Hey Taxi,
I wanted to help re-elect Obama and I just couldn't do everything...so Mondo had to fall away for awhile...but I knew you guys would keep up the effort. I did a 6 month tour of Hostels on the west coast with my video camera to capture opinions of folks from other countries. That was the easy part. Editing down...is a nightmare. I'm not sure I have anything worthwhile to share...but it was a great experience.
Since fall, I've been modifying guitars. I replace the plastic nuts, saddles, pins with winter kill bones of Bison, Elk, Moose, etc. Really gives the instruments a lot better tone...and in my small way...helps raise awareness for our wildlife..I hope. I also have been inlaying in the heads of the pins...various Wyoming gemstones...and also Swarovski crystals. Lately, I've been reading MIT Tech. Review...trying to get an idea for a Mind Adjusting Laser that we can point at people who don't know how to reason...that is why I checked back in to Mondo...to see if we still had a few of our regular lab rats around;-)
Right on, Henry and Mondo!
It's about time someone besides a cigar smoking hermit in Wyoming started talking about this.
Does it really make a difference?
If every reporter isn't compromised, certainly every editor is.
Because they are right about one thing: Rednecks and Zionists will always take the bait...as long as they don't have to use their brains to do it.
So, you are saying that there is an Israel Spring happening?
You bring up important point.
We should build a statue.
Nice article.
When you decide you want to start your own country...it's always nice if you can also control your own people.
Since when did innovations and efficiencies mitigate the barbarism of an oppressive, apartheid nation?
Do you really want to keep going there?
The sight and sound of clogged servers and phones ringing off the hooks at CBS........
"Israel is more spooked for its existential mumbo-jumbo by the Christian Palestinians since they slipped through the net they have woven for Arabs and Muslims."
Perfect timing for Arab's/Muslim's to convert and become Christians of Convenience....
Do you think we have forgotten what Israel did to the Lebanese Christians?
Eisner is a Hero!
He saved all those bikers from going onto a highway and being slaughtered by a stream of homicidal cars and trucks.
Don't give up your day job...selling sand in the Sahara.
"Some day, Jewish and American historians will marvel at this. The Zionist Captivity."
Yes, but they will probably be joined in their marveling, by archeologists...in 10,000 years or 100,000 years.
Today is Earth Day...a day to celebrate our natural environment.
A day to review human successes and failures in caring for our planet.
A time to consider our sustainable attitudes and practices.
Yes, attitudes.
I visited the old San Miguel Mission on the way to San Luis Obispo, built in the 1700's by the Catholic faith. There is a slightly larger than life bronze statue of Christ. At his feet, in the base, are three words: "Love One Another".
That sounds like a sustainable attitude, to me.
The opposite: Hate One Another, does not.
Let's Talk...sounds sustainable.
Let's Not Talk...doesn't.
On the surface, it might seem odd to quote Christ (yes, I know...did he even exist). ...apparently the founder of Christianity, but also a Jew. But, wisdom crosses all lines.
But, does everyone consider to, Love One Another, wisdom?
I'm not an expert on why Christ got sideways with those in control...
but, then as now, it seems like there are some trying to kill the message.
"Make that chairman-of-faculty write it out!"
I'll hold him down....
Beautiful way with words and pictures, Annie.
There are two factions of Presby's that I know of: The Evangelicals and the Liberals.
Brilliant film!
Couldn't have been paired with a better music.
Fred,
Citing a Hamas official from the MOJ doesn't help your cause at all.
Even if he was a medical expert, he would be wrong to make that comment (you don't disagree that a Palestinian can be wrong do you? (just not human, right?).
Starving is a process.
One can be starved to death quickly or slowly.
One can spend a lifetime starving...as is the case with malnutrition.
The starving process, causes damage both psychological and physiological.
Some damage is permanent.
If you care to read - in depth - the study on Palestinian obesity that you zionist love to throw around at every opportunity, you will find that the study reports exactly what I just told you...and more.
Over the 60 plus years of siege, the people show signs of permanent damage.
Read it...and see if you still love it.
