Joan Rivers slams CNN and BBC coverage of Gaza — ‘you’re all insane’

I think it’s cool that TMZ headlined this an “Epic Israel/Palestine rant.” The media are catching a clue. Joan Rivers was interviewed as she entered an airport; and she agrees with me that the mainstream media are showing more sympathy this time to the Palestinian view of things. Some nuggets.

Rivers: If New Jersey were firing rockets into New York, we would wipe them out.

Reporter: What about the civilian casualty rates?

Don’t you dare put weapon stashes in private homes…

Reporter: Where are the civilians supposed to go?

You’re all insane. They [Palestinians] started it. What are you all saying? They started it. The Israelis did not throw their– for months this has been going on. What are you supposed to do? How do I know? I have been over there. That’s how I know. And I wish the world would know. BBC should be ashamed of themselves. And CNN should be ashamed of themselves. And everybody, stop it already.

Reporter asks about Dwight Howard and Selena Gomez using social media in favor of Palestine. A reflection of the fact that the young and non-white and much of TMZ’s audience do not see Israel’s aggression as justified.

Oh, that college grad! Oh if Selena said that. Let’s see if she can spell Palestinian.

PS. Re BBC, see this from Ian Pannell:

In #gaza a baby is delivered from a woman killed by Israeli bombing. Watch Ian Pannell’s BBC report.

Is Joan Rivers’s criticism appropriate in light of these atrocities?

Thanks to media maven Adam Horowitz.

Ugh.

Perhaps she just spent the night with Bill Maher and Dennis Miller and Eliot Engel– she looks/sounds it.

A laugh and a lie a minute.

(who’s her handmaiden and sidekick? har-har-har)

I made a comment a while ago that, short of gang rape, there was nothing that Israel’s army could do that wouldn’t be supported by their die hard lovers. Scratch that, I’m not sure about the gang rape anymore.

Unfortunately for the Zionists, demographics are against them. Not only on their own turf, but in America too. Fanatics like Rivers are in their 70s. A recent study showed that support for Zionism in the USA is much lower among the youth than it is with older people. Young people have seen nothing but massacres and sieges from Zionism, and with the easy availability of alternative media, they don’t have to rely on CNN or BBC with their ‘both sides’ narratives. The anti-semite slur elicits little more than a shrug, and the holocaust is ancient history.

Rivers and her ilk are dinosaurs, a bit like the relic of 19th century ‘blut und boden’ ethno-nationalism known as Israel.

She’s a grade-A idiot. Very typical of her generation, unfortunately.

These reflexive Israel supporters are beyond help.

What are we to do?
