Vice-chair of CBS will speak at Israeli-government sponsored high-tech conference in NY

What is the opposite of BDS? I just got this promotional email for the Israel Dealmakers Summit in New York in two weeks, which will feature Shari Redstone, a vice-chairwoman at CBS. The conference is a private networking event that costs upward of $1000 to attend and is all about cutting-edge industries:

two-day, invitation-only conference for senior executives from the United States, Europe and Israel to discuss the technology, trends and innovations shaping key industry sectors  including Digital Media, Cleantech, Healthcare, Mobile, Internet, Medical Devices, Big Data, Semiconductors, IT Software, and Telecom.

The conference is organized by this business consulting firm and is co-”partnered” by the state of Israel and leading Israeli businesses, and some American firms, too, such as GE. (Redstone is formerly married to Yitzhak Korff, a rabbi with connections to Israel; they are said to have three children.)

Also a writer for the Economist is speaking at the conference, and executives of Google and Time Warner Investments.

The promotional email, in part:

  1. Cliff says:

Hardly surprising. Shari Redstone is the daughter of Sumner Redstone.

The other people mentioned on that list are likely Zionist tribalists as well. This is our Establishment so there is no surprise.

  2. Linda J says:

A windsurfer & an actress? Glitz quotient kind of low, isn’t it?

  3. Bumblebye says:

I noted a BP on the list, so I wonder if the full list will include another US/Israel company, which has just been awarded a contract to drill for oil in the occupied Golan:
    link to commondreams.org

“The contract was awarded to US-Israeli energy company Genie, whose shareholders include Rupert Murdoch and Jacob Rothschild, with former US Vice President Dick Cheney listed as an adviser. The firm is headed by Effie Eitam, a Golan settler and former hardline right wing cabinet minister.”

Just that collection of names has me reaching for the garlic to keep evil at bay!
How much illegality are they getting theimselves into with that?

      Ah! Good ol’ Craig Murray:
      link to craigmurray.org.uk

“For Israel to seek to exploit mineral reserves in the occupied Golan Heights is plainly illegal in international law. Japan was succesfully sued by Singapore before the International Court of Justice for exploitation of Singapore’s oil resources during the second world war. The argument has been made in international law that an occupying power is entitled to opeate oil wells which were previously functioning and operated by the sovereign power, in whose position the occupying power now stands. But there is absolutely no disagreement in the authorities and case law that the drilling of new wells – let alone fracking – by an occupying power is illegal.”
