Cornell SJP to students: Why should you care about Israel/Palestine? Because Cornell already does.

Cornell Students for Justice in Palestine felt compelled to create the publication below after facing numerous unsuccessful attempts by Cornell University’s administration to intimidate us from using our freedoms of speech and assembly at a rally in solidarity with Gaza this past November.

After having the Cornell police physically push through our rally and attempt to arrest our members while a Zionist counter-rally nearby continued without any attempts to stop it, and after reading about these events later in the Cornell Daily Sun, the student-run de facto mouthpiece of the university, we decided to create our own publication telling the real story. Written by members of Cornell SJP, this pamphlet also addresses the ongoing occupation of Palestine and continued ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians.

very effective, the analogy between u.s.-supported israeli denial of palestinian rights & cornell university-backed cipac’s sabotaging sjp’s right of free speech

makes one wonder, why is it that invariably, when the going gets tough, israel’s supporters try to silence their opponents?

confidence that their cause is just?

contrariwise, the realization that theirs is a lost cause
