I am a news junkie, and am passionate about human rights, and do not like any kind of violence against unarmed civilians. I love to travel, especially in Europe, and enjoy learning about different cultures, and eating the local cuisine.

  • 'We are not second class citizens, we are fifth class citizens': Interview with Educational Bookshop owner Mahmoud Muna
    • Strong shades of apartheid, racism, and the arrogance of the majority.

Israel is known for treating minorities like dirt. Didn't the racist owner of the
Clippers say that blacks are treated like dogs in Israel?
Israel the only "democracy" in the Middle East? Yeah riiiiight!

  • A cruel fantasy: 'NYT' sets hopes on US principles for a peace deal
    • Well said Linda Frank, I think you speak for many here. Time the NYT pretended it is short sighted, and make an effort to get out of AIPAC control. It seems the NYT is under occupation too.

  • New, for the home: apartheid wall and security tower, in dove gray
    • Funny how a notorious land grabber, and illegal settlement builder, whines about ISRAEL shrinking. The shrinking map of Palestine clearly shows just how much these poor people have lost, and are still losing. These billboards came up in a few subway stations, including New York, and it made bigots and like Pam Geller's head spin, and also apologists. I am sure you know this, however, here is an example of one such billboard being put up at a Vancouver railway station, and despite the protest, it was accepted as free speech. The UN has predicted the Palestinian territories will be unlivable by 2020, and it is not because the greedy occupier is in any way "shrinking".

    • Great idea. I also feel many strategically placed billboards showing the SHRINKING MAP OF PALESTINE would make many eyes and minds open. I met some brave women in the Princeton area last November, bringing attention to BDS, and they had such a poster behind them, they said the response was great, and that people showed interest.

  • Israel spies on U.S. more than any other ally
    • Wow, why do we have a Mossad station chief in Washington? That is definitely letting the serpent into the room. Are our officials so helpless, that they cannot kick these vermin out of our country?

    • Here is the latest on the Israeli spies…Israel states they do not spy on the US anymore!
What a hoot. Bibi and Israel have NO credibility anymore, so no one, especially our intelligence officers, will believe that BS.

    • The American people will get outraged, only when they are told the whole truth.
What stands between the American people and the truth? That would be the zionist media.

    • I am glad this information is coming out too, especially from our intelligence officials. Congress and the zionist media, are in a way "occupied" and they are terrorized by Israeli lobbies, to toe their line. Notice the media has not touched on this?
So why should Israel keep stooping to spying on the only superpower that has aided and armed it? Is it one way of "controlling the US"?

    • The question for our congress and other leaders, is simple….If Iran kept spying on us, had an Iranian American do much damage to our state secrets, caught spying and spending a life sentence in our prison (like Pollard) and others (like Richard Perle), caught spying on 9/11 by the FBI and having a false front moving company called 'Urban Moving Systems", and if our former intelligence officers declared that it was the most dangerous nation in the Middle East for example:
Haaretz: "Former U.S. officials say CIA considers Israel to be Mideast's biggest spy threat
U.S. intelligence agents stationed in Israel report multiple cases of equipment tampering, suspected break ins in recent years; CIA officials tell the Associated Press that Israel may have leaked info that led to the capture of an agent inside Syria's chemical weapons program". Jul. 28, 2012

Would we still be sending endless aid, weapons, allow their lobby to dictate and write our foreign policies, defend Iran at the UN and protect and veto UN resolutions against it? Not a damn chance.
It is ironic, that the other Middle Eastern nations are demonized by the zionists servants in the media here, and yet our own Intelligence officials believe that the only democratic nation in the ME, and only "true ally" is the MOST devious and mistrusted. That would be Israel.

    • I agree. To keep sending aid, weapons, and unwavering support for this rogue nation, that has been spying on us, is reprehensible, and is against our nation.

  • Video: Uprooted, Walled Out & Cut Off -- The Palestine Festival of Literature visits Jerusalem
    • Lame words, insincere, and typical zionist "shtick" as you say.

    • Ethnic cleansing zionist style. How the occupiers use inhumane methods to extract lands from powerless, occupied people. It was sad to see the old lady cry over losing her home and hear about the vicious acts by Israeli terrorists, who destroyed her orchard. What kind of monsters are these? Why are they allowed to continue their crime spree, and why are they protected from facing a court of international law?
Thank you for posting this video, Adam. I will be sharing this with many.

  • Palestinians remain marginalized at the New York Times
    • NYT is typical of the zionist media in the US. I still wait to hear some credible news source discuss the failed talks in depth. They talk about Bengazhi, Ukraine, even the Pistorius case, but the refusal of Israel to give up announcing more and more illegal settlements in exchange for peace, not a peep. No criticism, no reference, not one courageous journalists asking the American people if our effort to help our dear friend and ally in the ME, was worth it.

  • 'NYT' terms Islamic Jihad's 4 percent support-- 'new traction in Gaza'
    • "We have the right to build a state that only few could dream of, a democratic state like a moral beacon, a state seeking peace that deals well with the unending threats to its security and determined to stand up to every test.”

It is amazing they can utter such words, pretend it is true, and hope the rest of the world will fall for their BS. Building a state at the expense of the indigenous people there, who shed their blood, tears, and live in fear that their homes will be demolished, is totally unrealistic, and how about the unending threats to the victims of oppression, and a brutal occupation? How about their security from their ruthless occupier?

  • 'Flotilla' was flying: Our horse at Meydan
  • Palestinian journalists protest Israeli violations on World Press Freedom Day
  • New iNakba app created to help refugees maintain connection to their home
    • So true. Thanks for that interesting article. I fully agree that recognizing Israel as a "Jewish state" will legitimize Israel's occupation. For the Palestinians to do so, would be self defeating. This demand for being recognized as such by Israel is really, just another road block put up by Israel, to keep the land grabs going.

