  • 'Jewish cow' is udderly superior to all other cows in the world, Netanyahu says
    • In the first 64 years of Israel's existence, Arab farmers were excluded from the Israeli regulated state quota system.

In 2012, 12 Palestinian Israeli dairy farmers and 24 poultry farmers received state quotas to sell milk and eggs on the regulated market.

However, the permits allocated to the Palestinian Israeli farmers are still symbolic quantities, accounting for a mere 0.02% of the country's annual milk production and 0.03% of all eggs.

  • In letter to John Kerry, 19 reps stand up for Palestinian children behind bars

'Israel's military detention system targeting children is an anomaly in the world. In fact, UNICEF states, "It is understood that in no other country are children systematically tried by juvenile military courts that, by definition, fall short of providing the necessary guarantees to ensure respect for their rights." ' ~ Letter

A reminder of the anomalistic "achievements" of the Israeli military detention system:

The conviction rate for Palestinian suspects in Israeli military courts is a whopping 99.74%
      link to haaretz.com

But the conviction rate for Palestinian CHILDREN in Israeli military courts is even higher at 99.88%
      link to haaretz.com

However, the effective imprisonment rate for Palestinians is greater than 100% because when Israel cannot produce "evidence" to convict, it uses administrative detention to imprison Palestinians WITHOUT charge or trial (for arbitrary periods that can be renewed indefinitely).
To add insult to injury, requests for administrative detention were approved at a rate of 98.77% (see first link above).

  • 'Six Jews sitting in the White House discussing the Palestinian state'
    • "They could not foresee a situation that I encountered regularly, which is, six Jews sitting in the White House, three Israelis and three American Jews, discussing the Palestinian state. It happens all the time. Very often the only non Jewish person in the room was the vice president or the president." ~ Michael Oren
      - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Oren dismisses the claim that "Jews control the media" as an anti-Semitic canard, but then proceeds to lend it credence by writing that it "reflects the disproportionate number – relative to their share of the U.S. population – of Jewish journalists." He goes on to say that "the presence of so many Jews in print and on screen rarely translates into support for Israel. The opposite is often the case, as some American Jewish journalists flag their Jewishness as a credential for criticizing Israel."

According to Michael Oren, Obama violated the US-Israeli understanding and abandoned Israel. Obama also surprised, blindsided, stunned, and failed to brief or consult Netanyahu.

The Israel Lobby vehemently, categorically and unequivocally denies the existence of the Israel Lobby,
EXCEPT when some allies of the Lobby:
      - inadvertently reveal the power of the Lobby by bragging about the sheer magnitude of its power and reach
      - inadvertently reveal the power of the Lobby by complaining about the sheer magnitude of its power and reach
      - reluctantly wield the power of the Lobby by publicly reprimanding the President of the United States

  • PLO: Abbas to head new Palestinian government, weighs national unity with Hamas
    • "President Mahmoud Abbas is poised to continue his role as the chief official of the union under the promise of future elections for his seat and cabinet members..."

Abbas may be the chief official of the union, but he also holds another de facto "chief" title. Mahmoud Abbas is the Chief Buthelezi of Israeli Apartheid.

Like Chief Buthelezi who ruled the KwaZulu bantustan with the express permission of his Afrikaner masters, Mahmoud Abbas rules the West Bank "Area A" bantustan with the express permission of his Israeli masters.

Like Chief Buthelezi's fragmented KwaZulu bantustan which comprised only 2.6% of South Africa, chief Abbas' heavily fragmented "Area A" bantustan currently comprises only 18% of the West Bank (equivalent to a mere 3.7% of historic Palestine).

Like Chief Buthelezi who collaborated with the Apartheid regime and started a bloody civil war against anti-apartheid African groups, chief Abbas collaborates with the Israeli regime and started a bloody civil war against anti-occupation Palestinian groups.

Like the chief collaborator of KwaZulu who tried his hardest to save Apartheid by delegitimising boycotts[1], the chief collaborator of the West Bank tries his hardest to save Israeli Apartheid by delegitimising BDS.

Unlike the chief collaborator of KwaZulu whose bantustan had defined borders, the chief collaborator of the West Bank has a bantustan that keeps shrinking[2].

