  • Arab reporters come under attack from Israelis
    • So only white people are Jewish? You sure about that?

    • It's considered weak to be considerate, polite, you know, show you weren't raised by wild boars. America is coveted but americans are humiliated and considered weak. Here's hoping the airport is closed for a good while. This is the time of year that israelis (lot of americans) are trying to escape the terrible heat and get to cooler climes - tough bounce zios, play in your own yard.

    • I guess the next thing will be that israel will also not be responsible for journalists being attacked by civilians. I didn't get the memo that all of us are in the IDF.

Horrible troll attacking this reporter while being filmed! They believe they can do whatever they want to whomever they want and will be untouchable. I hope the UN will soon debate not if israeli should be punished but how severely (hit them monetarily, hard) and then kicked out of the UN. Not that I think the UN is so great but I think the stigma would be.

  • 'Telegenically Dead': Israel’s crumbling media war
    • When you don't have a red heifer you have to settle for your sons and daughters (in reference to "sacrifice" in the story). The way he talked about Hamas wanting dead civilians I couldn't help but think he's just saying what's on his own mind (we need dead soldiers to get sympathy). This is nothing but evil, pure, unadulturated evil.

I met another american some years back working with new arrivals (idiots like myself) and she told me that she did a lot of writing, "I write positive stories about Israel". I didn't understand how difficult a job that was then, but imagine it is 'pert near impossible now, if she still attempts it.

Good night all and God bless and protect the Palestinian people.

    • "Some are shamelessly accusing Israel of genocide and would put us in the dock for war crimes. But the truth is that the Israeli Defence Forces should be given the Nobel Peace Prize… a Nobel Peace Prize for fighting with unimaginable restraint.“ Herr Dermer

Which begs the question, what could they possibly be holding back?

    • "The prolonged siege on Gaza in the aftermath of the withdrawal of troops and settlers, and the election of Hamas and the coup is a shame on Israel and on Egypt and on the United States and on Hamas and on Fatah." I feel the same way about the election of Netanyahu. But it was a "democratic election" so am stuck with it. Next -

"Ideally there would be a flow of people and goods into and out of Gaza, but at the very least there must be a flow of goods into and out of Gaza and an end to the siege from the sea and from the border of Egypt. If this requires some sort of international police force in Gaza, that is what I favor."

What people "flowing" in and out of Gaza - IDF kind of people - border patrol/settler types with an axe to grind? Carpetbaggers from Sderot, Hebron, Jerusalem, etc.?

International police force sounds good - for Jerusalem too - it should under the jurisdiction of an international body because the locals need to be supervised.

    • Who would have thought it would come to this? I don't like the sound of it because it doesn't accept any responsibility. I'm at the point where I'm completely through with so much stuff prefaced by Jews, Muslims, Christians, Hindus, Atheists, what the fuck ever. Lets trying being Humanity Against Genocide - maybe that will attract all of humanity? Also, you can't be part of the solution if you're part of the problem. And, would us Jews get in the back of the line on this and not be a distraction, but GET IN THE DAMN LINE!

  • Netanyahu's latest 'cartoon evidence': racist image identifying Muslims with terror
    • I think the baby is a terrorist in waiting and therefore is a legitimate target?

From the flapping orifice of Ayelet Shaked "Behind every terrorist stand dozens of men and women, without whom he could not engage in terrorism. They are all enemy combatants, and their blood shall be on all their heads. Now this also includes the mothers of the martyrs, who send them to hell with flowers and kisses. They should follow their sons, nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raised the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there."

"They have to die and their houses should be demolished so that they cannot bear any more terrorists," said Shaked. Standing behind the operations on Gaza, "they are all our enemies and their blood should be on our hands. This also applies to the mothers of the dead terrorists," Shaked added.
      Female MK, Ayelet Shaked

This from the mouth of an MK in the "only democracy in the ME". I think of her everytime I hear or read "IDF doesn't target civilians" or Bibi's little speech about how sad it makes him to see dead Palestinian children.

She appears to be in love with herself, maybe the pinup girl for the IDF. What a crazy biotch.