    • This is a great idea. Those who are ignorant of the inhumane treatment of these indigenous people, can now have access to such information with pictures. Israel seized the megaphone and has spewed it's lies and propaganda, to naive Americans, who were made to believe that Israel is THE victim in all this, and that it deserves the aid and support to help "defend" itself. The joke is, we have been defending the wrong side, this evil side, that has pulled the biggest scam on us.
This long list of crimes makes interesting reading always, but it should make any reasonable thinking person, sad. Sad that these helpless Palestinians have to face evil on a daily basis, and no one cares a damn about getting them out of this prison, and give them their rights and freedom.

  • Obama outmaneuvers Netanyahu, at last
    • All the Obama administration has to do is, start being open and honest about Israel's many crimes, apartheid policies, and allow the Palestinian suffering to be publicly mentioned. He has to bypass the zionist media, who dare not even mention the failure of these talks and the true reason it failed. It never mentions that primarily it was Bibi's greed for lands, and the fact that he broke his word, when he did not release those prisoners. His administration only has to speak the truth, and the truth will hurt the zionists. I am disgusted that the zionist media here, and that it either downplays, or ignores, the ongoing crimes against humanity by Israel, exaggerates, or even lies, about the dangers from the Palestinians, implying they are all terrorists, allows dishonest Israeli officials to spew their propaganda and lies unchallenged, and deliberately keeps Americans ignorant about the real story.
It is time the Obama administration remedied the problem. All they have to do is speak the truth, not hard to do. It will be simply shedding light on the cockroaches.

    • Interesting article. I think Obama's hands are tied (with AIPAC chains) and he knows that to condemn any behavior by Israel and penalize it, would be met with growls from Israel's guard dogs in congress. Their alien master has made sure those campaign contributions are put to good use, and will whip them into submission.
Whoever leaked this information and decided to inform the world, as we all knew, that Israel has deliberately rejected peace for it's greedy need for stolen lands, and that it reneged on it's word to release prisoners, and that the blame must fall squarely where it belongs - on the side that stubbornly cling to the status quo. This brutal occupation keeps giving Israel the excuse for endless illegal settlements, and control of water etc. There is a deadly silence coming from the zionist servants in the American media. Not one American journalist or news channel even referred to these new developments, the breakdown of the peace talks, the accusations of Israel being the culprit who rejected peace, and that the Palestinians have been made the scapegoats. If any of the Sunday talk shows discussed this, or updated their viewers that the US does blame Israel for the failure, I did not see it. This too will be swiftly ignored and covered up by the media, and the American people will once again be ignorant of the truth. I do not have hope that President Obama will change the Israeli control of the US, or that these latest developments will initiate that change. Israeli lobbies have deviously spread the poison into our political system, the media, think tanks and financial institutions.
There is no way we can be rid of this toxic alien nation. It has thrived by being firmly ingrained into our nation and culture, and it exists through deceptions and intimidation. The rest of the world will perhaps take this truth and act upon it, but as usual the US will continue to have a lapse of memory, or feign ignorance, and keep supporting this parasitic burden.

  • When a wedding party is a form of resistance
    • Wonderful story. A cloud always hovers over their heads, but it did not stop them from joyful celebrations, dancing, and enjoying such a great occasion, despite the check points. Good luck to the young couple, and hope they find happiness inside their new home, despite the ugly reality outside.

  • Now Rand Paul wants to 'Stand with Israel'
    • Despite his father's stand regarding Israel, seems the younger Rand has decided to sleep with the Devil….like other American politicians with political ambitions seem to do. What next? Perhaps a junket trip to Israel so that he can skinny dip in the Dead Sea?

  • In historic interviews, US officials blame end of talks on Israeli land theft
    • Remember that "poof" moment by John Kerry? Here is a video of how the zionist media of America, changed his narrative to blame both sides for the failure of these peace talks, when it was clear he was blaming Israel mostly, for the illegal settlements and not releasing Palestinian prisoners as promised.

    • I just read it myself. Martin Indyk is Jewish, and blaming Israel for the breakdown of peace talks from someone of his stature will have some impact. Of course, we should expect the apologists to call him self hating, nevertheless, it is brave of him to cast blame on the deserving party, knowing the consequences. I am sick of US officials covering for Israel, and protecting them from world censure. I hope it is a sign of things to come.

    • Once the US let's the parasitic nation go, stop the aid, and unwavering support, the chances for the Palestinians to have an independent state, are higher.
It will be amusing to see the devious Israeli lobbies scramble and try to put their spin on this.

    • You are absolutely right. The zionist media of America will never run with this, mention it, nor agree to what these officials say. That koolaid must be really toxic.
If this does not convince our Israel firsters that something is horrible wrong here, nothing else will.

    • Wow straight out of the horses mouth. What a well written article, and it is heartening news, that for once, the US officials are NOT intimidated by threats, nor being pressurized by alien lobbies, and simply stating the truth. For months apologists and hasbaracuda have come out, even here, and blamed it all on the occupied, powerless victims. Of course, we all knew, we read the articles, and even Mondoweiss kept focussing on the truth - that the greedy occupier has absolutely NO intentions of ending the brutal occupation, because to end it, they must stop the disgusting crime of land theft. Until they have brutally got rid of the Arabs in the Galilee, taken over their lands, water, and valuable resources, this rogue nation of Israel, will continue to demolish, steal, kill, kidnap, and continue their crime spree against civilians, including children.
I do agree with the writer, that NOT ONE of the US officials suggested cutting all aid to this apartheid nation, because the only way to make them change their evil ways, is to hit them where it hurts. While we are at it, perhaps we should ban all alien lobbies that operate so deviously within our political system.
I hope our corrupt congress will open their eyes and realize they have misplaced loyalties to a rogue nation, that has taken us for a long, expensive, ride. We have to stop being naive, and believing a brutal occupier, who keeps pretending they are held under siege by unarmed occupied people.
Now it will be amusing to see the occupier's paid minions attack the Palestinians, John Kerry, and President Obama, for the failure of these talks. That koolaid is strong.

