The world’s cameras have turned away, but Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip continues unabated. The latest Israeli violation of the ceasefire agreement occurred last week when Israeli soldiers fired on Palestinians near the Gaza/Israel border, injuring five.
The agreement that ended the November Israeli assault on Gaza stipulated that Israel “should stop all hostilities in the Gaza Strip.” But the military has violated that agreement time and time again.
Ma’an News covered the latest Israeli attack:
Israeli forces shot and injured five Palestinians on Friday in the northern Gaza Strip, a health ministry spokesman said.
Ashraf al-Qidra said five Palestinians were hospitalized with moderate wounds after being shot near the border with Israel.
The news agency also notes that “Israeli troops have shot at Gazans near the border at least 10 times since the end of an eight-day offensive last month. Some 30 people have been wounded in the incidents, Gaza officials said.”
The shooting and injuring of 5 Palestinians was only the latest provocation, but Western media has largely allowed the violations to go unnoticed.

Palestinian armed factions have barely responded, save for a rocket fired in the direction of Israel that landed in an open area in Gaza.
Yet you won’t find these facts blared out in The New York Times.
