Are these stories going to get any pickup in the U.S.? I hope. From Amira Hass in Haaretz:
From within IDF prison
Israeli soldier goes on hunger strike in solidarity with Palestinian prisoner
Yaniv Mazor, incarcerated for refusing to serve in the ‘occupation army,’ says could not continue overlooking the strife of Palestinian administrative detainees.
Iranian news network picks up the story of the Israeli who wants to be Palestinian:
A former Israeli soldier has announced he wants to renounce his Israeli citizenship and move to a Palestinian refugee camp in the occupied West Bank. Andre Pshenichnikov, a 23-year-old Jewish immigrant from Tajikistan, has said that he plans to live in the Deheishe Refugee Camp near Bethlehem, where he used to work as a waiter and a construction worker.
P.S. Memo to the New York Times. Profile Amira Hass. Put her on the front page or the cover of the magazine. Get her to speak openly about herself and her ideas and her experience of Palestinians. Twould be electrifying.
Thank you Phil, you are way out front on this one, i love the way you call out the msm.
Would that you could drive a wedge through the msm.
Wow…
That would be electrifying…
phil, haaretz carried that story of Andre Pshenichnikov the other day.

Alas, not a trend IMHO.
Refusal is not on the rise these days.
We should support these brave folks, and exert pressure from the **outside**.
