  • When it comes to Syria, our press is full of moralizing and propaganda, and short on analysis
    • "The leaders aren't doing a whole lot of PR which is why we don't know them."

Not enough PR? Public Relations ... that explains it!

I guess Nelson Mandela's imprisonment was just an extended 27-year long PR stunt. And all those tunnels that Ho Chi Minh had his troops dig, were just a PR prop.

Of course the fake Syrian rebels main job when not massacring and beheading civilians, is PR -- and there's an abundance of it from their own selfie videos no less -- from beheading children, to eating human organs, to staging fake rescues with fake victims...

    • Try this Quick Quiz (without using a web search)...

      * Can you name the leader of the Syrian rebels (or if killed, name their replacement)?

      * If not, can you name the leaders of the top two major Syrian rebel factions?

      * If not, can you name ANY leader of the top five Syrian rebel factions?

If South Africa had Mandela and Tambo, Palestine had Arafat, East Timor had Gusmao and Ramos-Horta, North Vietnam had Ho Chi Minh, who are the rebel leader/s of Syria?

There are plenty of rebel militias and plenty of rebel fighters (both Syrian and foreigners), and a few opposition coalitions, but where are the real leaders of the Syrian rebels? In truth, there have been so many fake leaders imposed by so many foreign governments jostling to influence the Syrian war that the 'official' rebel leader barely lasts more than a few months, before he is replaced by a new 'elected' leader.

There are no grass roots rebel leader/s of Syria, because there is no civil war. Unfortunately for Syrians, their legitimate pro-democracy protests (inspired by the Arab Spring) were quickly and totally hijacked by a foreign sponsored proxy war whose primary purpose is regime change. Since 2011, Syrian Islamists along with foreign jihadists/mercenaries have been financed, armed, trained and unleashed by foreign governments including the USA, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Britain, Turkey and Jordan (to name a few).

  • Trump makes war, and everyone swoons
    • "Isis, of the list of players it is the newest, least predictable, most clearly aligned with wreaking havoc on Western cities."

Daesh (aka: IS, ISIL, ISIS) has conquered large areas in Iraq (Bush's war), Libya and Syria (Obama's wars), and have killed tens of thousands of Middle Easteners to date. They have also targeted Turkey, Pakistan, and Arab countries including Lebanon, Tunisia, Egypt and others. Their latest bombings were in Egypt just hours ago (at least 44 killed).

Of course, Daesh have also targeted western cities in Europe and the USA, with their latest attack in Sweden a few days ago.

So no, Daesh/ISIS's main purpose is not wreaking havoc on Western cities, but wreaking havoc and conquering the Middle East (starting with Iraq, Syria and the Levant).

But if your only source of news is the Fake News western media, you'd be forgiven for believing that Al Qaeda ISIS is on the verge of conquering western civilisation. Hence the need for the perpetual 'War on Terror' and dropping more US bombs on the Middle East.

    • bulwark: noun (Oxford Dictionaries)
      1. A defensive wall.
1.1 A person or thing that acts as a defence.
      2. An extension of a ship's sides above the level of the deck.

If Palestinians were to rise up in armed resistance against their military occupiers, they are likely to do so in their own territories in the West Bank or East Jerusalem (same for Syrians in the Golan Heights). The Israeli settlements would make strategic targets.

If Koch's "five nation Islamist armies" were to intervene on behalf of the Palestinians, they are more likely to enter the West Bank through friendly territory via Jordan (one of Koch's five nations), rather than via Israel directly (for example via beach landings at Tel Aviv, Ashdod or Ashkelon). Again, the Israeli settlements would make strategic targets.

The fact that the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Golan Heights are recent war zones and are still under belligerent military occupation, makes them more likely to be potential future war zones.

Therefore, by deliberately placing Jewish civilians in subsidised settlements on stolen land deep inside occupied enemy territories (territories with which it is still technically at war), Israel is using the settlers as a "defense bulwark" (Koch's words) or first line of defense (colloquially known as: human shields).

    • "If Israel had only been interested in the West Bank and Gaza for security reasons, it wouldn't have built civilian settlements — colonies — for 600,000 people and counting. Instead, it would have built only military installations. Residential neighborhoods, schools, shopping centers, and parking lots don't give you security."

