“That all, just a kick? This cannot be compared to what happened in 1933!! The Germans (may they be cursed) did this for no wrong on our part, just out of hatred and jealousy of Jews!!! If we were a smart enough country, we would already kick all those scumbags/terrorists far far away from here!!!!”
Ali Abunimah has been on the story, picking up similar comments:
Eden Oreus (Gedera Regional High School): “Channel 2, you are the garbage of the state, all respect to the Border Police officer and it’s a shame he didn’t put a bullet in the head of the son of a bitch videographerwho documented it.”
This posting from a high schooler was one of hundreds by Israeli Facebook users reacting with pride and joy, and incitement to violence and murder, on seeing a video of Israeli occupation soldiers in Hebron kicking a young Palestinian boy as he screams in pain.
The video, shot by a Palestinian videographer and released by B’Tselem, was widely reported in the Israeli media, and shows Israeli occupation soldiers in Hebron, occupied West Bank, violently assaulting a child whom B’Tselem identified as Abd al-Rahman Burqan, aged 9.

Indoctrinate Jewish Israelis from age 4. Send them to the occupying army for 3 years of human rights abuses. How many are going to end up as Hebrew Atticus Finches?
Could have to do something with this?

Really? But in your comment last week you claimed that Israel was becoming “less liberal” because it was assimilating with the region. How does your own racism square off with this fact?

There never was a Palestinian land registration, No Pal can prove ownership of any land.
“There never was a Palestinian land registration, No Pal can prove ownership of any land.”
I also made a mental footnote of and kept for reference one aspect of the IDF’s rampage against the Palestinian Authority back in 2002 or thereabouts.
The IDF took especial care to seize and destroy as many property records as they could. I thought that was sinister at the time.
Trying to put proof of that blatant zio propagandist lie up would not be approved on that site.
Thanks a lot for the link. Very interesting and creepy article.
Israel is becoming less liberal, but it always brutalized the inhabitants to some extent. The difference was the inhabitants under occupation did not respond in a major way to the occupation until after 1987. They decided after that to take the abuse less, and, in turn, the IDF and many supports of Israel’s way of trying to crush those opposed to being occupied have sought to become more brutal, naturally. Israel is not alone in engaging in brutality. None-the-less, an occupation is illegal, and since the occupation also entails trying to bend American political power in favor of Israel it’s not good for the image of Jews around the world anymore than fanatical Muslims like Binladin did any favors for Muslims world-wide. People need to take a clear stand against backward use of religion to suppress others or extreme ethnic nationalism. Israel is going backwards in the sense that it has to use more force, and it’s also turning on its own citizens, and radical settlers are attacking Arab-Israeli places of worship and graves, as well. It wasn’t like that before.
Good stuff.
I showed the original video to a Christian evangelical. They were upset.
I told them of the Israeli reaction. They were more upset.
Great, we need as much people as possible to be upset about the barbaric regime of Israel’s authorities in the occupied territories!
What type of grown man gets pleasure from kicking a child? But they keep beating the drum “the most moral army in the world” “we drop leaflets in Arabic” yeah like 1 second before you massacre the innocents.

Somewhat ironically, at least in general the situation can be compared to 1933 — and for at least five years following.
The two situations are hard to compare directly, because the Nazis did openly what the Zionists often do only covertly, but Israel has certainly ghettoized the Palestinians, has certainly stripped them of both their property and the protection of the law, and certainly openly discusses how to get rid of them entirely. The Israelis have had their Kristallnachts (to say the least) and if they don’t openly publish their Nuremberg Laws, they certainly practice them (see that ‘rape’ case a year or so back where the gist was that an Arab had been passing himself off as a Jew and seducing Jewish women).
I suppose it is still a tad short of 1939, when the Nazis started simply killing Jews in the course of their invasion of Poland (although certain incidents in ‘Cast Lead’ might qualify, come to think of it.) The Zionists are certainly still short of 1941, when the Einsatzgruppen cut loose in the Western Soviet Union.
But that’s about all that can be said for them. The commentator might have more accurately said “This cannot be compared to Babi Yar!!” Then he’d have a point.

“B’Tselem identified as Abd al-Rahman Burqan, aged 9.” … Now we need to identify those military bastards !
I don’t know who are worse: the vermin in idf uniform or the israeli civilian pigs who cheer them on.
Let’s call Dershowitz and ask him, if he thinks that the soldier and his cheerleaders act like the “nazi equivalent” of an occupier and his backers.
Sometimes I suspect myself of demonizing Israel.
Then I read stuff like this — and I realize I’m not demonizing her at all. She really is that bad.