  • The latest page in Israel's divide and conquer playbook: enlisting Palestinian Christians
    • A united Palestine it should be. Show your racist neighbor how to live harmoniously with all religions. The occupier is not only brutal, but it is extremely devious setting one against the other, so that they can justify their violence, and keep pointing out how you guys cannot get your act together. Character wise, I would describe zionist Israelis like the wicked witch of the Middle East, always causing trouble, mean spirited, ugly, and trying to steal as much as possible, while pretending it is a victim.
It certainly has cast a spell on naive Americans through it's zionist media.

    • Ah the divide and conquer rule. Nothing Israel does is what it seems to be. They are masters of deception. I am reminded of the time they were found to deliberately make sure Palestinians were given a certain amount of calories, just enough not to starve them, so that the world will not look into their policies of deprivation and sending less food into the territories:
“The idea is to put the Palestinians on a diet, but not to make them die of hunger.”[2] Of course, Israel puts the spin on it that its goal is to prevent starvation. But cutting food trucks allowed into Gaza from 400 trucks a day to 67 exposes its true purpose. Netanyahu’s health ministry has determined that Gazans need only 2,276 calories a day to keep from starving. Thus, that is all they get, except of course, when Israel closed the crossing completely for ten days to celebrate Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year), when no trucks were allowed in. Israel’s “diet” program simply does not express benevolence to anyone … except those who deliberately choose to be blind to the everyday crimes against the people of Gaza." for Political Economy.
So it this to get the evangelicals and zionist Christians to rally around the rogue nation? Devious no?

  • US labels settler attacks as 'terror' -- and Israel pushes back
    • I hope so. Your people have suffered for decades SO much, lost so much, and your children have been cruelly treated, having never known a life without check points, blockades, and deprivation. I cannot fathom how any people, from any religion, can stoop to such vicious actions, and justify it. Good luck to your people, and I sincerely hope they find much deserved peace, and freedom, in our lifetime.

    • All these promises to find the price tag terrorists by Israeli leaders is a whole lot of bull and has absolutely no credibility. Israel deliberately looks the other way (according to many international agencies) and does sweet nothing whenever these bigoted crimes are committed. As usual Israel makes hollow promises, and we know damn well, there will be no repercussions for these crimes, and these vicious terrorists, will continue their terroristic activities without fear. It is unbelievable that some that use the holocaust card to gain sympathy, use it as an excuse to perpetrate racist crimes on helpless people. Their hatred is deep rooted and gets worse by the crime.

  • Kerry's Last Ditch Effort
    • That sounds bad. Now on top of that imagine Syria spying on us, bombing a research ship killing 34 crew members, wounded 171 crew members, over international waters , selling our weapons to China, and interfering in our Presidential elections….sounds disgusting.

    • The apologists/hasbarats are either naive, or operate pretending they know nothing.
It seems the crimes and intentions of Israel do no sink into their minds.
They seem to be programmed to be in constant denial, and have convenient lapses in memory when it comes to Israel's crimes.

    • Great illustration. It gives us an idea of how slanted these peace talks must have been.
The last one showing Bibi with his sly smile. Right now Israeli minions are given the usual air time on the zionist msm of America, spouting off propaganda and lies, about just how serious Bibi is about peace, sacrificing and supporting it so much, and casting blame on the Palestinians for the failure. We are not supposed to remember that over 14,000 illegal settlement homes have been announced by Israel (frowned on by the US) the irrelevant demands, and using every excuse they can, to refuse to cooperate with the US. It is unbelievable that these apologists lie with a straight face, and get away with those lies, because our media dare not question, or contradict, those lies.
The Palestinians are hardly interviewed or given some air time.

  • Red Card for Racism: Activists demand FIFA kick out Israel
    • Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia, and it clearly gives reason for FIFA to kick Israel out. Israel does not protect Arabs even in the sporting arena. Ugly.
"Racism in soccer stadiums is a worldwide problem, and Israeli stadiums are not free from racism.[101] The first racist incidents took place in the 1970s, when the Arab player Rifaat Turk joined Hapoel Tel Aviv. Turk was subjected to anti-Arab abuse during nearly every game he played.[100] Arab soccer player Abbas Suan was confronted once with a sign reading "Abbas Suan, you don't represent us".[102] Under Israeli law, soccer fans can be prosecuted for incitement of racial hatred. The "New Voices from the Stadium" program, run by the New Israel Fund (NIF) amasses a "racism index" that is reported to the media on a weekly basis, and teams have been fined and punished for the conduct of their fans. According to Steve Rothman, the NIF San Francisco director, "Things have definitely improved, particularly in sensitizing people to the existence of racism in Israeli society."[101] In 2006, Israel joined Football Against Racism in Europe (FARE), network set up to counter racism in soccer.[103]

After a soccer game in March 2012, in which Beitar Jerusalem defeated a rival team at Jerusalem's Teddy Stadium,[104] a group of at least a hundred Beitar fans[105][106][107] entered the nearby Malha Mall chanting racist slogans and allegedly attacked Arab cleaning workers, whom some reports described as Palestinians. The police were criticized for initially failing to make arrests;[108] it later investigated the incident, issuing restraining orders against 20 soccer fans and questioning several suspects among the cleaning crew seen waving sticks at the fans.[109]

    • The viciousness and brutality of zionists never fails to amaze me. Disgusting brutes.

Maybe this might help those interested:

    • Excellent response. Perhaps the pot conveniently forget it was calling the kettle black.
(IRIN) - Migrant workers in Israel’s agriculture sector are among the most exploited, according to a 28 October report by Kav LaOved, an Israeli NGO campaigning for the rights of disadvantaged workers in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

Ninety percent of such workers work more hours than allowed under Israeli law, without overtime payments, said the report, which has been presented to members of parliament.