The late Ed Koch (former mayor of New York City) would strongly disagree, and so would most Zionists. According to Koch, the settlements/colonies are intended "to provide a defense bulwark" against "the Islamist armies" of five nations. In other words, the 600,000 Jewish settlers are Israel's human shields...

"You ask Israel to cease building settlements on the West Bank, which are intended not only to house Israelis, but to provide a defense bulwark when the Islamist armies of the surrounding states, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria - Assad or his opponents - and Iraq, again try militarily to crush Israel" ~ Ed Koch, 2013

  • J Street attends rightwing anti-BDS summit-- and gets called 'anti-Semitic'
    • More proof that the Israel/Palestine conflict is just SO COMPLICATED -- you go to an Israel love-fest hoping to unanimously smear your opponents as anti-Semites, but you get singled out, picked on and then smeared as anti-Semites as well.

      That's just not fair!

  • The rabbi's daughter isn't buying AIPAC's defense of Israel on apartheid charge
    • "So where do we go from here? That's what I'm trying to figure out."

You should never have gone there ...but now that you're there, you must choose.

      Please select your guiding principles:
      (a) universal morality
      (b) selective morality for Jews only (aka Zionism)

I know, it's not that simple. In fact, there is far more nuance and far more complexity to the conflict than that's so hurtful, it's so painful, it's just so complicated.

Therefore, please select the excuse/s that best assuage your conscience:
      (a) "I didn't know" (feigning ignorance to invoke plausible deniability)
      (b) "I don't remember" (feigning short memory disorder or spontaneous dementia)
      (c) "I was profoundly misled" (pretending to be a victim of censorship and/or propaganda)
      (d) "I was only following orders" (pleading Nuremberg defense/collateral victimhood)

  • AIPAC speakers say the enemy is BDS, while 'biggest Jewish-led protest' surges outside
    • Israel will defend itself on the "moral battlefield"…

A country that is built on the RUBBLE & ASHES of another country, and the CORPSES BLOOD & TEARS of another people, has no morals.

Israel has lost all claims to morality.

  • Video: Israeli forces force crying 8-year-old boy barefoot through gravel looking for stone-throwers
    • No doubt Zionists will cry HOAX and claim that the incident is a staged, fabricated, anti-Semitic attempt to delegitimize Israel.

On what basis will they make that claim?
Simple. The traumatised child in the video who was kidnapped and forcibly dragged by Israeli soldiers was not actually barefoot as claimed ...he was still wearing his socks.

Unfortunately, the US government actively targets similar groups of vulnerable people (including those with intellectual and mental disabilities) for entrapment into fake terrorist plots:

Fortunately, more people are waking up to the ever-present phenomenon of fake news.

The fourth rule of Deep State: War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength.
The fifth rule of Deep State: There is no deep state, but if your livelihood depends on it, you have to fight for it.

      And therein lies the problem.

Apologists for Israeli apartheid don't care that Israel violates UN resolutions, human rights conventions and international law.

Apologists for Israeli apartheid don't care that Israel is delegitimizing itself on a global stage.

Apologists for Israeli apartheid don't care that Israel is occupying, oppressing & colonising, arbitrarily arresting, kidnapping kids from their beds, imprisoning, torturing, summarily executing, revoking residency & deporting, evicting & depopulating & demolishing, stealing land, building checkpoints & walls, ghettoizing & besieging, curfewing & collectively punishing, and indiscriminately bombing Palestinians.

The raison d'etre for apologists for Israeli apartheid is "to pin a charge of antisemitism that would actually stick" on any person, group, organisation or country that opposes Israeli crimes.

  • Trump warns annexation of West Bank will cause 'immediate crisis' between US and Israel - Lieberman
    • As far I as I know, Trump is the first US President to draw a red line for Israel pre-emptively -- that is, not as a reaction to an escalating crisis. He did this within the first 2 months of his first term. Of course, the obsequious Hillary Clinton would never have drawn any red lines for Israel. Same goes for Trump's predecessors, the obsequious Obama, Bush junior, and Bill Clinton, whose records speak for themselves.

