Thank You for Supporting Journalism that Powers Justice

Dear Mondoweiss Community,

I am delighted to share that because of hundreds of generous donations, we not only met but blew past the goal of $90,000 for our year-end campaign, Journalism That Powers Justice. So our challenge donors will contribute an additional $50,000 to support Mondoweiss’s work!

That means that including the Challenge Fund, the campaign total as of today is $150,478. This is almost 50 percent more than any past campaign! We are awed by this tangible vote of confidence from Mondoweiss supporters.

The community’s investment in journalism will help extend Mondoweiss’s reach—and bring our content into the daily landscape for more thinking people, opinion leaders, and policy-makers. We know that we are reaching new people all the time. In fact, within the past 13 months our email subscriber list almost doubled and we received contributions from 742 people who had never donated to the site before.

But the fight for justice requires that Mondoweiss continue to grow and increase our impact—and we’re committed to doing that. The funds raised in this campaign will allow us to provide more regular updates on key struggles, expand our reach to new audiences and develop new channels to present essential information. We are committed to documenting the injustices, the double-talk and how the U.S. underwrites it all, but we know there will also be important stories to share about developments in the movement for justice in Israel/Palestine.

I am happy to speak for the team of Mondoweiss editors, contributors and volunteers in thanking all of you for your willingness to support journalism that powers justice. We are constantly inspired by the community’s unceasing commitment to justice for Palestinians.
