  • Jews are safer in Israel than U.S. because our kids drop their M-16s on the sofa -- NYT op-ed
  • Charlottesville is moment of truth for empowered U.S. Zionists (who name their children after Israeli generals)
    • @jon s /annie

A terrible article jon. Annie has nailed it on the head. That was the substance of spencer's remarks and Rosenberg totally ignores it.

There's no way he could have missed the import of what was said. The supremacist desire is the same on both sides. All of those ideologies grew out of the same period when racism was not just commonplace but the norm. Zionism should have been put into the dustbin of history along with the rest.

    • Yes it is still a war crime. Hague Conventions 1899.

  • The Israeli right can't condemn Charlottesville because its whispered policy is, Nakba
    • A million! The figure keeps growing all the time. When the fictional zionist propaganda mill first started this silly claim it was almost as many Jewish people as Palestinians. Now you have them beat.

For the most part it's pure fiction. Absolute b/s. To the extent it is true, and it was true for a much smaller number than you claim, then the state of Israel should be attempting to get reparations on your behalf. Don't expect to see a dime of course as it will be consumed by the state and not those entitled to it as they did with Holocaust reparations.

It has nothing, zip, zilch, nada to do with the reparations that Palestinians are owed plus the additional monies they are owed for the 50+ years of oppression and suppresing their economy.

You aren't a victim. Wipe away your crocodile tears and remove your boots from the necks of Palestinians.

  • Israel would use nuclear weapons to keep refugees from returning -- Noam Chomsky
    • @catalan

After mommy changes your depends, take a deep breath, there is not, nor has there ever been, a call or proposal to return 7 million Palestinians to Israel. Get Israelis back inside Israel's borders and you will be just fine. Yes it does climb to 7 million when Israel covets and attempts to steal land that is not theirs. I am sure they find it difficult to be a criminal state but maybe rehab would help.

  • Dershowitz and Chomsky agree on one thing
    • @pedro

Palestinian Problem hmm... How quaint and dehumanizing. I have heard a similar expression directed against others before.

It's not complicated really. Boycotts and sanctions until Israel obeys the law. Cease being a rogue state and adhere to IL, IL, GC.

  • In leaked transcript of White House call, Trump lauds Israel's wall
    • @Elizabeth

Indeed the wall works as a method of land theft amd apartheid enforcement.

Only a complete idot claims it works for security wirh an estimated 50,000 people illegally crossing it each day. I doubt the trump wall will work as well given the geography

  • Head of American Jewish Committee is Israel's 'Foreign Minister,' said Netanyahu minister
  • Uncritical Jewish identification with oppressive Israeli policies fuels anti-Semitism -- Klug
    • @mayhem

Stinking pile of bs and pure manure.

". And they don't pay for all of it - sometimes they steal water from Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria to avoid the bills".

There isn't a single legal Israeli ("Jewish") community in the West Bank. You accuse the victims of stealing from the thieves. Typical zionist inverted moral compass. Pointing due south.

And Israelis claiming they are responsible for the investments in Palestinian education and health?? Lol only to the extent that Israel bombing facilities requires funding by the EU and other western nations to rebuild.

You, like, Israel, are a total fraud. Pure fiction to grease the wheels of a criminal conspiracy. Israel enjoys the most cost free occupation in history and does nothing for the Palestinians.

  • Debunking the 2 claims: anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism, and BDS unfairly singles out Israel
    • @annie

He usually claims to work for a municipality.

    • Roha ignores the fact that science admits that it is an evolution of knowledge as new discoveries are made and old mysteries solved.

Much better he claims to be one who ignore experts and be cave dwellers and luddites.

" Human rights are for everyone, not just those you agree with."

And not for Palestinians according to Israel and it's supporters.

    • @Tony

      Well said.

  • 'Transferring' Palestinian citizens of Israel to a Palestinian state goes from outrage to Netanyahu policy
    • @jack

Yet no judges at either the ICJ or the Israeli High Court of Justice have recognized the torah as a land deed. Instead both courts have recognized the Eest Bank and Gaza as occupied territory.

I retract my comment about you being a parody account with apologies yo all actual parody accounts. You don't have a quarter of the talent or intellect required.

    • @jack

You must be a parody account. C'mon fess up.

You claimed the torah was effectively a title deed a d ask others to disprove it.

Get real. The bible is fiction. If you don't understand that then your parents have failed you as has your community.

  • 'You are a Jew, you need to stand with the Jews': Peace activist Ariel Gold assaulted by settlers in Hebron
    • @Misterioso

Another stufy, which I won't bother linking as I have posted it before, traces modern Irish dna back to originating in the area 3,000 years ago.

In short Ashkenazi claims to be any sort of indigineous people in that area is a pure fraud. Criminals. Knowi g criminals. There has been a half century of legal decisions and authoritative warnings. Most recently UNSC 2334

These zionists are criminals and murderous radical scum. There can be little debate over that. No purported progressive feature of Israeli society acts as a counterweight against the scope, depth and frequency of Israeli crimes. Let's forget bds and push for all out sanctions.

Their must be a price for their terrorism and crimes against humanity. They are yet another large stain in human history.

  • Israel is losing the battle for public opinion thanks to honest journalists, and platforms like Mondoweiss
    • @Eljay

And echinococcus returns as a zionists wet dream. The perfect example of Palestinian intransigence and even irrationality. The reason there is no partner for any sort of peace or agreement. The reason there is no way forward.

Why echi could lead the Palestinians into a dead end far faster than Abbas ever did and could do it with both legs tied behind his back.