Since virtually all Palestinians suffer some form of malnutrition...virtually all Palestinians are starving.
On a related subject...you might like to research the effects of war on fertility and birthrate. You guys like to toss that birthrate thing around in an attempt to demonstrate how great things are in Gaza...but after you educate yourself..you won't be able to do that honestly.
You are honest...right, Fred?
Thank you.
I didn't do a thorough search, but there is this Fox story...whose collage style of reporting can't be depended on to provide honesty.

Hezbollah is only considered a terrorist group in 4 countries.
Hamas is only considered a terror group in the EU and 4 other countries.
All, but Japan...white countries.
School administrators just want problems to go away...so the easiest way...is to tell people to stop doing whatever is provoking a response. Without too much trouble...we could probably design a machine to perform this function...freeing up administrators to study the possible elimination of all knickers on campus. No knickers...no twists.
Sweden = 4th highest Democracy (Full) in the world.

It is encouraging that they made the distinction between security/apartheid methods.
I can't tell if humanity is advancing or retreating.
Since when does "one size fit all"?
Except, that God is one their side.
You might try to book a flight...as a way to verify....
"Your attitude is as culpable for perpetuating this mess as the die-hard Zionists’"
Not hardly, hombre.
Objecting to abuse - mild or harsh - isn't at all like advocating it...or participating in it.
"...they cry while doing so."
How could she have believed her own reasoning...and how could anyone who listened to her, have bought it? The human race seems to be divided along these lines.
Yep...and they do wander off easily...probably to plant.....
Except that we own just about all the Arab/Muslim leaders/dictators/monarchs in the world...the people of these countries could get toether and have an effective counter-propaganda campaign and showcase brilliant military moves like that.
You might have missed the article where the IDF went to arrest a 2 year old boy they thought had a slingshot.
I think he should get credit for his memorization skills...unless he is just hitting the "play" button on his programing...
Great work.
In yesterdays MW posts, there was again a discussion about media ownership.
Have you "followed the money" in your South Africa research?
Can't argue with that. It is our nature.
Thanks.
I'm betting there is a good chance Fred would not agree, we are animals....
Fred is just following the formula for "knowing".
Fred...want me to explain how it works...and why it doesn't work?
“Man will become better only when he is made to see what he has become.”
Great quote...and I agree.
Unfortunately, once man has seen what he has become:
"We are not a rational species, we are a rationalizing species".
- Google not helping my memory on origin of quote -
As inconvenient as the truth is, it needs to be stated...in all it's glorious - and - horrendous colors...and admitted, and taught.
Either that...or a real belief in the David and Goliath thing...God coming to equal impossible odds.
Like so many of Gods plans...they are oddly similar to the most incompetent of mans plans.
Thanks for the link to an very interesting site.
You know, what finally got me to see poems as a brilliant art form...were poets with brilliant delivery...or readers who delivered the words in a brilliant manner.
Now, if you really want to rock your world...listen to some of the sexy poems of the 1600's put to music and sung by sultry jazz/soul artists.
Trust me...you will see poetry in a whole new, vibrant light.
There are many hundreds of other schools in Melbourne have visited?
There aren't even "many hundreds" of schools, total. There are just about 300 of all types of schools including colleges, universities and specialty schools.
So, you are saying that over 100% of all schools in Melbourne have visited the museum.
Sounds like Reality Denial, to me. Maybe Exaggeration Embracing. Maybe something else...
Brilliant logic.
Unfortunately, Foxman, Dersh and others tend/cultivate and guard vast gardens...rows and rows of plants...unable to reason.
Which religious scholar/monk/priest said: "Give me the boy and the man is mine"?
Sounds like Foxman cares more about indoctrinating "impressionable high school students" than teaching them how to think.
Your post just gave me thoughts of another option on the "who shot Kennedy" thing.
Seems like it could have been any collection of husbands, boyfriends, fathers, etc.
Yeah, we do like to sit in judgement, and it makes us feel better about ourselves...or do we just get to ignore ourselves/our failings/weaknesses...our nature...for awhile...and that makes us feel good?