[1] "Zulu leader Gatsha Buthelezi, chief of South Africa's largest tribe, told Sen. Edward M. Kennedy today that pulling U.S. investments out of South Africa to protest its racial policies hurts blacks more than the ruling white minority." - The Miami News, 10 January 1985
      link to news.google.com

[2] Conversely, as the land under Palestinian control shrinks in size, the number of de facto Palestinian bantustans is actually increasing:
      Land under Palestinian Control:
      - Excluding the 43% of the West Bank that is off-limits to Palestinians (reserved for Jewish-only settlements/councils and roads, closed military bases and zones, Israeli declared nature reserves, areas cut off by separation wall, etc), leaves Palestinians with only 13% of their original homeland. It's ironic that this is equivalent to the 13% that the other Apartheid regime tried but failed to impose in the form of 10 Bantustans.

      De facto Palestinian Bantustans:
      1. Area A - Palestinian Security & Civil Admin control (18% of West Bank land)
      2. Area B - Israeli Security and Palestinian Civil Admin control (21% of West Bank land)
      3. Area C - Israeli Security & Civil Admin control (61% of West Bank land)
      4. East Jerusalem - Illegally annexed by Israel
      5. Gaza Strip - Besieged by Israel (via air, land & sea) and Egypt (land)

  • Obama violated US-Israeli understanding by not clearing Cairo speech and Iran talks with Netanyahu --Oren

Of those 193 states, only one (or 0.5%) recognises Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem. That lonely Rogue state is Israel which occupies East Jerusalem in violation of UN resolutions* and international law.

[*] United Nations Security Council Resolution 478 (1980) declared Israel's attempted annexation of East Jerusalem (Jerusalem Law) as "null and void".

  • Rivlin to announce 'joint Israeli society' -- and try to curb Palestinian house demolitions
    • "...the chief issues discussed will include a possible one-year moratorium on Israel's practice of home demolitions for administrative purposes, a path for legal construction inside of all Arab cities, and a comprehensive plan to address unrecognized Bedouin villages, where 180,000 Bedouins citizens live without access to basic services are all at risk of eviction and demolition."

"...[he] will introduce the concept of a "joint Israeli society" —a notion of who is an Israeli will be expanded to include on equal-footing four segments: Secular-Israelis, religious nationalist, secular nationalist, and Palestinian citizens of Israel."

How dare Rivlin try to curb Israel's apartheid DNA.
Who does he think he is, Rabin?
If he doesn't curb his enthusiasm for justice soon, he could very well end up with the same fate as Rabin.

Israeli Assault on Gaza in Numbers
      link to euromid.org

People (as at 26 August 2014):
      - 2,147 Palestinians were killed, including 530 children and 302 women. 81% were civilians, compared to 9% of the 70 Israelis killed.
      - Among the dead were 16 journalists, 23 health care personnel and 11 UNRWA employees.
      - 10,870 Palestinians were wounded, including 3,303 children and 2,101 women. A third of the injured children (around 3,000) will suffer permanent disabilities.
      - 100,000 Palestinians were evacuated from their homes either because of Israeli threats or because their homes were destroyed or seriously damaged. They have found refuge in UN facilities or with other families, with dozens of people housed in the same home.

      Buildings and Equipment:
      - The total number of homes partially or completely destroyed since the start of this latest war on Gaza reached 17,132: 2,465 homes were completely destroyed and 13,644 homes seriously damaged. Tens of thousands of additional homes suffered less-severe damage.
      - The number of mosques targeted totaled 171; 62 mosques were totally destroyed.
      - 10 churches were damaged.
      - 222 schools were destroyed, including 141 government, 76 UNRWA and five private institutions. In addition, six universities were demolished.
      - 29 hospitals and primary health care clinics were damaged, along with 36 ambulances.
      - 55 fishing boats also were destroyed affecting 3,000 individuals dependent on them for a living, along with 48 NGO‘s that provide the civilians with services.
      - 372 businesses, factories and other industrial or commercial operations were damaged, as well as 19 financial institutions.

      Economic Impact:
      - The direct and indirect economic losses from the war are estimated to be $3.6 billion.