    • I'm not a war monger and I'm not an expert on this place, but I've seen and experienced things here I never was prepared for - pretty dumb, huh? I hope that judgment comes quickly to the state of Israel and the suffering of the Palestinians will be over. I can't imagine how they feel, knowing that we see what is happening to them and haven't lifted a finger. What betrayal! I can't understand how Slick Willie" Clinton let the Hutus get massacred in 1994, then went on an apology road show later on with the never again shit and now, when his voice could make a difference, he chooses to side with the criminals -again? It's bad enough to do that once in your life but twice?

    • It's said they don't want to reoccupy Gaza. They will leave it a huge cemetary if they aren't stopped. I pray every night for God to end this. I can't believe the world is witness to this horror and chants the mantra "israel has a right to defend itself". The Palestinians have no rights? Have they been so marginalized by their own weak leadership that they get kicked to the curb every time and netanyahu and criminal consorts smirk and talk about doing more and more damage? Dr. Ashwari is a treasure, always so controlled and thoughtful in the face of this ongoing wickedness. The evil is palpable.

    • Great point, but I think they expect them to make do while they make hay after taking a good piece off the top of that 3 billion. Also, this remark might have been a subtle way of telling the US Congress to pony up more dough.

    • What would be helpful would be if we'd all start referring to ourselves as human beings instead of by tribal affiliation - can't we go by what we are first and foremost? Also, personally very tired of every good deed or thought prefaced by jewish, as if jews are the only ones capable of such things. Jews don't have the market on intelligence, good deeds, or especially suffering, and to be fair and balanced, they don't have the market on brutality (but some are trying very hard to change that status).

    • You are correct sir! Now be a good boy and go away.

    • That doesn't make it right, does it?

    • Please refrain from the "In Judaism" bit, as if belief in God is part of the state of israel. I haven't seen any evidence of God consciousness or righteousness, but a whole lot of lip service.

    • Revenge is behind a lot of cruelty and death. They like to say that the Palestinians have a culture of death. I'll tell you that almost daily there is something about Hitler, WWII, concentration camps, etc., on the israeli history channel. On the holiday where they remember the fallen soldiers, they list them by name. They are useful idiots, the soldiers and are used as idols whenever the need arises. They aren't treated that well, I think because there is an endless supply of them and all israeli kids leave highschool and go straight to the army (with few exceptions). To refuse to do service isn't that big of a deal, its not like you're thrown in prison for years and years (I think its only months?), but the stigma in this culture of the warrior is a bigger. My daughter's high school teacher had told the class that people who refused to serve in the army or people that wanted peace were dangerous to society! That's democracy in this part of the world. I'm not trying to get sympathy for the soldiers by any stretch of the imagination, but this apartheid is poison for everyone in this region; it's deadly for the Palestinians and it's deadly for israeli's except the death is spiritual.

  • Palestinians celebrate report that Hamas captured Israeli soldier
    • oldgeezer - from Wikipedia "Sderot was founded in 1951 as a transit camp for Kurdish and Persian Jewish immigrants, who lived in tents and shacks during the Jewish exodus from Muslim countries before permanent housing was completed in 1954.[6] It was built on lands belonging to the Palestinian Arab village of Najd[7] and is located a few miles south of the village's ruins. On 13 May 1948, Najd was occupied by the Negev Brigade as part of Operation Barak, and the villagers were driven out[8] to Gaza. In 1956, Sderot was recognized as a local council.[9]"

You were right of course - almost every town was something before.

    • Even to children. If only it weren't true.

    • Israel has a just society (as in just you wait - I'll get my revenge). It's going down the tubes, and that would be just.

    • Dabakr "Don’t kid yourself that Shalit wasn’t tortured. And he wasn’t in any kind of a prison like the Israeli jails with internet, cable, mosques and college where the prisoners were exchanged from"

Israel routinely tortures as does their idol, the US. In israel you don't even have to be a combatant, all that's required is a certain hue (brown) and the right non-jewish name and presto chango you're going to the show!

  • Look at Netanyahu's 'evidence' that civilians are harboring rockets in Gaza
    • What's worse is that the rest of the world isn't demanding any proof and is apparently satisfied with cartoons. The WDM war cry for invading Iraq, which turned out to be an absolute false flag, has already been forgotten? What is being put in everyone's drinking water? Soma?