I think even the most enlightened of us are pretty darn good at not really seeing ourselves. In spite of some pretty amazing technical achievements, we are stunningly primitive in our behaviors/relationships.
You got it...the guy is a Prince.
He is very open about his marijuana use on his site and his shows...and hasn't suffered a bit for it. In fact, in my opinion...it makes him worth even more.
I am constantly amazed at how we swallow the composition of discussion panels without a blink.
"Here for the Israeli perspective is so and so Israeli/Jewish person....and here for the Arab perspective...is someone not Arab."
Nice/fresh, slant/perspective on control.
Personally, I've never done the leg work and broken ownership down by religion/ethnicity.
Just visited Hearst Castle again and recalled the tremendous influence he had on U.S. society...not all bad...(women's rights, etc.)
"Once you understand what is really happening in Israel and Palestine, there’s no going back. "
That is what happened to me.
I'm surprised you see any similarity between Rick and The Grizzly Man...except for a slight physical resemblance.
His blog gets quite a few wingers on it, both for his liberal political views...and that he makes no secret of his support for grass smoking.
Rick also has an amazing blog on his site.
About a year ago, Rick took it on himself to travel to Iran and do a series on Iran...in an effort to inform us...that Iranian's are people, too.
I think he should be nominated for the Peace Prize for his lifetimes work at bringing people together.
It is so hard for me to hear these comparisons. I don't reject them them...because they are not exact duplications....but the similarities make me ashamed for my people...the ones who try to justify and rationalize away.
"Neither is that outdated Hasrba spandex jump suit you’re in."
I'm really appreciating the one liners, this morning.
Rensanceman, like it.
If you don't drive drunk, why do you keeping buying drinks for AIPAC?
Great post, Annie....tho hard to say "great" after reading his fathers words...and reflecting on present conditions.
TR,
My point was not to dilute your comment or context...but maybe it seemed that way. The world over...the training, body armour, vehicles, tactics are very similar. The differences are in the population in which they are employed.
Sorry, if you are a cop/soldier...but cops/s are just awaiting orders...and no matter what the civilization...they take their orders from the top. I'm a vet from a family of vet's and a family with several cops. Everyone is a nice guy while sitting on a couch drinking a beer. But, when the orders are issued....
Police/military training/tactics have become globally uniform. Selected leaders go to international seminars/trainings...and bring that stuff back...to your town. This is why they all look and act the same.
"I mean, what the heck has a single Palestinian ever done to him?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Answer: Always been the bad guys...in the stories he learned at his Mothers knee, in all the books and movies, in all the news programs...and as more "proof" just about always the losers in any encounter. "Why do they keep shoving their Arabness down my throat?" (to borrow from another rights movement).
Shmuel,
I found this...but I can't open it. Hopefully, they have been flooded with complaints.

Most people also don't know that communists/communist party are perfectly legal in the USA...and so were demonized then as they are now...in spite of being the party from which a lot of our present social programs were based. Programs that were needed then as they are today.
"...Jewish McCarthys."
Good description. First time I've heard it. Term might work as an effective tool.
Hey, if you have gone out on a limb and gotten yourself a program/money...you have to justify it to your funders....brown, unstable people...aren't even collateral damage...they don't count at all.
Media has their bread and butter topics that always bring in a steady stream of revenue, a' la Chomsky.

Amazing.
Unable to perform even a simple act of human kindness.
Reminds me of the people who defend the use of the new racist signs about Obama...or the people who still persecute Jane Fonda...isn't she well into her 70's??? How is it that they actually feel good inside when they say and do such things?
Scott: Of course sufficient numbers will have to recognize the problem first.
There is no hair to split.
"Proximate cause".

Great job, Annie.
Not often we get a response like that.
I would like to see the reasoning of these organizations for their support.
That being there is better than not being there?
"...unintentional damage to civilians as part of a legitimate fight against terrorism."
Nice attempt at a blanket immunization. I assume this covers mistakes and the odd IDF soldier who runs amok....since they would be part of the legit. fight.