Some other rare exceptions where US Presidents have used the threat of punitive action against Israel:
      * 1956 Suez Crisis - President Dwight Eisenhower threatened to cut off US aid to Israel and to take legislative action to block private aid by US citizens to Israel, if Israel did not return the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt.
      * 1982 Suspension of Military Aid - President Ronald Reagan ordered a halt to the delivery of cluster bombs to Israel after Israel was found to have illegally used the weapons in its invasion of Lebanon.
      * 1992 Delay of Loan Guarantees - President George H W Bush delayed the approval of $10 billion in loan guarantees until Israel promised to halt settlement expansion.

I don't think we'll ever know what Trump's threat of "immediate crisis" entails, because Israel will probably no longer dare to annex any part of the West Bank. Although Trump has stated that he's agnostic about what a future solution looks like (two-state or one-state), the proviso is that he's happy with any solution "that both parties like". That's the key -- if both parties agree on a one-state solution that's fine, but if Israel unilaterally imposes a one-state solution through annexation, that's a red line. Of course, Palestinians have the same chance of agreeing to an Israeli imposed one-state apartheid regime, as slaves have of agreeing to their own slavery.

  • All Palestinians can become Israeli citizens, but they can't vote, says lawmaker in Netanyahu's party
    • Israeli minister: US warned Israel about annexing West Bank

"JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel's defense minister said Monday the U.S. has notified Israel that imposing Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank would lead to an "immediate crisis" with the Trump administration.

We received a direct message — not an indirect message and not a hint — from the United States. Imposing Israeli sovereignty on Judea and Samaria would mean an immediate crisis with the new administration," Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said at the start of parliament's foreign affairs and defense committee meeting. Judea and Samaria is the biblical term for the West Bank, land Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast war and continues to occupy."

  • 'NYT' runs U.S. propaganda on Russian crimes-- without even a comment thread
    • "Sometimes — such as when he ludicrously argued that civilians in Aleppo had simply covered themselves in dust to look like bombing victims for photographers — my abhorrence infected our working relationship."

Sometimes — the fake victims simply cover themselves in dust.
Other times — as in the FAKE Rescue video below — the fake victims get fake rescuers to cover them in both dust and debris for added effect...

Unfortunately, there are too many real victims on both sides of the US/Saudi/Turkish/Qatari/UK/French/Jordanian sponsored war on Syria.

  • Name the six countries the U.S. is bombing in the Middle East
  • Palestinian children get longer sentences for throwing stones than Israeli soldier got for killing a Palestinian
  • Palestinian Americans find Trump’s stance on Israel/Palestine, Friedman appointment ‘severely distressing’
    • David Friedman is a perfect fit for ambassador given the current nature of the state that he'll be assigned to, and the Prime Minister of that state.

If Friedman, like Netanyahu, wants to delegitimize Israel, then so be it.

  • 'NYT' runs Israeli's op-ed recommending that Palestinians 'emigrate voluntarily'
    • 1. "Jordan is Palestine." Palestinians in the West Bank would be given Jordanian citizenship, with democratic rights there, "but live as expats with civil rights in Israel."

==> It takes a fascist to propose a unilateral scheme that is guaranteed to be rejected by the two parties that are negatively impacted by that scheme (without even consulting those parties). Of course, no people have ever voluntarily agreed to live as third-class non-citizens in their own homeland. Presumably the "expats" can be deported at the whim of the fascist masters.

      2. Bantustans. "Arabs living in Areas A and B — the main Palestinian population centers — would have self-rule."

==> Presumably because self-rule homelands, reserves, bantustans, separateness and separate development, and segregation have proven to be such successful forms of governance elsewhere (Not).

      3. More bantustans. Seven Arab population centers in the West Bank and Gaza would be called "emirates."

==> Israel morphing into South Africa but with a twist. Like South Africa, which once had an Afrikaner imposed 11-state apartheid solution (1 self-proclaimed "white" state and 10 bantustans), Palestinians can similarly have an Israeli imposed eight-state apartheid solution (1 self-proclaimed "Jewish State" and 7 bantustans). Of course, more hasbara will be needed to deny any linkage to evil Afrikaner Apartheid -- the use of "emirates" instead of bantustans, and "emirs" instead of chiefs should probably placate the liberal Zionists.

