw more of Palestine identity than many Israelis or BIRTHRIGHT visitors to Israel see (or care to see).
The place the Palestinian identity really needs to be seen is inside the consciousness (and conscience) of Israelis and it’s–all–mine Zionists.
Yes, “knockout rhythm”, indeed. What a pity we do not understand what the song is about.
It’s a song celebrating Palestinian cities and stating that these places are their homes.
thanks, Inanna, I didn’t know about the many Palestinian villages destroyed even inside Israel till very late in my life.
Beautiful..thanks
That kind of flashmob protest I would do. I might debka a little funny though: I learned it from Israeli dancing, something I did back before I really knew anything about the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
Mashallah mashallah! Goodness I just love Falastine! Please please oh please can I be an honorary Palestinian? Can a true blooded Palestinian bestow this honor on me?
I want to be Palestinian and do the dabke under an old olive tree in Palestine – woohoohoo rock-out!
As for Israel dancing the phrase at the end would read “Israel Keeps Assimilating Palestinian Identity”. This article from the Saudi Gazette link to saudigazette.com.sa refers to this phenomenon as “Zionist appropriation”, or in other words the Zionists are admiring and adopting Palestinian culture.

Quite delightful!
Sorry for misspelling : Duty Free Flash Mob Dabke.
listening/watching.. an inspirational way to start my day.
Really liked the way the dancers kept growing in “pieces” then unified to make one big line near the end- beautiful dancing and message!
Dance music song sign… terrorism at it’s best … from the sweet well of youth
Meanwhile the “Peace Loving” neighbours …..