  • Obama equates Israel's creation to African-Americans gaining right to vote
    • "There's a direct line between supporting the right of the Jewish people to have a homeland and to feel safe and free of discrimination and persecution,
and the right of African Americans to vote and have equal protection under the law."
      ~ Barack Obama

There's no direct correlation between the two rights. In fact the correlation is indirect rather than direct.

There's a direct line between supporting the right of the Jewish people to have a homeland and to feel safe and free of discrimination and persecution, and supporting the right of the Palestinian people to have a homeland and to feel safe and free of discrimination and persecution -- it's better known as two states for two peoples or the two state solution as championed by Obama himself.

There's also a direct line between the right of African Americans to vote and have equal protection under the law, and the right of Palestinians to vote and have equal protection under the law.

Therefore, the common denominator between the two universal rights espoused by Obama is actually the Palestinians. Ironically, the Palestinians are denied both of the above rights (as well as many others) by the very same party that Obama is pandering to, Israel.

Rights attained for one group of people at the expense of the rights of another group of people is not justice. Obama should stop trying to bend the arc of the moral universe away from justice.

"The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice" ~ Martin Luther King Jr

  • The Titanic of the occupation -- SodaStream (Update)
    • In July, SodaStream sacked 60 Palestinian workers on the spot, without any due process.
Their crime? -- the workers complained about not receiving sufficient food to break Ramadan fasts during night shifts (SodaStream prohibits employees from bringing their own food because of Jewish dietary laws).

      Some extracts:

"Sixty workers, who are prohibited from bringing food from home because of Jewish dietary laws, found themselves without enough food after the 16-hour fast," Maan’s Jerusalem coordinator, Erez Wagner, said.
Wagner said the workers approached management and explained that it would be difficult for them to work through the night without sufficient food, noting that it was dangerous for them to work the big machines when they were both hungry and tired.
In the end, the shift manager sent the workers home, saying he was canceling the night shift that day and promising that the problem would be resolved the next day.
"The next day, all the night-shift workers received termination notices. They were instructed to return their employee IDs and were treated with hostility; they weren’t allowed to collect their personal belongings," Wagner said.

That's right, "life is not black and white" and "the situation is a little more complicated". During World War II, France was occupied, but its population wasn't ethnically cleansed and it wasn't wiped off the map. On the other hand, Palestine was ethnically cleansed (750,000 Palestinians) and 78% of its land conquered between 1947-1949, with the remaining 22% occupied in 1967 amidst further ethnic cleansing (another 320,000 Palestinians). Whereas France was occupied for 4 years, Palestine continues to be occupied to this day. Both occupations are barbaric and immoral, but for completely different reasons.

Resistance to foreign invaders is instinctive, legal and universal. Occupied people don't need the permission of their occupiers in order to resist.

Correct, fallen non-Jewish Israeli soldiers (Druze, Christian, Muslim) are not buried in military cemeteries.

Here's a summary of the 2013 changes to the regulation governing fallen Israeli soldiers:
      link to jpost.com

The only change applies to "fallen soldiers of Jewish descent but who are nevertheless not Jewish according to Jewish law".
Previously, "fallen soldiers of Jewish descent" had been buried in the same section of military cemeteries but not in the same plot as their fallen Jewish comrades.
After the change, "fallen soldiers of Jewish descent" will be buried in the same plot within military cemeteries although not in the same row.

So "fallen soldiers of Jewish descent" have been promoted:
      - from same section but separate plot
      - to same plot but separate row

One burial policy for fallen Jewish Israeli soldiers (but with separate burial rows for soldiers "of Jewish descent but who are nevertheless not Jewish according to Jewish law"), a different burial policy for fallen non-Jewish Israeli soldiers = Israeli apartheid

The media makes out like this is an intractable conflict between two equal warring parties, but it is not. Palestinian extremists' attacks on innocent civilians must be condemned and ended but the root of the conflict lies elsewhere -- in the dispossession of the Palestinian people. Israel currently occupies, colonises, bombs, raids, and controls the water, trade and the borders of a legally free nation that has been recognised by the United Nations. In Gaza, Israel has created the largest open-air prison in the world, and then blockaded it. Now as bombs fall, the families, literally have no way to get out.