      4. Give them equal rights, but keep an eye on their "birth rates" and encourage "emigration."

==> What if birth rates and emigration trends turn contrary to expectation? Will it lead to eugenics or ethnic cleansing?

      5. Get out of here. "Palestinians in Judea and Samaria would be offered generous compensation to emigrate voluntarily."

==> Another "very generous offer" that Palestinians cannot refuse. Of course, no people have ever voluntarily agreed to emigrate to make room for their invaders.

What Fleisher left unwritten is what may befall Palestinians if they fail to heed his very generous offers of extortion:

      *6. Ethnic Cleansing (Nakba II)?

      *7. Genocide?

  • After exciting disruptions, David Friedman hearing is a walk in the park
  • Liberal supporters of Israel slam Trump's 'terrifying' comments-- some saying Jews need to keep a majority
    • "Liberal supporters of Israel slam Trump’s ‘terrifying’ comments– some saying Jews need to keep a majority"

There are a few ways to turn minority populations into a majority:

      1. Natural Population Growth through increased birth rates of the minority group (when compared to birth rates of the majority).

      2. Population Growth through Mass Migration (both legal and illegal) and colonisation.

The Zionist colonisation of Palestine started in the late 19th century, with the last mass migration comprising citizens from the former Soviet Union (between 1989 and 2006).

      3. Partition (partitioning the majority into one or more enclaves where they can be more easily controlled).

In 1947, the UN adopted a resolution (supported by 33 foreign countries) recommending that Palestinians give 56% of their ancestral homeland Palestine to foreign colonists who made up 33% of population and owned just 6.5% of the land.
The indigenous Palestinians and all the neighbouring countries rejected the absurdly unfair partition (as would all other people in the world).

Partition failed in 1947 and has failed ever since.

      4. Ethnic Cleansing (this is what the Zionist militias/Israel resorted to when partition failed).

Israel was created by ethnically cleansing 750,000 of the 1,237,000 non-Jewish Palestinian population in 1947-1949 (61% of total, or 85% of those living in the areas that became the state of Israel). Furthermore, about 380,000 Palestinians were ethnically cleansed BEFORE Israel declared its independence on 14 May 1948, and before any Arab armies intervened on behalf of the Palestinians. More than 500 Palestinian villages were depopulated and later destroyed to prevent the return of the Palestinian refugees.

Because of the number of massacres, mounting Palestinian casualties and the resulting refugee crisis (Nakba), the ethnic cleansing was not able to be decisively completed.

After the 1967 war, a further 320,000 Palestinians were ethnically cleansed from their homes (35% of the population of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza Strip). This resulted in millions more Palestinians under Israeli military rule, and is what Zionists now term the 'demographic' problem or time-bomb.

      5. Genocide.

Given that partition ('two-state solution') is no longer a viable option due to rampant Israeli colonization of what remains of Palestine, how do the liberal Zionists propose to engineer another Jewish majority in Israel/Palestine?

    • Israel created the one-state apartheid reality that exists today. Trump is merely acknowledging the reality.

Trump will give Israel more than enough rope ...which Israel can use to either climb out of the deep hole it's dug itself into, or to hang itself. As always, Israel's in control of its own destiny.

  • Trump says he's 'happy' with one-state outcome, ringing in a new era
    • The 'one-state solution' is a misnomer. There is no one-state solution. There currently is a one-state status quo, the inevitable consequence of the 100+ year Zionist colonisation of Palestine. The only alternatives to the existing one-state apartheid reality are:
      - a civil rights movement (as per Jim Crow USA) leading to equality under the law.
      - an armed uprising coupled with a civil rights movement and/or international sanctions (as per Apartheid South Africa) leading to equality under the law.
      - perpetual war.

The starting point for any negotiated agreement should include a transition plan that addresses the following:
      1. Dismantling the Occupation
      2. Desegregation
      3. Equality (repeal of discriminatory laws)
      4. Majority Rule (one person one vote)
      5. Justice, Reconciliation & Reparations

  • Israel interferes in our politics all the time, and it's never a scandal
    • I completely believe that Donald Trump was in bed with the Russians before the election and the campaign may well have intrigued with Vladimir Putin with respect to Wikileaks and that helped defeat Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton lost the election because of the self-inflicted Hillary scandals (the first presidential candidate under FBI investigation) and the fact that her campaign lacked any direction apart from 'I'm with Her' and 'Never Trump". The Russians didn't help Hillary set up an illegal mail server, nor did they delete at least 30,000 of Hillary's emails to destroy the evidence. WikiLeaks has also stated that the source of the Podesta emails was not a state party.