    • No you're dead wrong. UNFORTUNATELY, Israel doesn't rely on "world public opinion". If they did, there might actually be peace in this region. So I think israel does not rely on world opinion because they don't want peace, only piece - a piece of this, a piece of that and if Palestinians die in the process, we'll rub the holocaust in your face, even though you weren't even born when it happened and agree that it was a terrible crime against humanity. The holocaust is not a rubber stamp for the actions of the so-called government of the "state" of israel! Zionism is straight out criminality.

    • Standard practice in time of war, to resort to cartoons when you don't have proof.

And people will exclaim this is true because "there's a picture of it"!
      Sick.

  • 'Washington Post' exhibits naked double standard in Israeli, Palestinian deaths (and injuries)
  • Hamas wants to pile up 'telegenically-dead Palestinians for their cause' -- Netanyahu, on television
    • Thanks for pointing what should have been obvious! This is war, not an afternoon frolic. It was the same with Shalit too - he was a POW, a captured enemy combatant. Amazing how language has been kidnapped by the "evil doers" (can you say beebee?). George Orwell must have had a crystal ball.

    • I sure hope it stops at the ring.

    • I think that's about the sickest thing that SOB has said so far, I'm sure there will be more unless he chokes on one of his lies and suffocates. Why didn't they cut his mic? He's nobody, he's a rotten piece of human waste with that awful smirk on his face how could anyone let him speak? I think what he described is probably what he'd like to do himself because I don't believe he or his cabinet or any of the criminals in the knesset gives a good damn about anything but themselves and their bank accounts. Dear God make it stop!

Israel ‘Planning Next Steps' to Avoid Disaster, Bennett Says

Bennett warns that alternative to ground operation was ‘an Israeli 9/11.’

      Ground offensive in Gaza
      IDF/Flash 90
Israel’s ongoing defensive operation in Gaza, Operation Protective Edge, is critical to civilian safety, Minister Naftali Bennett said Sunday.

“The operation is vital, and it is progressing as we planned,” Bennett told Galei Tzahal (Army Radio).

The IDF has uncovered dozens of terrorist tunnels in northern Gaza. Several tunnels led far into Israel. One was used Saturday to attack soldiers in the Negev, killing two.

The operation’s necessity “goes beyond just the matter of tunnels,” Bennett noted.

“We’re definitely planning the next steps. If it weren’t for the ground operation, we would have woken up one day to an Israeli 9/11,” he warned.

“We’re paying a heavy price, and we will continue to pay a price, but we are preventing very serious attacks on innocent Israeli civilians,” he stated.

Coalition head MK Yariv Levin (Likud) made similar statements Sunday morning. "Israel ignored a 'terror fortress' in Gaza that could have led to terrorist attacks with unprecedented civilian casualties," he stated.

“The current operation is a war of necessity, there were no other options,” he said. “The brave soldiers fighting in Gaza are fighting in an operation that is vital to the security of Israel’s citizens.”

“We’re paying a heavy price, and we will continue to pay a price, but we are preventing very serious attacks on innocent Israeli civilians,” he stated.

The only suffering going on is in Gaza. What heavy price is he talking about?

  • Israel warns media they are at risk of 'injury or death' because Hamas ‘exploits journalists as human shields’
    • Suffering ensures the money keeps rolling in, it serves a purpose, it keeps everyone all the players in place playing their parts. If there was actual peace in this region, real peace, the place would fall apart. There's no profit in peace, none whatsoever. This is my opinion what I think is the truth here, there is no desire for peace by the israeli government, individual citizens maybe, but not the government. There's too much to lose if there isn't a constant crisis. I don't believe anyone in the government when they speak of peace, because when they do, they start wars.

    • 5 million israelis in bomb shelters? Well that sucks! Never would have guessed that it was possible to squeeze 5 million israelis (some of whom are supersized, like me) into them, but especially didn't realize there were enough, as 2 short years ago there apparently weren't enough bomb shelters for the citizenry and many were in disrepair! Also the malls and grocery stores have plenty of shoppers. I'm no Einstein (duh) but I think this "warning" is actually a threat to all you journalists out there reporting what you see, without zionizing it first (like bleach, only 100x more toxic). Please be careful as we are all counting on your truth - God bless you all -

  • Gaza City resident Amal Sarsour: 'There is no place to go, death is around us all the time'
    • I started to watch Bill Maher for the first 18 seconds where apparently the pain and agony of trying to appear human was just too much and he went into attack mode. Yes it's all very sad, nobody wants to see children get killed, etc., etc., yet we still see it Mr. Bill, day after day after day and you still think Israel has the moral high ground here because the israelis have to interrupt their favorite program and shag their asses to a bomb shelter? WTF?

