Bay Area gets radio ads about Gaza

The Bay Area chapters of Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP-BA) and Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-SFBA) have teamed up on a great radio ad campaign that began airing locally yesterday morning on KCBS. The ad will run on KCBS for the next 2 weeks Monday through Thursday, 16 times a week during commute time (5am to 8 am, 3 pm to 8 pm).

The ad directs the listener to a website, GAZAFACTS, also a collaborative project of JVP-BA and CAIR-SFBA.

GAZAFACTS features Our Vision, a Take Action page as well as section called Talking Points written by Noura Erakat. Plus, there’s a fantastic short video “Life in Gaza explained” on the front page featuring Dena Takruri, presenter and producer of AJPlus, Al Jazeera’s online channel.

GAZAFACTS is an excellent informative site, and hopefully there will be many new Bay Area viewers tuning in after hearing the new ad.

Super news, super ad. Many thanks to JVP- BA and CAIR- SFBA.

(and to Annie and MW)

Hope it will soon be a hit from sea to shining sea!

Who is that a picture of?

Thanks Annie, what great news!
So pleased that the GAZAfacts website features Farah Baker ; she is amazing and has such a huge following worldwide…

This is going to upset poor miss Geller.

Another reason to celebrate this project.

City by the bay rocks.

What a simple but great ad. It does not overwhelm the listener with too many facts, and will make people pause and think about it, especially since it was sponsored by the Jewish Voice for Peace.
Hope this can be aired in other places too.