The report summarizes hundreds of complaints by agricultural workers and dozens of inspections by Kav LaOved volunteers at work sites around the country, and paints a grim picture of systematic exploitation and severe violations of workers’ rights in the agricultural sector.

Hanna Zohar, Kav LaOved director, said the workers, mostly Thai, are completely unaware of their rights.

“Having paid US$8-10,000 to work in Israel, they are prime material for abuse by the farmers, as they are afraid to lose their jobs and not able to pay off the loans taken to cover these payments to the middlemen,” Zohar said. "

I am sure Zach is happy he opened this can of worms. :))

    • Yet another "look over there, they are worse" comment. What Qatar has done is not acceptable, and they should be held accountable. However, let's start with the bigger culprit first, the long standing occupier, who for decades have violated international laws, and still hold 1.8 million civilians in open prisons, and who have to apply for special permits to leave their territories, and innocent people are thrown in Israeli dungeons, for no reason, and kept there, at the whim of the brutal military force (case and point young Sameh Moraebe,) and let's also take a look at the young group who were refused permission to go to Qatar for training from the Strip to the West Bank, all pointing to the arrogance of the occupier, and collective punishment of youth, who only want to play sports. Israel deserves to be kicked out of FIFA, for showing it does not play fair.

  • John Kerry was right to say 'apartheid' -- more voices chime in
    • I agree with what you say. Sure Haaretz is the only publication that even mildly criticizes the government. I however also meant that the latest news regarding Israel, including US policies affecting Israel, peace talks etc., are reported in pro zionist websites like Ynet News and others, which I have copied on occasion. It is hardly mentioned in the US.

    • The irony of it all is, you see the articles and criticism of Israel more from within Israel, than in the zionist media of the US, where it is taboo to speak of the crimes of Israel. Josh Ruebner, and the others who called a spade a spade, is right. If only John Kerry got that support from his colleagues and American leaders.
Apartheid should be the word, and it is right now.

  • Thousands of Israeli soldiers protest 'their hands are tied' while serving in the occupied territories
    • Good point Ecru. all this while they get away with killing a Jordanian judge, and several other civilians at check points, and murdering unarmed civilians who dare get close to their apartheid fence. What the heck are THEY complaining about?

    • I am sure there are millions of reasons. Palestinian children are traumatized, and abused, by Israeli forces, and report after report highlights this. The Israeli forces act like the Devil's chosen, and their government does not do a darn thing to halt this brutal and inhumane treatment of innocent children.

If you have gone through years of living under a violent military occupation, you sometimes act recklessly, like confronting an armed thug.

    • Small brained men with big guns. Take the weapons away and they diminish into nothing. How tough they must think they are, aiming a loaded gun at unarmed kids.
The Israeli forces have evil, and meanness i,n their psyche, just like the zionist government that does nothing to bring justice for Palestinian children. These are Israel's vicious thugs who terrorize, kidnap, and jail, little children.

  • Peace process: Aaron Miller moves from 'too big to fail' to 'rock and roll will never die'
    • Talking about Rock and Roll…I always liked Pink Floyd. Now two members are calling on the Rolling Stones to NOT play in Israel. Thank you, that's another" brick in the wall" that will help BDS cement their campaign.

"Pink Floyd calls on Rolling Stones to boycott Israel
'Playing Israel now is the moral equivalent of playing Sun City at the height of South African apartheid,' writes Roger Waters. - Haaretz

  • When the Holocaust shows up
    • Good performance, and she was spot on. It is due to the holocaust that Israel has been able to get away with all it's crimes against it's neighbors, lie, and with US support, get away with it all. The gentleman who was a holocaust survivor ended it all with his very astute take on holocaust victims now causing the next holocaust. So true.
      Thanks for posting this.

  • 15 years ago, 'IHT' piece warned: failed peace process='apartheid'
    • I hope your efforts to persuade Chris Hayes to have Ali Abunimah on his show, will be successful. It is disappointing that apologist after apologist come on the zionist msm in the US, lie, exaggerate, and say anything they want to, without a voice from the other side challenging the lies, or shed light on what is happening on their side.
I am sure there are excellent speakers like Ali Abunimah, who would be happy to speak for those who are never represented, or address the zionist propaganda.
      Good luck.

    • All signs say Israel has chosen to keep the status quo, which really leads to apartheid, and it is almost there. Many world leaders have stated that they can recognize apartheid policies when they see it, but when John Kerry said it aloud, oy vey, what outrage. It is a shame that no American has supported Kerry, whether his old colleagues in congress, the media, or even someone from the Obama administration.
I guess they are afraid to face the wrath of apartheid nation and it's lobbies here.
Can the world's greatest superpower be afraid of a small, alien nation, that is aided, armed and supported by that same superpower? Seems so.

  • Fiddler on the Nakba
    • They must be running short of recruits and desperate, they sound like they are in middle school at this point, although Haaretz reported:

"The Prime Minister's Office is planning to form, in collaboration with the National Union of Israeli Students, "covert units" within Israel's seven universities that will engage in online public diplomacy (hasbara).

The students participating in the project, who would post on social media networks such as Facebook and Twitter on Israel’s behalf, will be part of the public diplomacy arm of the PMO, but would not identify themselves as official government representatives.

About a week ago, the outgoing deputy-director general of the Public Diplomacy and Diaspora Affairs Ministry, Daniel Seaman, sent a document to the government tender committee seeking to exempt the national student union from being chosen as the partner in the project through a public bidding process.

The PMO is looking to invest close to NIS 3 million to recruit, organize and fund the activities of hundreds of university students, as part of the country’s public diplomacy effort."

