Although mostly known as an East Jerusalem settlement financier, Irving Moskowitz is also bankrolling the GOP. In data published last week by ProPublica, the casino mogul’s donations were listed at $1 million this year, making the checks out to a Karl Rove-led Republican superPAC, American Crossroads.

This 527 group advocates against Obama, calling him a “vampire” who “came in and sucked the life out of us,” in one of the organizations web videos:

In another video, American Crossroads paints Obama as an authoritarian socialist dictator, comparing him to Vladimir Putin:

MY COMMENT: Dear G_d, please save us from the scourge of bingo magnate Irving Moskowitz!

    FROM Right Web [Moskowitz, Irving]:

[EXCERPT] Irving Moskowitz is a Florida-based bingo and gambling magnate who is notorious for funding illegal Jewish settlements in Palestinian territories. An associate of the rightwing Israeli think tank the Ariel Center for Policy Research,[1] Moskowitz has funded several U.S. neoconservative pressure groups and the campaigns of conservative “pro-Israel” politicians.
A retired doctor and millionaire who originally built his wealth by buying and selling hospitals, Moskowitz owns the Hawaiian Gardens casino in Hawaiian Gardens, California, a small, mostly Latino city near Los Angeles. The casino was unsuccessfully sued by concerned citizens in the United States for alleged abuses committed against its workers. – see the website of the Coalition for Justice in Hawaiian Gardens & Jerusalem, link to stopmoskowitz.org Moskowitz’s donations to U.S. political figures have also been subject to scrutiny. In January 2011, the liberal Israel lobby J Street criticized Florida Republican Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a fierce anti-Castro congresswoman who has also championed Likud-aligned policies on Mideast peace, for receiving campaign contributions from Moskowitz, who was the congresswoman’s top individual donor.[2] J Street called on Ros-Lehtinen to return the donations, saying that Moskowitz “actively works to derail the chances for a two-state solution by funding Jewish settler housing in the middle of Arab neighborhoods in east Jerusalem.”[3]
In Israel, Moskowitz has been heavily criticized for using his wealth to try to dictate government policy and making controversial land purchases in Palestinian enclaves in Jerusalem and the West Bank and Gaza. In January 2011, a Moskowitz-owned hotel in East Jerusalem was partially razed to enable construction of Jewish settlements that are illegal under international law. ” . . .

This whole ‘Obama is antichrist’ schtick always (literally) makes me laugh.

The guy’s primary problem is how weak he is. He has lots of ideas I happen to disagree with, but that’s almost academic, because he won’t manage to implement any of them.

Obama certainly demonstrates that weakness can be equivalent to evil — but ‘dictator’? He’s a pushover. He’s the kid who always has to give his lunch money to the schoolyard bully. That’s the whole problem.