    • Maybe americans are a lot more stupid than I give them credit for. They can't see the forest for the sleaze. Well, karma (not khamas) is a bitch and I'd hate to see my friends and family knee deep in debris. Some people are able to empathize and have compassion even without actually experiencing the physical pain and anguish of others; however, many of us out there are very slow learners and have to feel the pain first. What a fucked up world.

Finally, she claims to know nothing about the subject: “I’m sure we can connect you with an expert on this particular issue, Said.”

Maybe that would be the same expert that was trying to answer the question whether the Hutus murdering the Tutsis during what is now called the Rwandan genocide?

    • That's not the point of this discussion. It's more helpful to stick with the topic at hand which is Israel/Palestine and not Turkey.

  • On the defensive, Barney Frank accuses Clemons and Kornacki of ganging up on him, and Israel
    • Frank sounds like the southerner who, standing on the porch of his plantation with one of many sharecroppers, tells a report that "We didn't have no trouble down he'yah until all y'all northren agitators came down to our peaceful town to stir up trouble. Our negroes are happy and content, aren't they boy?" Because he already knows the outcome and fears for the lives of his children, this poor man will nod and say yessuh. Mr. Frank talks about the West Bank like it's Malibu. How much he is being paid (or blackmailed?) to keep telling the lie?

      Completely agree.

Meanwhile, local news in Israel eulogizing the 2 israeli soldiers "killed by Hamas." It rings a bit hollow compared to the 300+ Palestinians murdered.

  • Israeli police ransack Tariq Abu Khdeir family home and arrest relatives in apparent revenge raid
    • When I first saw this headline, I thought it was the US Abu Khdeir's home had been ransacked by police. The way the US has been kissing the Israeli death machine's giant ass, and the fact that israelis have been in the US to give police departments some pointers, it seemed so real to me. I don't put anything past them and no one else should either. The fact they appear have carte blanche when it comes to wickedness confirms in my mind who they serve. Like a blah chic said so well "just when you think that they couldn’t sink any lower they manage to find another sub basement".

    • Do you live here too - you've nailed it, unfortunately.

    • As awful as this is I'm not surprised at all. I've lived here for 13 years and hate what I see and hear. It is frightening; but there has got to be a way to do something. There are so many angry people here, screaming and yelling is the way most of them communicate. They have done an excellent job indoctrinating the masses with this madness and I feel so sad.

  • And now a word from our Democratic Party standard bearer
  • First night of Israeli ground operations kills 27 Palestinians; Ambulances come under fire attempting to retrieve the injured
    • That mother is so brave, what courage but what sense would it make to have a cease fire as much smarter people have said. Why go back to the status quo? Palestinians are killed every day, with or without an actual war. I can't imagine their suffering and hardship and my prayers are for them.

    • Obama alway says Israel doesn't have to accept Palestinian rockets into Israel. But he must think Palestinians have to accept israeli missiles, tanks and troups into their livingrooms because there is no justice for them from uncle sam.

    • Why don't more people see it like this? It's like the whole world has been lobotomized.

    • "It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine" - unofficial anthem of the white house/congress.

  • 'We are moving from Iron Dome to an iron fist': Israel launches ground invasion of Gaza
    • There are consequences for their actions. The israelis will reap what they have sown. This echo chamber of palestinian haters will not change a thing. My only wish is that Tzahal gets it's collective ass kicked.

Can't you see you're on the wrong side? Is it some sick fantasy of some of you to do a nazi number on a helpless population, because that's what happened to your ancestors? I would wager anything, that your ancestors would hang their heads in shame over the last 60+ years. I pity you for what awaits your soul. I pity the palestinians for the souless monsters who are in their midst.

    • My wish is that your wish is not granted, not ever. By terrorist you mean palestinian because they're the same right? Can you even distinguish right from wrong. Tzahal can go to hell.