Fake news wasn't invented in 2016:
      - The Gulf of Tonkin incident was fake news, and so was the USA's imminent victory in Vietnam (until well ...they started to lose).
      - The Israel is an eternal victim surrounded by anti-semitic hordes is fake news.
      - The WMDs and the whole justification for the Iraq war was fake news.
      - The 'Saddam Hussein is Hitler', 'Gaddafi is Hitler', 'Bashar al-Assad' is Hitler, 'Trump is Hitler' is also fake news.

  • Trump pick for ambassador to Israel continues to fund settlement construction in the West Bank

  • Democratic politicians want no part of Obama's courage at the U.N.
    • "The Jewish two per cent — which is overwhelmingly liberal — accounts for about two-thirds of all donations received by the Democratic Party. Put another way, the Jewish two per cent donates twice as much to Democrats as the non-Jewish 98 per cent." ~ Lawrence Solomon

Isn't drawing attention to disproportionate "Jewish money" trying to influence U.S. politicians supposed to be anti-Semitic? What if Russian-American lobbies accounted "for about two-thirds of all donations received by the Democratic Republican Party"? How long will it take before the Russian-Americans are labelled as agents of a foreign government, their lobbies deregistered, and their political donations rejected as bribes/foreign interference?

But massive political donations aren't really that important or decisive in U.S. politics, are they? ...

"But Jews are hugely important — even decisive — in their political giving."

"...and that through his endorsements of Obama, Dershowitz in turn duped many American Jews, helping to secure Obama's election and re-election."

"The importance of Jewish money to Democratic fortunes explains why Obama waited to make his moves against Israel until after his two presidential campaigns and the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton..."

But surely the massive political donations are aimed at influencing many of the domestic progressive policies that the Democrats support, aren't they? ...

"If Jews understood his real intentions toward Israel, Obama knew, many would withdraw their financial support."

And doesn't the title of Lawrence Solomon's op-ed sound a bit anti-Semitic (as well as defamatory)? ...

"Lawrence Solomon: How Barack Obama fooled the Jews and betrayed them once he had their money"

So why is Lawrence Solomon using anti-Semitic canards to smear Obama?
Is it because "Jewish money" helped to "secure Obama's election and re-election", but was only able to influence his Middle East policy for the first 99% of his term (first 2,895 days but not the last 28 days)?
Or is it because Obama "repeatedly duped" Dershowitz and many American Jews into donating money under false pretenses?

Perhaps Solomon should hire Dershowitz to sue the Democratic Party for breach of contract (relating to the period from 23 December 2016 to 19 January 2017) and failure to deliver (Clinton's 2016 campaign).

  • Alan Dershowitz has threatened to leave the Democratic Party if Keith Ellison becomes chair
  • Why Obama waited 8 years to take on Netanyahu
    • Why Obama waited 8 years to take on Netanyahu

Obama didn't wait 8 years to take on Netanyahu. On 23 December 2016, he was merely preoccupied thinking about his legacy, as all lame duck Presidents do in the last month before they're put out to pasture.

Obama was so deeply entranced in trying to identify any notable historic achievements of the last 8 years (that he could plausibly use to define his legacy), that he forgot to instruct his subordinates to veto any upcoming UN resolutions. Due to this unfortunate oversight, the US abstained on UNSC Resolution 2334.

As his perpetual wars, failed states and humanitarian disasters in the Middle East precluded any possibility of a legacy related to peace, he resolved to create a new legacy in the last month of his term.

Finally, on 29 December 2016, Obama launched his most audacious mission yet ...he restarted the Cold War with Russia.

President Obama will be the first lame duck President to go out with a Bang! ...but he needs your help. Find out how you can help!

How long should we wait for the next token but irrelevant UN resolution?