VIDEO: Border Guard officer kicks Palestinian boy, by Elior Levy, Ynet News, 7/02/12

I’d say that border cop did more to win the fight for a free Palestine than any of us ever will.
Now up to 363,159 views.
And tomorrow Foxman et al. are going to cry about the increase of antisemitism.
Today, the German “Spiegel” has an article about the video.
link to spiegel.de
There are 5 comments so far, four of them in defence of the officer. I’m paraphrasing:
- The video doesn’t show what the boy did before he was kicked. Typical Pallywood propaganda.
- The beating that the boy would get at home if he defied parental rules would be much worse.
- The boy had no right to be at the border post.
- I don’t want to condemn the border guard, because he probably acted through fear. Islamists often recruit children for jihad and send them to paradise with suicide belts.
Strange. I just discovered that the reader comments have been removed from the Spiegel article.
By the way, why does the comment moderation on MW take longer than usual?
Well, it is July 4.
The identification with the Nazis on the part of certain commentators seems rather clear here. So when the next Middle Eastern war comes, as it will, what will stop the Israeli political class from “deciding,” after decades of carefully painting themselves into some kind of existential corner, that six million dead Arabs might redeem six million dead Jews? That’s been the subtext of Jabotinsky Zionism right from the gate–the Christians do terrible things, so we will too. The Israelis are faithfully replicating all the excesses of racism, militarism and empire that caused the first Holocaust.
But that might be only a down payment on the next one, directed this time against the Arabic-speaking people, whose main crime, most of them, is simply knowing the truth. For that they must be kicked, and ultimately slaughtered.
In my experience, most Germans are not too fond of Israel, and it’s not because of anti-Semitism. Germans, in many cases, feel that Israel keeps getting billions over the holocaust, and they’re reminded, somewhat understandably, of the holocaust, but Israel goes on ethnic cleansing Palestinians from parts of the West Bank and uses nationalist justification for their actions. Thus, they learned the wrong lesson from WWII. And if you say what I wrote, you’ll be called an anti-Semite. However, Norman Finkelstein did say in a lecture that when you come out of a tragedy, an injustice, you shouldn’t assume someone is going to better. Many people become worse human beings in terms of behavior. The boy may have thrown stones, but they are cops. They’re supposed to be professional, not abuse the boy. I understand they’re human beings, and you can get angry. The problem is not so much the soldiers. It’s Israel. The soldiers are part of an occupation, and when you have to enforce an occupation, you will act that way, if not worse. It doesn’t matter if the Palestinians are mostly Muslim and the Israelis are mostly Jews. It’s about one group of people controlling another group of people and trying to downplay the injustice of that and ignore it.
Where does the kid throwing stones come from? If the cops had shot him, would the claim have been that he was wearing a bomb belt?
…thinking about that, I’ll answer my own question. Yeah, that would have been the claim. I suppose if all else failed, it would be asserted that the ‘Israelis’ were actually Palestinian actors dressed up in Israeli uniforms.
…further edit. They’re way ahead of me. That already IS the claim. One of the posts at YNET: ‘if this movie is real i’m santa claus.’
I am sorry but that kid must be faking this for sympathy. Where is Boianjiu when you need her? Drinking a coffee?
Note: When I referred to “certain commentators” in my last post, I refer, of course, to the commentators at the Israeli Channel 2 Facebook venue, not to any commentators on this website.
What impresses me is that although this was a relatively minor incident (compared to the daily brutality and constant crimes against humanity), because it was reported on here and there in Western MSM, all of a sudden average Americans are going, “inexcusable! brutal! we’re supporting this!” etc.
Imagine if Western MSM showed one – just one – clip from the daily reality in the OPT, once a day on its 6 o’ clock news and website front pages, how Americans would react. That’s what’s so frustrating…
I know I’ll get flack for this, but here goes: I was expecting to see the kid being kicked repeatedly and/or senseless. He got one boot to the arse and was sent on his way. I’m underwhelmed.
That being said, comments such as “If we were a smart enough country, we would already kick all those scumbags/terrorists far far away from here” and ” … all respect to the Border Police officer and it’s a shame he didn’t put a bullet in the head of the son of a bitch videographerwho documented it” are disgusting. And precisely the sorts of things one would expect Zio-supremacists to say.
It’s the sheer egregious, unprovoked viciousness of it. The cop isn’t angry — this is just how you treat Palestinians.
It’s a Kodak moment. It’s the essence of Israel. It’s like the swaying palm tree in Hawaii, or the endless evergreens in Washington State. It says it all.
That’s exactly right, Colin. It is the casual viciousness of the israeli that demonstrates the moral depravity of that state and its people.
“…Imagine if Western MSM showed one – just one – clip from the daily reality in the OPT, once a day on its 6 o’ clock news and website front pages, how Americans would react. That’s what’s so frustrating…”
Yeah. I dunno if the show is still like it was when I was a puppy, or even if it’s still there at all, but one good ‘Sixty Minutes’ episode and it would all be over for our only ally in the Middle East.