The Rabbi was talking about the Palestinian people.
Your example talks about an individual.
You should know the difference and the flaw in your argument.
Sometimes an organizations positions are dictated by trying to keep their funding...so they can keep their jobs.
I joined J-Street because I thought they were sincere....I have been less sure of that for awhile.
Cute, catchy slogans work for the opposition, why not our side?
Pabelmont:
Thanks.
But, you know the standard come-back: "It's not aid, it's investment in America, because we spend the money they give us...on American goods".
The Palestinian's could use the same logic...if they were dishonest or illogical: "It's not aid, it's an investment. We use the money to buy high starch items from the USA...like Kraft Macaroni and Cheese....which also explains why our rolly polly selves look so well fed.
Brilliant!
I always wonder if Obama leaves his bubble in the office and takes a little vacation with The Daily Show in the evenings.
1. U.S. tax deductible donations to Israel...are a form of direct aid to Israel.
2. The 3 billion in direct military aid from the USA directly and effectively supports Israel...isn't it really a form of a yearly welfare check?
3. There are several billion$ more in indirect aid to Israel from the USA.
4. How many other western nations also donate to Israel?
Seems to me, Israel isn't really self-supporting either...so saying Palestine can't be a state, is also saying Israel can't be a state...for the same exact reasons.
Maybe that soldier is being isolated...because he wants to tell the truth.
How do you think NPR does in reporting?
A clear learning opportunity for the guy...which he won't accept...that he reacts more than he thinks.
Thanks, Allison, for posting Rachel's letter.
Every time I read it, it seems she is still alive and serving mankind.
That is something the opposition will never be able to stop.
Her words are immortal...as are the brutal actions of those who thought they could silence her.
Phil, still thinking about your post.
This last bit about Saul Alinsky:
In 1971, Saul Alinsky wrote an entertaining classic on grassroots organizing titled Rules for Radicals. Those who prefer cooperative tactics describe the book as out-of-date. Nevertheless, it provides some of the best advice on confrontational tactics. Alinsky begins this way:
The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away.
"In South Africa the armed struggle was ongoing and an organic part of the overall struggle. Nelson Mandela never disavowed the military wing (which was commanded by Joe Slovo, a South African Jewish communist), rather he embraced it as part of a mix of tactics that ended up working."
Thanks.
That paragraph needed to be repeated.
As the poet said: All history is bulsh1t. Meaning, I suppose...we forget what really happened.
"But it was not violence that won full and equal rights. It was a peaceful and determined insistence upon the ideals at the center of America's founding."
I was there...in the 60's...and there was plenty of violence. If you read the history of Gandhi's time, there was plenty of violence.
Ireland had both political and military wings.
I think we have a tendency to idealize/romanticize history....each group for their own motivations. The government side...to discourage real resistance/sow divisions...and the peace side...to keep their own extreme people somewhat reined.
As someone who was in a lot those "herds of domesticated cattle" style of anti-Iraq protests, I don't think we accomplished much.
I believe they are electronic leashes.
One of the assault team probably has the handheld remote.
The State of Israel fails all three categories.
1. Israel imposes double standards on Arab/Israeli citizens, West Bank and Gaza Arabs, Israeli Christians, women, even different members of their own military.
2. Israel demonizes vast portions of the societies that live within the - non- borders - of Israel...and the borders of other groups they have effective control over. They demonize members of their own military who speak out. They demonize and censure and try to drive Arabs from government. The list is endless.
3. Israel constantly delegitimizes anyone that disagrees with them. Citizen, non-citizen or citizens in other countries. They train and send representatives around the world to delegit. student organizations, speakers, fundraisers, art exhibitions, writers, etc.
You simply don't know what you are talking about.
Memorizing and repeating slogans and talking points you learn in Hasbara training sessions is no substitute for thinking/actually using your brain.
Both you and Israel fail your own test...the one your side designed...so you couldn't fail.
I'd like to know where you first heard this kind of argument used:
"Why is that a single Palestinian wounded in a demonstration receives so much more attention than the slaughter, rape and abuse of 9000 in Syria."