I think that is money (US tax dollars?) wasted. They cannot make a even a dent here!

    • " No one is stopping them."
Actually there is an ongoing blockade and a brutal occupation, they are unable to go in and out of their own territories without going through numerous check points, being shot at by fences, they were unable to export their goods, nor get basic items in, including writing implements, crayons, stationary, soccer balls, and musical instruments have been, at times, banned for import. The children are traumatized and do not know life without guns being pointed at their heads, or feel fear that they will be dragged out of their beds at night and thrown in jail with the other 700 children, they have to get special permits to leave the territories, and no permits are given to build their homes (while the brutal occupier keeps building more and more ILLEGAL SETTLEMENTS, against UN resolutions.
I am sure you are smart to realize SOME evil force is stopping them from progressing, create, and thriving, like they were before their evil occupiers were placed there by the UN, and every thing was downhill for them from then onwards, while the transgressors from Europe, thrive, create, and enjoy life, while sipping Palestinian water. It would be a miracle if these victims could achieve anything after what they go through. You realize your comment is well, naive, to say the least.

  • Israel approved almost 14,000 settler homes and demolished over 500 Palestinian structures during 9 months of peace talks
    • The fact that hasbaracuda and apologists keep blaming the Palestinians for the breakdown of peace talks is unbelievable, when you read the list of above crimes by the side that pretends to be the victim in every issue. It is obvious, exactly which party defied US and UN condemnation, and keep demolishing more homes, to steal lands for their disgusting illegal settlements. The fact that Mosques are also demolished simply shows just how arrogant these zionists are, and that they have absolutely no respect nor regard for other religions. How would these criminals react if a synagogue was bulldozed? The whining would be endless.
It is sad these poor Palestinians have no one to stand up for them, and that they are always the victims who lose so much.

  • Very far from paradise: Palestinians from Fureidis protest 'price tag' attack
    • I agree that Assad was thrust into this position, and really, who knows what happens there, it is all murky, with the situation made worse, by interference from the US and Israel. Also, for their devious reasons, they even trained the rebels, and arm them. Nothing is what is seems to be in Syria.

    • They have eerily become filled with hatred and arrogance, just like those who once treated their people badly. They must have evil within them, to keep these criminal hate crimes going, and arrogance to think they are entitled to act like terrorists, and no one should stop them. All this, and they keep crying victim too!

    • Are you comparing the "only" democracy in the ME to a brutal dictator?
Does it make you feel better that there are worse criminals in the region? Fairy god mother? No way, more like the wicked witch of the Middle East, after all we are pouring in billions of dollars, weapons, and support to the only democracy in the ME, and it keep ill treating it's unarmed neighbors, or looks the other way when their criminals attack them. One does not have to accept what I say, let them however take the word of the UN and NGO sources, and even the Israeli Justice Minister:
""Attacks by extremist Israeli settlers against Palestinian residents, property, and places of worship in the West Bank continued and were largely unprosecuted according to UN and NGO sources," says the State Department's annual Country Report on Terrorism.

Justice Minister Tzipi Livni responded to the report Wednesday saying, "Hate crimes that have rode into Israel from Yitzhar destroys us from within and disfigures our impression on the outside world."

Livni said that the report, "unveils what we already knew: these crimes, known as 'price tag' crimes, inflict massive damage in Israel... as a nation that must bring these criminals to justice."

The report states that attacks of this nature number in the hundreds.

"The UN Office of the Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs reported 399 attacks by extremist Israeli settlers that resulted in Palestinian injuries or property damage. Violent extremists, including Israeli settlers, vandalized five mosques and three churches in Jerusalem and the West Bank, according to data compiled by the UN."

The paper also notes that the phenomenon has spilled over into Israel, where Muslim and Christian sites have been targeted."-Ynet news.

    • It seems the US State Department is keeping track of these heinous crimes:

"Crimes by Israeli extremists against Palestinians spread into Israel and went largely unpunished last year, according to the U.S. State Department's annual Country Reports on Terrorism for 2013, released on Wednesday.

Within the chapter on Israel, the West Bank, Gaza and Jerusalem is a sub-section dedicated to "price tag" attacks, defined as "property crimes and violent acts by extremist Jewish individuals and groups in retaliation for activity they deemed to be anti-settlement." According to the report, citing the United Nations and NGO sources, such acts were "largely unprosecuted."

There were 399 attacks by Israeli settler extremists that resulted in Palestinian injuries or property damage, including five vandalized mosques and there churches in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Oh they know that such crimes go on, yet we keep supporting these criminals with aid.
How about insisting that the charity receiver, do something to stop these crimes?
Why do we keep showering this rogue state with unwavering support, knowing that it is guilty of numerous crimes against powerless civilians, the true victims?

    • These illegal settlers have a vicious streak in their DNA. How much more should these poor Palestinian people endure? Their Mosques have been attacked, tires slashed, racist graffiti spray painted on Mosques and other structures, and have been spat on, and orchards destroyed, by those who should be rightfully called Israel's front line terrorists and thugs. According to many reports hardly any of these barbarians are held accountable for these crimes, nor face any kind of sentence, for what can be considered serious crimes. The Israeli government knows how to flex it's muscles at unarmed neighbors and use brute force on them, but strangely cannot control their criminals. What we sometimes forget is, that these Palestinians have been abused for so long, and it is no wonder they want to retaliate in some way or the other. If Americans were treated this way, I know they will want to retaliate in ways that will make the occupiers head spin.

  • Defending Apartheid – From 1968 to the present
    • Because they are notorious for stealing the property of others, so to feel good about themselves, they like to lie about their accomplishments too.
I wonder how long it would take before the started lying that they discovered these were their inventions too:

They are the worlds no. 1 bullshitters.

    • You make a good point, when you make a comparison between Israel, and nazi Germany.

