Here’s an update on IDF fundraising largesse in the U.S. Every time I see these press releases I find the sums shocking (the IDF raised $26 MILLION at a New York event last year).  News like this should let Sam Horowitz off the hook for a bit regarding the obscene priorities of American Jewish community, but it’s doubtful it will raise an eyebrow. From a Friends of the IDF Central Region press release:

Chicago, IL, September 4, 2013 – Over 160 Friends of the IDF (FIDF) supporters attended the FIDF Central Region Summer Benefit on Sunday, August 25, 2013 and helped raise $8.8 million for various educational and wellbeing programs for IDF soldiers, including the FIDF IMPACT! Scholarship Program, a wellbeing center at the Ramon Air Force base, and a gym for a Special Forces unit. The event featured keynote speaker Brigadier General Yakov Shaharabani, Israeli Air Force Attaché and Deputy Defense Attaché to the United States and Canada.

So how much do they raise for American soldiers?

And how many people in the US could this money have been clothed or fed or cared for, rather than buying weapons for terrorists?

C’mon….there must be lots of PTSD from killing children… And kicking families out of their homes moments before demolition. Must be tough be part of the worlds most “Moral” Army.

Don’t forget the trauma they must suffer passively watching illegal settlers burn and hack Palestinian olive groves, and then ‘protecting’ the vandals from the farmers.