    • But The Independent (UK) reported that Israeli officials told them the “first step would be ‘surgical’ incursions into Gaza and then an operation to divide the Strip into three to prevent movement between the areas,” a strategy Israel employed during the Cast Lead invasion . Al Jazeera’s Gregg Carlstrom reports that “columns” of Israeli tanks have entered Gaza." That makes my blood run cold.

“We are moving from Iron Dome to an iron fist,” Naftali Bennett, the economy minister, said earlier today, Reuters reported." And he makes me sick. I would love to see him and his party on the front lines. Iron fist doesn't sound much like "surgical" precision to me. The only side using surgical precision are Hamas, with one israel killed. I'm not praying for great numbers of israeli casualties, I'm just so sick of the bravado and foolishness of the israeli government. You've got all the weapons and still whine and scream about being "under attack". I've never seen such an uneven field of battle. How can these soldiers go in there knowing damn well they are following the orders of a morally bankrupt nation? How will you explain this to your children and grandchildren, if you live to have them?

  • I have never been more conscious of my womanhood than right now in Jerusalem
    • Leeanne -
This is all so familiar. The southern man's biggest fear was losing his woman to the african american (I think a lot still have this irrational fear and/or feelings of inferiority sexually). Most of the lynchings in america from the end of the civil war to the 30's and 40's were based on the oft used "rape" (there were maybe zero) and "dishonor" (didn't avert eyes fast enough) of the white female. In the civil rights era, with some southern white women and northern white women joining the movement, they were called "nigger lover" and they only wanted to fuck African American men, they were "race traitors" and the like. These israeli men you describe sound very insecure, stupid and violent and that is a very, very dangerous mix. The notion that as a female your body belongs to the "state" isn't a new one. Hitler wanted the german maidens to become impregnated by the best of the aryan youth; I don't know what this program was called, but the message is very clear, if you have a uterus, it belongs to us, not some filthy (arab, african american, jew, indian, mexican.......).
'But even as my voice wavers, still I speak. And write. I have too many stories to share".
Looking forward to more of your writing -

  • Legitimacy crisis: Netanyahu acknowledges Israeli assault lacked legitimacy
    • I look forward to his trial as a war criminal and subsequent life sentence, but he'll have good company with the rest of likud, the israel home party and other assorted fruits and nuts.

  • To my fellow American Jews
    • I agree. Judaism and Israel are not joined at the hip. Judaism is about God and all of humanity (to me) and Israel is real estate, period. Love of God and to love thy neighbor as thyself, do unto others, etc., is the prime directive (my opinion). The rest is politics.

  • Jet Blue incident shifts from anti-Semitic story to anti-Palestinian one
    • "Do you never cease trying to build mountains out of molehills? This is one crazy lady who decided to shout abuse at a Palestinian person. She’s not reflective of the Jewish community in any meaningful way. That you would suggest otherwise is obscene."

Actually, this is meaningful and really embarassing! This is a "false flag" maneuver isn't it - suggesting the other passenger had a bomb and would blow up the plane? Trying to get closer to this supposedly dangerous passenger, to do what, harm her in some way? Why would anyone go to such lengths if they weren't the foot soldiers of Israel or AIPAC; she's done what a good soldier would do. You should question the motives of this horrible woman instead of the reactions of people of conscience to her nasty ass. I hope her picture and this story gets all over Queens (and the rest of the world too!)

  • NBC reportedly orders Mohyeldin to leave Gaza -- after he criticized State Dep't
    • There is an understanding that you never, ever, ever apologize. That's part of the "culture". If you catch them red handed (literally, blood all over their hands), the most you'll get is "It's a mistake." Never the words "I'm sorry". If you say you are sorry, you acknowledge a problem, you've done something wrong. Then you have to do something about it, which is a big problem because they're not really that into you and they just aren't about that. Everyone else (goyim) must apologize and grovel, beg for forgiveness and express great love and admiration. Go ahead and call me hateful, antisemitic, whatever. I'm not going to say I love the aroma when all I can smell is shit.

    • Regev mentions at about 1:11 the "difficult combat situation in Gaza". Ya, it's got to be absolute hell getting into a combat with gradeschool kids. He's such a lousy prick this guy, looking sideways, not directly at the person he's talking to and always Hamas this, Hamas that, difficult situation, yes we value the Red Cross (as long as they play ball with us, otherwise fuck 'em), difficult situation, Hamas, terrorists, israeli's in danger, bomb shelters.........
I love this man interviewing him, will not back down and calls him on bullshit immediately. Then we have the american journalists who were all born without spines apparently. Can someone tell me what they're so afraid of that they can't properly question these criminals?