    • It simply shows they are arrogant enough to think that the entire world must accept their criminal behavior, the brutal occupation, and crimes against civilians, because their wonderful innovations, and boy, they have more Nobel prize winners more than their neighbors. It seems these "brilliant" thinkers don't realize that the good they do in the world, is always overshadowed by their illegal settlements, deaths of unarmed civilians, and the ongoing occupation. They find it hard to fathom that out, and are even outraged.
Their brains must be pill sized like those cameras.

  • It is 'full-fledged apartheid' now but Americans can use a familiar term, 'segregation' -- Mustafa Barghouthi
    • Interesting article in Huffpost, the title says it all. Not ONE person has come up and supported John Kerry. The little servants of Israeli lobbies, all dutifully criticize him, forgetting he is an American, and they speak up for an alien nation disliked by the rest of the world, who has been branded, deservedly, as apartheid.

    • So did the Rev.Desmond Tutu. Only the vicious apologists can make respected leaders look bad through hasbaracuda methods.

    • He most probably is, but no one dares to discuss his comments about blacks being treated like dogs in Israel, and that he speaks and thinks this horrible way, because of his upbringing and culture.

    • It is so obvious that these so called American patriots, keep putting an alien nation above their own nation, leaders, and officials. The immediate defense of this brutal occupier, is unbelievable. It shows just how powerful the detestable Israeli lobbies can be, and how swiftly they are able to get their American servants to do their bidding.

    • That explains why these scoundrels are never prosecuted.
Apparently the US State Dept. is keeping an eye (but no one does anything).

The US State Department published inflammatory remarks about Israel and "settlers" on Wednesday, just days after US Secretary of State John Kerry said Israel could become an "apartheid state."

The 2013 anti-terrorism report investigated terror activity across the globe in 2013, and was published on its website. The "Israel, West Bank, and Gaza" section, however, focuses intensely on "extremist Israeli settlers" and subtly calls for them to be prosecuted by the UN.

"Attacks by extremist Israeli settlers against Palestinian residents, property, and places of worship in the West Bank continued and were largely unprosecuted [sic] according to UN and NGO sources," the report claims, citing the leftist UN Office of the Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs.

The report also cited "399 attacks by extremist Israeli settlers that resulted in Palestinian injuries or property damage" and deemed them "violent extremists" - mostly over "price tag" attacks against Palestinian Arab homes and property.
-Israel National News (article goes on to whine about Palestinian crimes not taken into account….yeah right, that is what the zionist media of America has been constantly focusing on, for years)

    • Chris Mathews is no different from the others who work for zionist msm, USA.
Here is an article from Mondoweiss, where he admits he has taken (junket) trips to Israel, at the expense of Israeli lobbies:

Now how can we NOT think, that Mathews lost any sense of credibility and integrity, when he accepted the freebie trip, and gave up being unbiased. They all toe the zionist line.

    • The zionist msm is afraid, some have an insane loyalty to that alien nation, others fear that they will lose their plum jobs, and never work in any zionist msm again.
They will be ostracized and made out to be antisemitic. Meanwhile the American people are deliberately kept in the dark about the truth. No coverage from the refugee camps, or how the Palestinian live under blockade, no rights, checkpoints, lands being stolen, homes demolished, polluted water, and other injustices, they are suffering on a daily basis. No, according to our wimpy msm, all Palestinians are terrorists, and deserve the brutality inflicted on them by their occupier. Sad.

  • J Street woos the lobby as Israel considers annexing the West Bank
    • Are our leaders dumb or blind? Every step of the way, Israel treats the world with contempt, including the US, by doing exactly what it wants regarding illegal settlements, detrimental to the peace talks. Anyone with an iota of sense can see, by Israel's disgusting actions, it is NOT interested in peace. All it wants is to keep the brutal military occupation going, so that it can extract, and ruthlessly steal, as much as they can from the Palestinian territories. Why the heck is the congress, and even the Obama WH, pretending this is not happening? Bibi and his band of bandits, lie at every turn, while the truth is so obvious, and it seems the entire world, except those who they control in the US, know their diabolical schemes. This must be one of the top scams by a rogue nation, in our lifetime. It seems soon the Shrinking Map of Palestine, will change for the worse again, making the UN prediction that the Palestinian territories will be unlivable by 2020, come true sooner. What a sad situation for the Palestinians.

    • Chris Hayes did get rolled by Josh Block from the Israel Project. Block tried hard to blame the breakdown of peace talks on the Palestinians, and Hayes did manage to refer to the illegal settlements as a reason, but it went by too fast, Block managed to get his (unchallenged) talking points across.
I have yet to see ONE member of the US zionist media, criticize, question, or present the true picture of, Israel. They seem to be terrified to be seen as, or accused of, being antisemitic. They are afraid of losing their jobs, and never finding work again.
Case and point, the recent racist comments by the Clippers owner, referring to his upbringing, culture, and the fact that blacks are treated like dogs in Israel, is never mentioned and discussed. It is conveniently overlooked.

    • Beware. Israel, devious as always, has been caught mislabeling products, and hoodwinking consumers:

  • Intra-Palestinian Reconciliation: Time for accountability
    • The Palestinians are expected to make decisions involving their people, not for their advantage, or for improving their situation, but to satisfy it's hostile occupier.
The rest of the world seems to think uniting and getting their act together is a good thing for the fractured Palestinians, but what do you know, it threatens and makes the occupier, angry. Sounds like Israel wants the groups to be at each other's throats, and a united front makes Israel vindictive, and afraid.

  • Apartheid label will stick
    • Did not make the news at all, now imagine this was an Israeli boat, the cries of victimization, more pleas for aid, and deafening outrage, would make the rounds in our zionist media. These poor Palestinians do not have a megaphone like the zionists, and do not whine like them either.

