The group Americans for Jerusalem has launched a project to get Americans who live in Israel to vote. “Israel needs you to vote.” American just “wants” you to. Notice the leverage that the group is trying to bring to bear:

Beyond the direct electoral significance, mobilizing and energizing American voters in Israel will play a key role in influencing the votes of friends, family, and supporters of Israel back in the US; voters whose vote would otherwise be driven by domestic concerns rather than concern for Israel.
Wait, isn’t that a frank appeal to dual loyalty?

Wait…that sounds like a single loyalty to me….and it isn’t to the US that’s for sure!
The irony is that if all those Israeli Americans did voted during the first Bush elections, Al Gor would probably have won :)
Go figure…
My personal stance on this is very simple, if you don’t live in a country
don’t vote in it’s elections.It goes for all the Israelis that moved to the US
and vice versa.

In order to vote for a particular senator from a particular state, you have to be registered and live in that particular state.
In order to vote for a particular slate of electors in that particular state or District of Columbia (see the 23rd amendment to the US Constitution) who then vote for the President, you have to be registered and live in that particular state or the District of Columbia.
The only exemption to where you are living is if you are in the Military and you get to state where you chose to have your residence in United States.
AND ALL REGISTERATION CARDS THAT I HAVE HAD SINCE I CAN REMEMBER NEED TO HAVE AN AMERICAN ADDRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are maybe a handful of American personnel attached to various United Nations “peacekeeping?” ventures in Israel/Palestine, HOW MANY VOTES DO THEY THINK THEY CAN GATHER?