  • Wikileaks emails did a tremendous public service, revealing how government works
    • This is what John Swinton, chief editorial writer of The New York Times (1860s) and chief editorialist of the New York Sun, had to say about the 'independent press' (aka mainstream media)...

"There is no such a thing in America as an independent press, unless it is out in country towns. You are all slaves. You know it, and I know it.

There is not one of you who dares to express an honest opinion. If you expressed it, you would know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid $150 for keeping honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for doing similar things. If I should allow honest opinions to be printed in one issue of my paper, I would be like Othello before twenty-four hours: my occupation would be gone. The man who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the street hunting for another job.

The business of a New York journalist is to distort the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to villify, to fawn at the feet of Mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread, or for what is about the same — his salary. You know this, and I know it; and what foolery to be toasting an "Independent Press"! We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are jumping-jacks. They pull the string and we dance. Our time, our talents, our lives, our possibilities, are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes."

But I don't in any way think that Dennis Ross or Aaron David Miller or David Shapiro are any better or less fanatical in their Zionism. In fact, over the decades, Dennis Ross and Aaron David Miller and Martin Indyk did so much damage in foreign policy that David Friedman would be hard press to match. Get a hold of yourselves and stop pretending that US foreign policy was "even-handed" and "sensible" until David Friedman came along."

  • Israel advocates worry Trump's pick for State has anti-Israel bias
    • "I propose what I call a three-state solution, that’s wildly unpopular as well, giving Gaza to Egypt, dividing the West Bank and returning sovereignty of part of it to Jordan" ~ John Bolton

You can't have a three-state solution when you already have at least six. As South Africa once had an Afrikaner imposed 11-state apartheid solution (1 self-proclaimed "white" state and 10 bantustans), Palestine now has an Israeli imposed six-state apartheid status quo (1 self-proclaimed "Jewish State" and 5 de facto bantustans).

      De facto Palestinian Bantustans:
      1. Area A - Palestinian Security & Civil Admin control (18% of West Bank land).
      2. Area B - Israeli Security and Palestinian Civil Admin control (21% of West Bank land).
      3. Area C - Israeli Security & Civil Admin control (61% of West Bank land).
      4. East Jerusalem - Illegally annexed by Israel.
      5. Gaza Strip - Illegally besieged by Israel (via air, land & sea) and Egypt (land).

As the land under Palestinian habitation continues to shrink in size, the number of de facto Palestinian bantustans is actually increasing. Excluding the 43% of the West Bank that is off-limits to Palestinians (reserved for Jewish-only settlements/councils and roads, closed military bases and zones, Israeli declared nature reserves, areas cut off by separation wall, etc), leaves Palestinians with only 13% of their ancestral homeland. It's ironic that this is equivalent to the 13% that the other Apartheid regime tried but failed to impose in the form of 10 bantustans.

Here's a picture of the proposed but failed South Africa 11-state apartheid solution:

Here's a picture of the de facto Israeli imposed six-state apartheid status quo (as at December 2011)

The two pictures look a lot more similar than they would otherwise appear, particularly in terms of percentage of land allocated to the indigenous population, and the mindless (aka: supremacist) fragmentation of that land. The probability of imposing a three-state solution on the oppressed Palestinians after 68 years of oppression, is the same as the probability of imposing a six-state (or even two-state) solution ==> ZERO.

  • Jimmy Carter's proposal to recognize Palestine is dissed by all the usual suspects
    • Dennis Ross in the Washington Post seems to be auditioning for a job in the Trump administration.

Donald Trump would not appoint 'peace process' failures like Dennis Ross, Aaron David Miller, or Martin Indyk as his envoy for the Middle East. These former US envoys, better known as 'Israel's lawyers', have totally failed in conflict resolution by enabling more theft and colonisation of Palestinian land. He is more likely to appoint a Special Envoy from a pool of Zionists he is already close to (son-in-law, business associates, politicians). He is also likely to move the US embassy to Jerusalem (as a US concession which he will expect Israel to reciprocate when he launches his peace plan).

Trump is a self-proclaimed America-Firster, but also sees himself as an Israel-Firster as long as he's convinced that US and Israeli interests are aligned. His Zionism derives from family, close business associates and 'hasbara culture'. Unlike other politicians, he is not bought and paid for by Israel-Firster donors (although Sheldon Adelson wrote an op-ed endorsing Trump, it seems most of his donations went to Republican congressional candidates instead of the Trump campaign: ).