    • Good point Hostage, apparently Jews are not allowed to live with their Arab spouses in this wonderful "democratic" nation called Israel either, and even if they marry outside, their marriage is not recognized in Israel.
"For, while touted as the only “democracy” in the Middle East, Israel does not offer its citizens the option of civil marriage. Since 1953, the only marriages recognized as legal by the Jewish state are Orthodox Jewish marriages, and civil marriages performed outside Israel. While it does not prohibit interfaith and other religious marriages, Israel does not recognize them as legal unions."
      Equal rights?

    • Here is how brutal Israel can be….Gaza Ark, supposed to be leaving from Gaza, to bring world attention to, and protest, the blockade, has been hit by a blast. One guess which mean, evil, and occupying military power, is behind this crime.
If an Israeli vessel had been hit, the precision bombs would have hit homes in Gaza by now. Oh the arrogance of occupiers!

"Blast strikes protest boat docked in Gaza, activists say Israel to blame
'Gaza's Ark,' set to sail to Europe to protest Israel's blockade of Gaza, was hit by a blast early Tuesday; IDF: We don't respond to such reports.

    • There is desperation in how they are lashing out. The world is closing around them, they try as much as they can to control the US and what is happening here, but signs are not looking good for the zionists elsewhere. The EU and colleges are looking at boycotts, the majority of the world voted to give the Palestinians partial recognition at the UN, and the reconciled parties including Hamas and Fatah, are accepted by many, even the EU says it can be workable. So simply observe the obedient servants in Congress, come on zionist US media, and criticize Kerry for speaking what the rest of the world knows is the truth, watch how they do the bidding of their masters in Israel, though their lobbies, and be amazed that the world's greatest superpower is in the hands of a devious alien nation, who can call the shots, and make their American puppets dance when it so demands. John Kerry unleashed the word "Apartheid", and it will not go away.

  • Ari Shavit blames breakdown of talks on Arabs' 'anachronistic political culture'
    • (while the world looks away and focuses their attention on the fact that Jews are building homes).
      - Aw, sounds like you want sympathy, but failed to mention that those so called "homes" are being built on disputed and stolen lands, and Palestinian homes are bulldozed and demolished, so that "Jews" can live and attack it's neighbors.
The "look over there, we are better than that" comment will not help to take the attention away from what the article is about. Perhaps Arafat was dishonest, who knows, but that does not mean the over 1.8 million Palestinians must be punished for what he did. Besides, haven't "distinguished" leaders like Olmert, Lieberman, and even the upright Bibi Netanyahu been investigated for various irregularities, bribe taking, corruption, free trips, and other bad habits? Olmert is now looking at jail time. Yeah, Israel has it's share of scoundrels too, but no one suggests it's citizens pay the price.

    • Not built eh? But what kind of good faith, and eagerness, to achieve peace, did the occupier display when it blatantly kept announcing thousands of "future" illegal settlements in stolen lands? I doubt the Palestinians felt convinced enough that Israel was ready to allow to let go the status quo, they keep stubbornly clinging to.

    • There is some part in the brains of these zionists, that seem to be blank when it comes to Israel. Strange they are able to blame everything, including failure of peace initiatives by the US, on those who really have not much leverage, and choice, in this matter, and who suffer under the brutal occupying powers, yet are so obviously blind to the continued crimes by the occupier, against these victims, including the crime of land theft and illegal settlements. It seems the blatant announcements of thousands of illegal settlements DURING peace talks, detrimental to those peace talks, does not matter, or did not happen. Israel kept shifting the goal post many times, irritating even the Obama administration, and here you are yet another zionist spewing BS, and blaming the "Arabs"….as if the Jews are blameless. Right now John Kerry is getting attacked by the guard dogs in Congress and media, obviously unleashed by Israel's vicious lobbies.

  • Kerry's cowardly apology on 'apartheid' is giant blunder for Israel's propagandists
    • I agree. It would be nice and refreshing to find out from the victims of Israel's apartheid policies, whether or not they think they are under apartheid policies.
In the US zionist media, it is ALL one sided reporting, perspective, and narrative.

    • Once again Boxer, who shamelessly pushed for Israelis to enter the US with special visas, which was even frowned on by our State Department, shows her undying loyalty and meaningless devotion to Israel, by not only going against her own President and administration, but claiming that the only occupying military power for decades, that is under her arrogant nose been stealing land, demolishing homes, and stealing resources from the victims of the occupation, is "democratic".
AIPAC must have her in the palm of their hands.

    • You are right, John Kerry showing regret (not apologizing) for using a word the entire world knows describes Israel's policies, will not stop the rest of the world using it in appropriate ways. Israel is a brutal occupier, a land grabber, breaking international laws, and inflicts suffering on helpless occupied people, who were there before the UN placed the aggressor in their territories. Now we can add apartheid nation to the long list of negatives too.

  • Kerry says that Israel could wind up being 'an apartheid state'
    • No hope that the US zionist media will use it, but the rest of the world will now get bolder, and the word apartheid will now relate to that brutal occupier, Israel.
      Well deserved I say.

    • It is like a flash in the pan, 24 hours later he apologizes for using the Apartheid word. Shame, that we are in the palms of zionists hands.

    • You are lucky to have journalists brave enough to write so honestly, when it comes to Israel. It would be hard to find a brave, honest journalist in the US, write this way in any zionist controlled media. Even our leaders dare not criticize Israel. Today our Secretary of State apologized for using the A word. We seem to be afraid of Israeli lobbies, and facing the wrath of Israel in our side of the pond.

    • Well it look like AIPAC and other lobbies were busy yesterday making those calls, asking for an apology. They control our leaders and we know it.
It is too late the A word is out there, and more will use it.

    • I do think he has irked them to a large extent. An article in Haaretz states that Kerry's use of the A word means it is here to stay:

Israel has shown no cooperation with the US, and has disrespected the President and the Secretary of State, despite their efforts to bring peace to the region. Israel has consistently demanded more and more at every opportunity, and keeps blaming the other side for the failure of these talks, I do not blame John Kerry and our officials for being frustrated with the situation.