    • I blame the US and UN mostly. I really don't get what they're afraid of. Israel is a teeny little country telling the US what to do and where to go. I hope these photos are plastered all over the media all the time. I think though that God has hardened the hearts of the new pharoahs (the West, Netanyahu); they won't listen to reason but will they be able to survive the consequences of that.

  • Israeli strike kills four Palestinian children playing soccer on Gaza beach
    • I'm a mother and I'm sick. How many times has this happened? After watching the video of the beautiful New Yorkers shouting down the lunatic friends of israel and now seeing this? The US and the UN created this monster (state of israel, if I'm not clear enough); it's time to pull the plug and remove all life support from this abomination.

  • Rachel Maddow ignores the story in Israel/Palestine
    • I have been very disappointed by her, I thought she had integrity. I watch to see what her top story is going to be and if it isn't Gaza then I cut it off. Thankfully Chris Hayes has shown he isn't completely unaware of the news coming out of Gaza/Israel and had a segment about the 4 boys killed while playing on the beach yesterday, which gave me a glimmer of hope, which was pretty much extinguished by the time they got to what was Washington's response to the latest massacre which sounded basically if Hamas had accepted agreements to the ceasefire, this wouldn't have happened, blah, blah, freaking blah.

  • Watch: New Yorkers pierce through pro-war gathering with chants of 'stop bombing Gaza now'
    • "Standing with israel also means with standing with peace." Standing with peace? Peace must mean endless war, death, carnage, land theft, kidnapping, murder, etc. What was Charlie Rangel doing with the bad guys? Resistance is justified when people are occupied!

  • Report: Hamas offers Israel 10 conditions for a 10 year truce
    • That was hysterical! I can't stand that pompous prick and it was great watching him squirm, with or without the subtitles! Thank you -

    • Shouldn't there be the quid pro quo demand that Israel "recognize" Hamas and their right to exist? Bravo for taking the higher road - Bravo!

  • Violence outside Paris synagogue falsely attributed to anti-Semitism (Updated)
    • Could you explain what an antisemite is, because it sounds more and more like an antisemite is anyone who disagrees with jews, zionism and/or the state of israel. It's pathetic the way it's being used to divert whatever is unpleasant to jews so as to cause a distraction and work on guilt or create guilt or whatever feelings of discomfort in the party that has caused said jews unpleasantness. Must be really wonderful to have a magic word to throw around every fucking time you don't get your way. There is the very real possibility; however, that a genuine case of antisemitism is missed because of all the phony accusations being thrown around. So antisemitism kind of means "you don't love me/like me/worship me/kiss my ass/do what I say/follow me blindly/hate who I hate" and zionism means never having to say your sorry.

  • Hamas has agreed to a ceasefire, says senior Palestinian official (Updated)
    • WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. Congress is showing tangible support for longtime ally Israel as Gaza militants fire rockets, backing a measure that would double the amount of money for Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system.

The Senate Appropriations defense subcommittee approved a defense spending bill on Tuesday that would provide $621.6 million for Israeli missile defense, including $351 million for the Iron Dome system that intercepts short-range rockets and mortars. In the latest hostilities between Israel and Hamas, Iron Dome has been successful in shooting down rockets and preventing Israeli deaths.

      ....

Overall, the defense bill would provide $549.3 billion for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1. The bill spares several of the weapons programs that the Pentagon had proposed scaling back or eliminating, including the A-10 Warthog, the close air support aircraft and the USS George Washington aircraft carrier.

Enough! Americans need to brush up on French history, specifically the French revolution, and put an end to this madness! What are these whores in Washington getting in return for their treason? How much money, what kind of drug or how good is the pussy that would make these "elected" representatives of the people sell out the very people they are there to serve? Hell is going to be so crowded...............

  • On the photo of three Gaza brothers whose parents were killed by an Israeli bombing
    • I think the "never again" bit only means never again to us - to the rest of y'all, who aren't quite so chosen, not so special, do not have a "soul", eh, not so much.