Remember Trump also endorsed Netanyahu during Israel's 2013 election ( ). I believe he did this with his own election run in mind, to prove his bona fides as a "great friend of Israel".

Trump fancies himself as a supreme negotiator and dealmaker, and has a massive ego to match. He would love to resolve the Israel/Palestine conflict precisely because it's become impossible to resolve after so many failed attempts spanning many decades. During a recent interview with New York Times (November 2016), he reiterated the following:

"I would love to be able to be the one that made peace with Israel and the Palestinians. I would love that, that would be such a great achievement. Because nobody's been able to do it."
"A lot of people tell me, really great people tell me, that it's impossible — you can't do it. I disagree. I think you can make peace."

Like most leaders, Trump is still wedded to the 'two-state solution' as the only resolution to the conflict. Because of this, he will not accept any unilateral Israeli annexation of the occupied West Bank, and Netanyahu knows this. When Trump launches his peace plan, he will no doubt expect Israel to reciprocate US largesse by making the necessary concessions to facilitate the two-state solution. However, when Netanyahu fails to make the right concessions and tries to derail Trump's peace plan (as he did with Obama's plans), then all bets will be off.

Unlike the obsequious Obama, Trump will not be 'bending the knee' to Netanyahu, or anybody else for that matter. When it comes to the crunch, Trump is a Trump-Firster, an America-Seconder and everybody-else-Laster.

  • Where do we go from here? Our thoughts & yours on the US election
    • I See Dead People

Under Obama's rule, I see too many dead people.
(Afghanistan, Iraq, Palestine, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Pakistan, Somalia, Ukraine)

Under Clinton's rule, there would have been even more dead people.
(as above, plus Iran, and Russians in Syria & Ukraine)

If under Trump's rule, I see less dead people than Obama's grisly legacy, then the world will be a slightly better place.
(no more regime change, no more nation building [other nations after destroying them])

  • Sheldon Adelson, Trump's billionaire backer, is committed to 'the Jewish people' and believes Palestinians are a 'made up people'
    • "He prayed to God that some day there would be a place that Jewish people would not be subject to the whips and swords of the Cossacks and other bigots" ~ Sheldon Adelson

Well maybe he can relate to the "prayers to God that some day there would be a place (in their ancestral homeland) that Palestinian people would not be subject to the bombs and missiles of the Israelis and other bigots".

Selective morality is the epitome of immorality.

  • Biden speaks for Trump, assuring 'anxious' Jews of 'no diminution' in US support for Israel
    • Here is a tweet by Rania Khalek about one of Trump’s prime influencers, who isn’t getting a lot of coverage!

Sheldon Adelson is not one of Trump's prime influencers. It seems that since Adelson's op-ed endorsing Trump, Trump would not follow orders so the money went to congressional candidates instead.

Sheldon Adelson Focuses on Congressional Races, Despite Donald Trump's Pleas

"The Las Vegas billionaire Sheldon G. Adelson and his wife are giving more than $40 million to groups backing Republican congressional candidates, according to campaign filings and interviews with Republican strategists, disregarding repeated entreaties for support from allies of Donald J. Trump and dealing a major setback to Mr. Trump’s efforts to rally the deepest-pocketed Republican givers."

"Mr. Adelson at one point appeared to be the biggest potential backer in Mr. Trump’s corner. This spring, he published an op-ed article endorsing Mr. Trump and urging other Republicans to get behind him, and in August he donated $1.5 million to the Republican convention, where Mr. Trump was formally nominated in July.

But in the months since, Mr. Trump has shrugged off private pleas from Mr. Adelson and others within his party to modulate his tone and message against Mrs. Clinton."

  • Trump's path to 'most pro-Israel' president paved by bankruptcy expert and real estate attorney who once lived in a settlement
  • Jeffrey Goldberg, anti-Zionist
    • "Jeffrey Goldberg’s elevation as Atlantic editor signifies that he has more power than anyone to change American policy in the Middle East; and he will take it."
      ==> probability: 10.0%

"In the next five years he will become a non-Zionist and call for equal rights in Israel and Palestine."
      ==> probability: 0.1%

"His change will help bring about a settlement of the conflict because he will take all the air out of the most important factor in the entire conflict: the Israel lobby that sustains Israel’s bad behavior."
      ==> probability: 0.01%

Jeffrey Goldberg is an editor of a 'monthly' magazine, which competes with other more popular, more powerful, more influential & wealthy establishment media.