    • Thanks Kathleen, I was thinking about doing that too.

    • Here is an old but interesting article from Jewish Press. John Kerry tells senators (Israel's servants) to "stop listening to the Israelis on this" regarding the Iran issue. They were appalled. Go John Kerry.

    • Things are changing fast folks, Haaretz reports:

"White House: Hamas-Fatah reconciliation 'isn’t necessarily a bad thing'
In closed briefing, presidential adviser Philip Gordon tells Jewish leaders that while timing of deal was 'unhelpful' it was hard to see how peace could be reached with only 'half a Palestinian entity.'

Looks like Israel may begin to lose some of that American support….they are furious at John Kerry's statement too. Must be hard to realize your grip and control of the US might be slipping at this point. They have also lost the EU as of yesterday on this issue.

  • NBA owner Sterling reportedly sought to justify his racism by citing Israeli racism
    • Sorry I should have made it clear, I meant the zionist media of America. :))

    • Wow, Israel displays it's arrogance yet again. To think this alien nation thinks it is entitled to deem what a "mess" is, relating to our Secretary of State, and the arrogance of calling for him to "step down". Who the heck do they think they are, to decide who must step down and who should be or not be, nominated (like Chuck Hagel), and worse call for President Obama to fire him? I have yet to hear or see any US leader, including our Presidents, decide which Israeli official should step down (and we know many should, including Bibi). Is this the "we control America, and they know it" part we have heard so much about? Israeli minions bluster and dish out so much, but they are like weaklings, when they hear home truths.

    • All true. I am sure everyone has noticed that no one in the zionist media, has dared to discuss that aspect of his remarks. Now if this was say Iran, and some racist said they treat black people like dogs over there, you can just imagine the zionist media making such ado about it. Now that it is their motherland, not a peep about the connection to Israel, and the ugly implications of what goes there. What else can we expect of our so called "free" media?

    • If Blacks are treated like dogs in Israel, outside Israel the Palestinian Arabs are treated even worse than that. They are killed for standing near a fence, at checkpoints, and precision bombs are sent into their homes. It is in the zionist psyche to be a racist, and arrogantly think they superior to all others. It seems eerily similar to the thinking of a group of Germans, who were responsible for the massacre of innocent people, because of who they were.

    • Here is an interesting excerpt from Wikipedia on this racist pig:

"In August 2006, the U.S. Department of Justice sued Sterling for housing discrimination in using race as a factor in filling some of his apartment buildings. The suit charged that Sterling refused to rent to non-Koreans in the Koreatown neighborhood and to African Americans in Beverly Hills.[12] The suit alleges Sterling once said he did not like to rent to Hispanics because they "smoke, drink and just hang around the building," and that "Black tenants smell and attract vermin."[12] In November 2009, ESPN reported that Sterling agreed to pay a fine of $2.73 million to settle claims brought by the Justice Department and Davin Day of Newport Beach that he engaged in discriminatory rental practices against Hispanics, blacks, and families with children.[13]In addition, Sterling was also ordered to pay attorneys' fees and costs in that action of $4,923,554.75. [Order Granting Motion for Prevailing Party's Attorneys' Fees and Costs, dated November 2, 2005, C.D. Cal. Case No. 2:03-cv-00859-DSF-E Dkt No. 454]. In granting the attorney's fees and costs Judge Dale S. Fischer noted "Sterling's' scorched earth' litigation tactics, some of which are described by the Plaintiffs' counsel and some of which were observed by the Court. The Court has no difficulty accepting Plaintiffs' counsel's representations that the time required to be spent on this case was increased by defendant's counsel's often unacceptable, and sometimes outrageous conduct." [Id. at p. 5]

In February 2009, Sterling was sued by former longtime Clippers executive Elgin Baylor for employment discrimination on the basis of age and race.[14] The lawsuit alleges Sterling told Baylor that he wanted to fill his team with "poor black boys from the South and a white head coach".[12] The suit alleges that during negotiations for Danny Manning, Sterling said "I'm offering a lot of money for a poor black kid."[12][15] The suit noted those comments while alleging "the Caucasian head coach was given a four-year, $22-million contract", but Baylor's salary had "been frozen at a comparatively paltry $350,000 since 2003".
He says it is his culture and upbringing that makes him like that.
Haaretz headlines are "New tape: NBA owner Sterling told girlfriend, 'In Israel, blacks are treated like dogs'. Culture and upbringing eh?

  • As Israel 'staggers toward the abyss,' criticizing it is now 'the most fashionable cause' on the left
    • I agree. John Kerry speaks of the future, when Israel has been recognized already of being an apartheid nation, by those who have experienced it, and recognizes it as one. I guess Kerry must toe the line, and continue the pretense, so that unwavering support and aid can keep flowing to that apartheid state. John Kerry had better duck down now, because those who control our foreign policies and this nation, will howl with false outrage, and make him take it all back, and most probably he will.
As usual the zionist media is quiet about this one too. If you google John Kerry warns Israel will become an apartheid state, most of the articles that come up are from international media, even from the Israeli press. You will not find any of the major US zionist media touching this. This from the Telegraph UK:
"It is not the first time Mr Kerry has made remarks that Israeli officials considered to be provocative. He was accused of paying lip-service to anti-Semitism when he warned in February of the dangers of a delegitimisation campaign that included calls for an economic boycott of Israel.
Last November, Israeli officials hit out angrily after he referred to the dangers of a third Palestinian intifada [uprising] in the absence of a peace agreement."
      That says it all.

    • Well what do you know, John Kerry warns Israel could become an apartheid state, if it does not agree to a peace settlement. It seems some zionist are angry at that wording.
      Truth hurts.