I hear it frequently and suspect it might come from a specific region...or even a specific homeschooling program.
Honestly, when I see hysterical and intentionally twisted statements like this being made...I don't imagine they came from a rational human being...I think more of a chicken running around with his head cut off.
"...you cannot aim these things..."
I can't believe people say that with a straight face.
If they couldn't be aimed they wouldn't be used.
You can't even say: can't be effectively aimed.
What you are probably trying to say, is they aren't as accurate as a rifle.
Fred:
The ranking is based on actual/present conditions.
Of course the ranking would be different if conditions were different. If they were different for everyone...then everyone would be #1.
Of course civil liberties and functioning of government are valid criteria.
btw, The Economist is a conservative/business magazine/organization, not a liberal organ. For that very reason, the report would seem to be more credible.
The report is to help businesses determine the quality of conditions for successful business operation...including safety of employees.
Just for perspective purposes, 50 USA citizens die each year...worldwide... as a result of terrorist activities. Last year, 19 in Israel died. Yes, it is a higher %, but when you look at how many died from tobacco, alcohol, driving, slip and fall and even choking...the global war on terror is a joke.
So, the world of the octopus is not effectively/completely under his control...if once in awhile, he needs 9 arms?
Just arguing with your logic.
You skipped right over the key words: entity/regime, refer to the government/illegal government, not the people.
The Democracy Index differs with you.
Norway = #1
Uruguay = #17
USA = #19
Botswana = #33
Israel = #36

"...the administration plans on sidestepping a new Congressional requirement that for the first time directly links military assistance to the protection of basic freedoms.
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is expected to waive the requirement on national security grounds"
I thought national security was enhanced by protecting peoples basic freedoms....
Not in the Times?

Memorization of Zionist slogans and talking points is not thinking, Fred.
ahhh....a fellow map reader.
Incredible how we have a country surrounded...yet they have no one surrounded.
How dare they toss out our puppets?
We have Iran surrounded. Last count I made was 24 major bases, plus 2 naval fleets. Last I heard was 45+ bases.
I still agree with you that it is insanity...but the planning sems to support it.
This is an old (2007) report, but it is so comprehensive...with LOTS of maps and charts..., I think it still has value.

Exactly.
How then can they be expected to respect they system?
It is a system designed to fail.
Okay, but given the detention mechanics...I'm sure you can imagine all kinds of reasons for riots...justified reasons. Let us not forget, in such a controlled environment...the captors also get to define what is a riot.
The system is not defensible.
Thanks for walking us through the bureaucratic maze that attempts to justify the unjustifiable...even the "uniforms" completely protect/isolate the state drones from contact/harm. I'm picturing caged animals in test labs...while white garbed and masked servants of the corporation go about injecting and extracting...secure and comfortable in the state approved justification maze.
"...there is something in the DNA, or seed, of a particular mindset any cultural group subscribes to which invariably destines it for a particular behavior..."
Why are human's exempt?
Virtually every domesticated form of life on this planet is constructed this way.
"...his support of the views of Paul Eisen."
Which views?
Are you saying Atzmon supports Holocaust Denial as defined by Eisen?
or
Are you saying he supports Eisen's right to discuss any subject?
"He doesn’t say that Judaism or Jewishness can’t get rid of their racist contents, that they can’t evolve to something more positive."
Doesn't God have to weigh in on any revisions?
"..im agains tribunals and blacklists etc"
Right on!
I'm afraid too many think they are good things when they work for their side. Problem is, in the big picture, it works for and against all sides...and bottles up freedom of thought and expression.
I don't understand why you think Mearsheimer's decision to avoid future discussion of Atzmon is admirable...but his writing of positive aspects of the book is not. Sounds like you favor mob power over discourse. Using that kind of force to silence you enemies, can also be used to silence you and your friends.
That is a threat to the common good.
But for me to donate to the Gaza Oral History Project, I can't use Visa, etc...I have to find Nicaragua or West Indies based payment systems.
All because I'd like elderly Palestinians to record their stories for posterity.