IMO, there is a greater probability that the next President of the USA (Trump) will become an anti-Zionist before Jeffrey Goldberg does.

  • What if the Syria no-fly zone won't fly?
    • What if the Syrian government (with the help of its allies) imposes a no-fly zone over its sovereign territory?

What if the Syrian government (with the help of its allies) seals the Syrian borders cutting off access and supply lines to the foreign invaders financed, armed & trained by foreign governments including USA, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Britain, Turkey, Jordan, and many others?

This is how the war on Syria will end in 2017 (no-fly zone and sealed borders).

  • The two-stroke solution
    • The premise that after 7 years 10 months in office, Barack Obama will suddenly change in the last 2 months, is ludicrous.
      Obama has already changed 2009.

In 2008, Barack Obama promised change.
In 2009, Barack Obama fulfilled his promise and changed.

He changed from a liberal Democrat to a neocon neo-Republican.
He changed from a tough principled negotiator to a weak bipartisan appeaser.
He changed from an advocate of rule-of-law to an enabler of torture & summary executions.
He changed from a professor of constitutional law to a sponsor of unconstitutional laws.
He changed from a defender of government transparency to a persecutor of whistleblowers.
He changed from a master of equal opportunity to a slave of lobby interests.
He changed from a Nobel Peace Laureate to an interventionist War President.
He changed from a champion of civil rights & democracy to a protector of autocratic regimes.
He changed from a neutral & honest broker to an obeisant Israel's lawyer.
He changed from a promising visionary statesman to a myopic reactionary ruler.
He changed from an inspirer of audacious hope to a guardian of conservatism & despair.

Barack Obama promised change, so he changed.

    • "The new MOU constitutes the single largest pledge of military assistance in U.S. history, totaling $38 billion over 10 years" ~ Statement by President Obama

      My Prediction:
[Dateline 2018] Breaking News: U.S. President Donald J. Trump suspends the 2016 Memorandum of Understanding ($38 billion military-aid deal) with Israel after Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced new Jewish settlement approvals on the eve of the U.S. Secretary of State's visit to Israel. The new approvals violate the recent settlement freeze agreed by Israel to kick start the latest round of negotiations for a two-state solution to the conflict.

Trump fancies himself as a supreme negotiator and dealmaker, and has a massive ego to match.
Depending on his audience, Trump is perceived as an America-Firster, an Israel-Firster or both.
However, when it comes to the crunch, Trump is a Trump-Firster who won't allow himself or his office to be publicly humiliated/manipulated like his predecessors.

As Israeli Zionists are the only righteous supremacists, you need a different prescription.

  • Jeffrey Goldberg will be silent till he finds a way to spin all the bad-for-the-Jews news from Israel
    • Jeffrey Goldberg will be silent till he finds an exit plan -- a way to assuage his conscience when Israeli fascism can no longer be concealed by Israel or its lobby (including Goldberg).

The historically tested excuses that have been used for millennia (see below) would not work for Goldberg, for obvious reasons.

Jeffrey Goldberg will be silent till he formulates the 'Goldberg Defense'.

  • Netanyahu's 'ethnic cleansing' video earns strong rebuke from State Department
    • "Ethnic cleansing for peace is absurd. It's about time somebody said it. I just did." ~ Benjamin Netanyahu

As a result of the 1967 war, a further 320,000 Palestinians were ethnically cleansed from their homes (35% of the population of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza Strip).

Today, about 67% of Palestinian residents in Gaza, 30% of Palestinian residents in the West Bank/East Jerusalem, and 25% of Palestinian citizens of Israel are internally displaced refugees who were ethnically cleansed from areas that became the state of Israel.

I agree with Netanyahu -- ethnic cleansing for peace is absurd. It's about time to let the ethnically-cleansed return to their homes so that the healing can begin. Without healing, reconciliation and justice, there will never be peace.
