I'm not particularly interested in making comments here, but posters here seem to be in the main well-informed and involved and to form a kind of community. From time to time there may be something I would like to ask such people. Right now what I'd like to ask about is if people are aware that sourcewatch's external links on hasbara (http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=Hasbara)and http://www.jerusalemites.org have been loaded with something that blocks their sites? I'm wondering if other people have found anything similar.

That press conference also featured Obama pushing for greater efforts against the insufficiently chemical Assad. Since Assad is so frustratingly not playing along, Obama had to pivot. The money quote was that even without chemicals, all the bombing, shelling and rocketing done by Assad certainly demands an international response. Assad's not even using willie pete, and it demands world attention!
And while others dally, Scott McConnel at the American Conservative has written a State of the Union column backing Stephen Hawking's boycotting the President's Conference: link to tinyurl.com
As pure hatred, this comment does not belong to any serious discussion.
Saw Ahmed Tibi on France24 the other night. His answer to 'Jewish and democratic' was 'Democratic for Jews and Jewish for Arabs'. He also rejected 1SS? or 2SS? by saying that what we have is a 'one-state SITUATION'. Those two short sentences sum up the entire argument: a Jewish state where half the population isn't Jewish is morally indefensible. They're nice, short, pithy. I know that I'm going to start using them.
Also, I saw this rebroadcast on AJE: link to aljazeera.com
It's the ultimate Zionist nightmare of a room full of Palestinians talking!
Gee! For such a sharing individual, I'm surprised that gilad hasn't complied!
Funny. Josephus has nothing on a Roman exile of Jews. Maybe YOU should read Josephus.
Is he really a colonist? I've seen him on other websites, and he's always a loon.
And maybe one day you will know what the word 'theft' means, will one day share that basic human understanding.
I remember someone writing once that Stalin, Hitler, Lenin and such 'painted history in the broad strokes of mass murder'. The idea is to remember that these were motivated ideologues seeking an outcome who'd internalized the idea that ruthlessness pays. Hitler walked into a defeated Germany and saw opportunity. Lenin saw a complete political vacuum and, through the strength of terror and will, started constructing the idealized order. The isolated, monomaniacal political cult of the war-time Zionist leadership saw the massive psychological trauma of the Holocaust and likewise saw opportunity. That scared people might jump to embrace it, take its fake reality for the actual one, cleave to it like one of Eric Hoffer's true believers--well that was all part of the idea!
These are not normal people! Any more than Stalin.
It really is just the playing out of the last of the 19th century's totalitarian thought experiments.
Can't you just see the promotional bumper stickers? 'Israel: Not as Bad as Nazi Germany!'
I lived in Miami around the time of Ileana Ros-Lehtinen’s entry into politics. The community that elected her—first to the state house, then to Congress—was bat-s**t crazy Hialeah: Omega 7 and Alpha 66 anti-Castro terrorists training in the Everglades and smuggling truckloads of coke into the States with Uncle Sam’s blessing [late 70’s and early 80’s]. I remember a Miami anti-Castro Cuban telling me once that any pictures of buildings purportedly built in Cuba after 1959 were actually Hollywood-style façades. (What is it about reality and zealots?) It's now more than a generation later, and those young Cuban-Americans went for Obama, not Tea Party like their parents. While gerrymandering will probably keep Ileana her seat, her constituency is heading out the demographic door and they know it, making them shriek all the louder.
Any of this sound familiar?
Umm. I think Israel's illegal declaration of independence--in complete violation of the Partition resolution--was seen by the US and the UN as a declaration of war. That's why both tried so hard to get BG and the colonists to hold off. The Arab League's actions--half-hearted as they were--were an attempt at reestablishing international law. Short answer: Israel declared war on its neighbours after conducting a war against the natives since November.
Gotta love Zio-logic! Being in favor of peace means deliberately looking the other way at a crime and opposing crime is terrorism.
These would be on my 'share' list for friends: link to youtube.com

People should look at the comments section of this Huffington Post article: near universal rejection of Nutter's agenda and the few Ziobot slobs who dare to post nonsense get mobbed.
Ooooooh! Good one! :-)
No. The Rabid Ones (Patent Pending) have realized that people are protesting the signs. They think their bigotry is normal and believe that they can, by catching the Evil Ones (Patenting licensed to nearest Zio-gauleiter) in the act of defacing the truth, they can 'prove' the truth of their claim. We should send a Holocaust victim to deface the next one--No joke!--TOMORROW!
The other day I quite by accident hit upon Sinead O’Connor’s Saturday Night Live October 1993 ‘War’ performance where she—Gasp!—tore up a picture of the Pope while calling him a force of evil. This made her a Bad Person (TM), and right-thinking people like Madonna felt free to say that if the bitch wants to bring her nutter protests somewhere, she should learn that there are limits. It was only two years later that information finally started to get out about the sexual abuse of children in the Irish Catholic Church. It was TEN years later that ‘Magdalene Sisters’ film came out detailing what Sinaed, a Magdalene herself, had gone through. I think we all know that, if her 1993 performance were to take place now, it would be received with widespread understanding and the critics would have been wise to STFU.