    • China did not ethnically cleanse Tibet. Tibetan leaders and dissidents have sought asylum in exile, but China doesn't summarily execute them, their relatives or compatriots by bombing their homes using warplanes, or snuffing them out in foreign cities using death squads. China "incorporated"/annexed Tibet into China and granted its population citizenship. There are no Chinese only settlements or Chinese only roads in Tibet, and there is no Chinese National Fund that reserves land for the exclusive use of ethnic Chinese.

Like Israel, China represses all resistance to its rule and arrests, tortures and imprisons Tibetans using kangaroo courts. But unlike Israel, it doesn't kidnap children from their beds at night and subject them to the same draconian military courts, courts with near 'perfect' conviction rates of 99.74% for adults and 99.88% for children[*].

In summary, China covets Tibet and its indigenous people, whereas Israel covets the remaining 22% of Palestine (it hasn't already cleansed & conquered) but without its indigenous people.

By all measures, Israel is still the most immoral occupier in the world.

      - at least it does not kidnap Tibetan children from their beds in the middle of the night, then blindfold/shackle, torture and imprison them.
      - at least it does not build impenetrable walls and fences around its Tibetan victims, and a myriad of checkpoints and roadblocks between them.
      - at least it does not impose 7+ year sieges against the defenceless Tibetans, in ruthless acts of collective punishment.

Although China shoots escaping Tibetans as they try to flee across the border,
      - at least it does not shoot unarmed Tibetan civilians carrying white flags as they try to flee dangerous war zones.
      - at least it does not use Tibetan children as human shields and booby-trap bomb detectors.
      - at least it does not murder international humanitarian activists in international waters.

Although China, India, USA and Indonesia (to name a few) are brutal occupiers, at least they don't use their own civilians as human shields by deliberately placing them in subsidised settlements on stolen land deep inside occupied foreign countries (countries with which they are still at war).

Israel, the most immoral occupier in the world.

  • Gaza hospital struck by missiles; int'l volunteers gather to protect it
    • IMAGINE if a hospital in an earthquake zone suffered damage from 5 tremors (resulting in windows and doors blown out, broken glass everywhere, damage to the stairs, a big hole and burnt walls), with the staff and international volunteers in a panic fearing a more severe quake.

Now IMAGINE that the hospital was not damaged by unpredictable earthquake activity, but by state-of-the-art guided missiles deliberately fired by a foreign military power.

Now back to reality -- in a world beset by many natural disasters, Palestine is the world's longest (66 years) Israeli-made UNNATURAL disaster.

  • Terror in Gaza: 57 seconds after 'warning,' Israel destroys a house
    • The IRA used to pre-warn its bombing targets via telephone calls. Its bombings were still terrorist crimes.
The mafia and other criminal gangs warn their intended targets through extortion. Their thefts, kidnappings and murders are still crimes.

History is full of tyrants, dictators and fascists who have practiced collective punishment extortion, where groups of defenceless civilians are pre-warned and held hostage under constant threat of collective punishment. Not only is the punishment meted out to civilians for crimes they do not commit, but for crimes over which they have absolutely no control.

Such sadistic collective punishment is no less tolerable whether it involves death, rape, plunder, or simply just bombing people in their homes.

Israel, the most immoral occupier in the world.

  • Israeli leaders incite hatred against Palestinians and are shocked when people listen (and act)
    • Q: If Israel can arrest 6 alleged Jewish Israeli terrorists WITHOUT demolishing their family homes, killing 10 other Israelis, wounding 90+ others, detaining 540+ more, ransacking 1000+ Jewish settler homes and relentlessly bombing settlement blocs from the air, land and sea, ...then why can't it arrest 2 alleged Palestinian terrorists the same way?

A: Israeli apartheid demands collective punishment.
Israeli fascism demands "death to the Arabs".
Israeli supremacism demands "a thousand non-Jewish lives" for "a Jew's fingernail".

  • Where was God in the Warsaw Ghetto? Or in Gaza?
    • With the December 2008 invasion of Gaza, Israel found itself facing "a strategic loss on the battlefield of public perception," according to Canadian journalist, Jeet Heer. In a National Post column he asserted:

...In Los Angeles, young Jews wearing keffiyehs marched outside the Israeli consulate carrying signs reading "Difference Between Warsaw Ghetto & Gaza? 70 Years."
