Maybe you remember Brandon Davis? He’s the Princeton student who wrote a great piece on the politicization of Judaism for his college paper a couple years back:
It is time for American Jews to stand up against oppression, violence and religious fundamentalism. The tribalism that has persuaded the Jewish people to categorically stand up for Israel for so many years is foolish and outdated.
Well he’s at it again. This is a video he made, he plays the sassy gay best friend of thuggish masculine Israel.
Brandon Davis and Jesse Liebenfeld are the reasons why I am still an optimist on a better day.

Many years ago Bill Maher said the policy of the US military against openly gay soldiers was stupid and if there had been a gay soldier with clipboard and a velvet rope in front of the US Embassy in Lebanon the truck with the explosives would never had even gotten past that velvet rope and observant queen let alone anywhere near the building – he was onto something … gay people (most) have gaydar – which clues them in before everyone else as to what is going on, what is cool, what will be in fashion, and how to arrange things in a pretty way … the serious message in this new spoof video is that war is the realm of thugs and brutes and what is being contemplated by these thugs and brutes is truly insane