This stuff turns on an historical dime folks, and Sinead had no fear of alienating anyone. Rather, she called it like it was.
It is, of course, no surprise that she's on the right side of this one: link to youtube.com
Congratulations! I think it's high time that people truly realize that this is not a fight to win over the hearts and minds of Zionist-minded folks. The point is to shut them down and shut them up, to make them afraid to spew their nonsense for fear of castigation, derision and ostracism. It is to shout to the world that the emperor has no clothes, that Zionism is racism. That is the real drip-drip-drip effect of Mondoweiss on the 98%: a growing source of real information on the emperor's sartorial condition. When ya got 'em by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow.
Thank you for demonstrating the basic bigotry inherent is the Apartheid Zionist ideology.
Boo-f****ing-hoo.
The 'poor Israel' argument is particularly weak when it comes to Syria. Just some back-of-the-envelope calculations:
Cast Lead
1400/22 days=64 per day; 1300/22=59 per day
Syria (to 8/8/12)
/487 days (8.8.12)
Wikipedia high 28,795 = 59.2 per day
Wikipedia low 21,050 = 43.2 per day
Wikipedia average 24,922 = 51.2 per day
Syrian Opposition (to 5/8/12) (link to en.wikipedia.org) 23,593 = 48.5 per day
CNN (12/8/12)18,000 = 36.6 per day
Civilians:
Cast Lead: 700 = 32 per day
Syria:
Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (to 13/8/12) — (link to batchgeo.com ) 3,070= 6.2 per day
UN (link to huffingtonpost.com) (to 27/3/12) 9,000 = 25 per day
Wikipedia high (50% of total casualties) 14,397 = 30 per day
Wikipedia low (50% of total casualties) 10,525 = 21 per day
Wikipedia average (50% of total casualties) 12,461 = 26 per day
Further, in Syria, there are escape routes for civilians to flee the fighting; Gaza was like shooting fish in a barrel. Fixed-wing aircraft? Check. Helicopter gunships? Check. DIME munitions? Not Syria. White phosphorous in population centers? Not Syria. Captive child human shields? Haven’t heard anything about Syria.
Double standards anyone?
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! My hard disk is groaning under the weight of all the information and links I copied over from this wonderfully informative piece of work!
Well, hello neighbor!
I watch in the Czech Republic by simply going to the Daily Show website at link to thedailyshow.com.
The other argument for using 'hafrada' is legal: down the road we as a species are going to want to be able to list this specific form of oppression alongside classic apartheid in the statute books as a crime against humanity.
I think the reluctance is misplaced.
The question was discussed here back in 2010 (link to mondoweiss.net). Given that the word 'hasbara' has caught on in wider circles to describe Zionist propaganda techniques, I wouldn't see the foreignness of 'hafrada' as an obstacle. The term is theirs, not ours and thus excludes the sophistic Zionist arguments against the use of 'apartheid' (See Richard Witty's comments in my link.). This, I think, puts them on more of a back foot than 'apartheid': THEY own the word; THEY have to defend it. No matter its accuracy, 'apartheid' sounds shrill to many ears, and shrill wins no hearts and minds. It is no great logical leap to explain 'hafrada' as an Israeli form of apartheid, so I think we lose nothing by using the foreign/more precise term.
Eitan,
I'm always willing to bite when this tin-foil hat argument is made. Could you please show us where the San Remo Resolution 'names the Jewish People as the national beneficiary of the principle of self-determination'? I've tried and can't find it anywhere. The only mention of the 'Jewish People' is in the sentence 'The Mandatory will be responsible for putting into effect the declaration originally made on November 8, 1917, by the British Government, and adopted by the other Allied Powers, in favour of the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people....' The only mentions of rights in the document regard the rights of non-Jews in Palestine or Jews outside of Palestine. The 4th para of Article 22 similarly spells nothing out.
These are legal documents. Legal documents spell things out. Wishful thinking doesn't create new wording. There is no wording in these documents not requiring wishful thinking.
The video shows the first curls of smoke coming from behind the line of thugs far from any colony land and villagers meeting an attack. The fact that the religious fanatics carry props means nothing. Welcome to the real world.
Re: Link--War is Peace.
War is Peace.
I had a little extra time today, so I Googled 'FAU eviction' and looked at the links. Posted comments on the news links that had the information wrong; noticed how many of the hasbara sites are willing to press ahead with the slander just the same. Of course, I'm not surprised.
I understand the admirable idea of allowing knucklewalkers like you freedom of speech; however, going through your comments record, I can only find regurgitation, not thought. As such, you waste my time. I, for one, would vote to ban you.
