The British public and the world see that Israel’s actions are ‘wrong and unjustified’ — Miliband

Another Brit speaking clearly about the immorality of the Israeli slaughter. Labour Leader Ed Miliband, quoted at the Telegraph:

Its actions in Gaza are unacceptable and unjustifiable… [Hamas actions] cannot excuse the scale of loss of life, of innocent Palestinian civilians, including children, that we are seeing. And [our] government needs to send a message to both sides, that its actions are wrong… [The PM should say] He believes that Israel’s actions in Gaza are wrong and unjustified…I believe that’s what the British public are thinking as they see these tragic events unfolding on their television screens. …

Miliband also said that Israel was creating a “new generation” of Palestinians “bent on revenge” and that the “appalling scale” of its assault “is losing Israel friends in the international community day by day.” Even more emphatic:

“The Prime Minister is wrong not to have opposed Israel’s incursion into Gaza. And his silence on the killing of hundreds of innocent Palestinian civilians will be inexplicable to people across British and internationally.”

Compare this to Samantha Power, our UN ambassador, who takes care to “condemn” the attack on the UN school without blaming Israel; and then “strongly” condemns Hamas for killing Israeli soldiers Friday morning.

Oh and notice in that Telegraph story that the British Justice Secretary said that Miliband had put himself in a weaker position to participate in the peace process by being so critical of Israel. This is like the Israeli legal scholar who argued at NYU that the Goldstone Report undermined the U.N.’s dedication to the two-state solution.

Luckily, Aipac and its affiliates do not control politicians in the UK in the way they control politicians (and US officials) in the US.

And Milibrand that is hardcore supporter of israel, what does he do to stop Israel? Nothing.

The British Justice Secretary, Chris Grayling, is not only the first non-lawyer to hold that position (or its predecessor position, Lord Chancellor) since the Middle Ages (I promise you that is not an exaggeration), but is also a man of such stupidity and incompetence that his main impact so far has been to make the British prison system increasingly resemble the US system, with all that implies.

UK parliament debating the Gaza situation (early in the conflict):

If US congressmen were to see this they would recoil in shame. Then again, maybe not.

This is for public consumption . Now Britan has a valued friend of Palestine . He will be using that credentials in future to do the Zionist bidding. Any criticism of future unabashed support to Israel would be then painted with this comment. He is a political toast if he would not.
