Why is a retired neurosurgeon ‘awed’ on his first trip to Israel?

Because Ben Carson is considering a run for president as a rightwing Republican.

This reads like satire. Reports the Times of Israel:

In his first visit to Israel, prospective Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said he is in awe of the Jewish state, inspired by its ancient holy sites, impressed by the resilience of people living in a perpetual conflict zone — and deeply disappointed in President Barack Obama

“I do not believe that Obama has been one to cultivate the relationship,” said Dr. Carson, a retired neurosurgeon who has emerged as a favorite of some conservatives in the early field of possible GOP candidates.

“I would make it very clear that Israel and the United States have a long, cordial relationship, and I don’t think we should ever leave the Israelis in a position of wondering whether we support them,” Carson said in an hourlong interview with The Associated Press in Jerusalem. “And that certainly is a question now.”

Carson lost his creds a long time ago, as far as I am concerned~ for many reasons. This is only the latest reason. Check out his wiki entry…

I guess he won’t be going to visit Dr. Mads Gilbert anytime soon. Or Dr. Belal Dabour… I guess he didn’t visit Gaza, either.

That’s what a real doctor would do.

He should have attempted to treat the rampant “trauma” that pervades Israeli society.That,s part of what neurosurgeons do, is it not.

”impressed by the resilience of people living in a perpetual conflict zone”

Ugh. How utterly vomit inducing.

Let the good doctor ask his Israelis handlers to allow him to go to Gaza – not that they would ever consent – if he wishes to see resilience and a conflict zone. Israelis don’t know the meaning of either term. They honestly and sincerely believe that taking selfies while waiting in the bomb shelter amidst the trauma of having to miss the second half of Costa Rica vs Holland constitutes ‘resilience’.

No one should have their human rights violating by anyone. You don’t have to be a brain surgeon to understand that!

Sorry, had to get that in.

In his first visit to Israel, prospective Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said he is in awe of the Jewish state, inspired by its ancient holy sites, impressed by the resilience of people living in a perpetual conflict zone …

He added that he is also:
– appreciative of Jewish terrorism and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from their homes and lands;
– amazed by the “Jewish State’s” 60+ years, ON-GOING and offensive (i.e., not defensive) campaign of aggression, oppression, theft, colonization, destruction, torture and murder;
– tickled pink by its refusal to honour its obligations under international law;
– wowed by its refusal to accept responsibility and accountability for its past and ON-GOING (war) crimes; and
– razzle-dazzled by its refusal to enter into sincere negotiations for a just and mutually beneficial peace.

“I never imagined that oppression, colonialism and supremacism could be so damned nifty!”