Where are these boys going to be in 5 or 10 years? Who is going to take care of them? I am so sorry for their loss. Their lives have been destroyed, but they know full well who is responsible. And the cry will be heard "Why do they hate us?" Look at this picture, one of thousands, and you'll have your answer.

  • Not In Our Name: The Jewish duty to stand with the people of Gaza
    • Also for #2 - israeli's have also made idols of themselves, they are without blemish (ya right) and a (b)light among the nations.

    • Yes, because it was hamas all along, kidnapping those guys and all and then forcing us to kill them because they have WMDs (weapons of mediocre damage) and all we have are F-16s, iron domes, WMDs (weapons of mass destruction) and a hungry public cheering us on and probably, when the dust has finally settled, absolutely no consequences to pay for our murdering rampage. I hope and pray for Palestine that they will see justice for this unforgiveable wrong.

    • You mean principles like these?

From the New York Times (yesterday I believe)
Last Wednesday night, as he stood on a hilltop outside the Israeli town of Sderot and watched the bombardment of Gaza on the plain below, a Danish newspaper reporter snapped an iPhone photo of about a dozen locals who cheered on their military from plastic chairs while eating popcorn.

Allan Sørensen, a veteran Middle East correspondent for Denmark’s Kristeligt Dagblad, then uploaded the image to Twitter with a sardonic caption that described the macabre scene as “Sderot cinema.”

    • What jewish principles could you possibly have in mind?

    • You expect they should do nothing? No, wait, they're just supposed to go away (read "die"). Funny how these so-called non-existent palestinians become very real when they fight back. It's not even a fight really, Gaza is a shooting gallery, for israel to test their new toys courtesy of U.S. You should feel shame and dishonor for this cold-blooded murder being carried out in your name. But if you can't do that, you can pick apart someone who may or may not be the biblical scholar you must believe yourself to be.
"Forasmuch therefore as your treading is upon the poor, and ye taken from him burdens of wheat: ye have built houses of hewn stone, but ye shall not dwell in them, ye have planted pleasant vineyards, but ye shall not drink wine of them. For I know your manifold transgressions and your mighty sins: they afflict the just, they take a bribe, and they turn aside the poor in the gate from their right." Amos 5:11-12

"I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. Though ye offer me burnt-offerings and your meat-offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace-offerings of your fat beasts. Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.
But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream."
      Amos 21-25

  • Federal official fires gun at pro-Palestine demonstrators following scuffle in LA
    • There's always a lot of drama from both sides. I think about the conference where naftali bennett got up to speak and was booed and called a murderer, then was bumped by someone to which he snarled "who hit me?" He's a racist bully then cries "who hit me?" These zionazzis love to bully and provoke anyone who they even think isn't with them. Kind of like the original nazis, the KKK, etc.,.....

  • Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder says Israel is using our taxes to 'drop bombs on children' and take land
    • Thanks for commenting regarding the title. I hesitated to say anything at all about it, for fear that it would be a dog whistle to the zionists to get into attack formation and I see that has happened. It would have with or without me, but I don't like it all the same. All I was stating was about the accuracy and yes, it was very clear who Eddie Vedder was talking about and what I can conclude from the backlash it has received is the truth hurts, huh? Well, the truth will also set you free and the israelis are definitely "enslaved" by the falsehood of their existence in this land, who the land "belongs" to and their so-called "chosenness". I converted to judaism years ago and what is called judaism in israel and what I understand from my learning and reading are not the same thing. Zionism is a disease, an all-consuming cancer ravaging the souls of its host. The cure is going to be very painful for some, but will rid the world of this horror.
I've been reading Mondoweiss for a while now and am humbled by many of the good people here. I'm not on a par with the majority of you, but want to learn as much as I can and make a comment now and then. Thanks for the opportunity to do that.

    • I'm not trying to be a jerk, but it's a mistake here to call this "Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder says Israel is using our taxes to ‘drop bombs on children’ and take land" when he clearly did not specify Israel at all on this video. But everyone assumes (I think) that he's talking about Israel, including the idiots that got onto his Facebook whining about him saying "Israel". He didn't. Isn't that called projection or transference? I can't get over the fact that the israeli's are continuing to take the stand of the victim here instead of the perp. I only would hope that more and more people, especially in the mainstream news agencies, in Washington, etc., would come right out and say what so many already know. I'm sick and tired of the freakshow that is the state of israel.
