The Jewish Council for Public Affairs is holding a conference in Detroit. The JCPA is a Darfur organization– a centrist liberal organization that supports Israel right or wrong while decrying human rights abuses everywhere else. The big concern is delegitimization of Israel in the U.S. Some highlights:

Yuk, Detroit, home to more Arab-Americans in concentration than anywhere else in USA (at least so I think: Michigan is second only to California in Arab-American population).
Why else did they put their meeting there?
In their forum on “Responding to Anti-Israel Activity & Anti-Semitism on Campuses” they intend to discuss the JCPA’s relevant mission statement on this, found here. The mission statement is all about when to use Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. One of the potential uses of Title VI would be to “call[s] on campus leaders including university presidents, chancellors, provosts, deans, and department leaders….to actively discourage university support, co-sponsorship or endorsement of virulently anti-Israel programs.” Seems like an arm of The Lawfare Project.
This sort of reminds me of the disgraced Anthony Weiner.
The man went on a brilliant tirade on the need of the public option in relations to health care and then the next second claimed he was part of the “ZOA wing of the Democratic party”. ZOA is the oldest Zionist organization in America and routinely compares Palestinians to Nazis.
And he got away with calling himself a progressive because obviously there’s a lot of Anthony Weiners in the Jewish Establishment who hold otherwise progressive views but then tolerate people and opinions of those like the ZOA among their midst.
Or people like Amb. Oren who ambushes 60 Minutes segments before they even air on the TV, implying they are anti-Semites.
I like my new found slogan so I’m gonna repeat it.

Would like to see that jingo on some signs in Oren’s audience. Here he is calling on the old ‘ nation within a nation’ concept which legitmitizes a canard which delegitimizes the Jews while he cries anti semitism.