Echi is so in love with the Palestinian cause that he spends the vast majority of his posts and an even greater percentage of his verbiage attacking those who support the Palestinian cause but not the extent he deems necessary in his fictional little world where reality doesn't play a role.

All the while largely ignoring pro zionist posts.

Feel free to reply too echi. I stopped playing your silly game a long time ago. The Palestinians deserve their rights and freedoms. Whether you define yourself as a Palestinian supporter or zionist you are a part of the problem and zero part of the solution.

    • @nathan

Area C was to be transferred to PA control by 2009. Now Israel is drooling over settling it and driving Palestinians out of it.

What's your excuse? We can be sure you have one.

Oslo my ass. More israeli lies and cover for criminality.

  • 'Lack of hope' drives Palestinians to carry out terrorist attacks, State Department says
    • Total tosh. There was never a freeze just the usual zionist semantic game while continuing their crime spree.

  • 'Irreplaceable bedrock' of U.S. backing for Israel is threatened by -- intermarriage
    • @Antidote

The mic incident, while interesting, was not a accidental hot mic accident in my opinion. Preplanned for a Nutty speech. This was a speech for his base as well as ordinary citizens of the EU.

Israel does produce a number of innovations but the reality is nothing it produces is not easily replaceable when not already produced elsewhere. It's pharma industry is largely knock off drugs (one patent last time I looked 3-4 years ago), it's irrigation industry largely comprised of US held patents and it's microchip industry are branch industries of multinationals. North Vietnam has a level 4 fab as does Israel. The leading technology innovator in water desalinization is actually California. You can't knock their contributions but they are not even remotely indispensible in the world economy. There wouldn't be much of a hiccup if there was a 100% boycott and sanction regime in place.

  • The Palestinian Authority is on the verge of collapse, and collapse it should
    • @Nathan

Left? Last I heard a very typical right wing Israeli nutter assasinated the sitting Prime Minister over Oslo. And the current right wing nutter Prime Minister publicly bragged about killing it.

My major complaint with Oslo is that Israel has made no attempt to implement any part of it whether it is the 2SS or the status of areas which were to be passed to PA control and are not droolingly eyed by Israel for annexation.

The only parts Israel as allowed to proceed is those parts which facilitate the PA acting as their kapos on the captive population. Truly disgusting. On the part of the PA for cooperating. On Israel for the vile and inhuman lust for ethnic dominance and territory no matter how many human lives it costs. Include Jewish Israeli lives of civilians which it notes are on the front lines of the conflict in the illegal settlements it creates, condones and supports.

Oslo was never the optimal solution. It's probable no totally optimal solution could be implemented at this time.

I personally will continue to advocate BDS to ensure Israel pays a steep price for it's crimes against humanity and it's failure to implement UNSC resolutions.

As an Israeli supporter I am sure you would agree criminals and terrorists need to pay a price. And while you won't agree most likely Israel is a state founded and maintained thru terrorism. Without terrrorism there would be no Israel. A price is required for this rogue and pariah state.

As a ps... The recent lawsuit against the Palestinian family for the death of an armed officer of the Israeli state in occupied territory is valid to the extent that it should have been directed against the GoI for using it's citizens in illegal activities as they have been advised by the GoI legal counsel. Every Israeli death is solely on the GoI and it's supporters.

  • Canada order stores to deshelve settler wines with 'made in Israel' label
    • My understanding is that they were never outright banned as much as removed from shelves as they should not have been labelled as products of Israel.

    • Sadly the correct action taken on ensuring these wines are properly labelled has been rescinded. It is a great shame that our country is so weak kneed and complicit in Irsaeli war crimes and crimes against humanity..

    • The step to provide proper labelling on West Bank wines is a step in the right direction but clearly falls short of what is required. These products need to be totally banned from sale in Canada. Any Israeli product made in the west bank or made in Israel using west bank resources are products of crime. It is time to stop enabling Israel and being accessory to their criminal behaviour. When the world believed a peace agreement was possible there may have been an argument to turn a blind eye and allow the parties to focus on final status issues. Not sure there is one just that there may have been.

That process has proved to be a farce for too many decades and it's time the Israel starts to pay the cost of it's actions.

  • Israel slams UNESCO World Heritage decision on Hebron as Palestinians celebrate 12-3 vote in favor

Most people have the intelligence to know that neither connection nor history of Jewish people grant Israel sovereignty. There is no right which enables Israeli theft of territory.

  • Anti-Semitism accusations against 'Dyke March' prove pro-Israel lobby will torch LGBT rights for marginalized people
    • Apart from some public figures how effective is the accusation now? I would suggest that it has very little impact on most people and it has been for quite a while. It isn't hard for a rational person to see through it.

It is still seems to be very effective for a lot of zionists, permitting them to intellectually ignore the facts which are plain for all to see.

    • @ech and jwalters

I don't really disagree with either of you. At least not to a sugnificant extent. In terms of intervention in some of the problematic tyrannies, I am totally against it. Amd have been. I merely think we should remove our active and economic support for them. The resolution is then up to their citizens.

    • @jwalters

It is certainly one of the elephants in the room but not the only one. The other elephant being the Islamic tyrannies we prop up which keep their subjects in poverty. One is not better than the other or worse. There is certainly nothing that any state can learn from Israel other than efficient venality.

I wish there was only one elephant. The fact there is more than one gives each elephant the whataboutery excuse at pointing at the other while continuing their massive crines against humanity.

The west of course plays along as morality matters not a whit as long as we are doing fine off the products and profits.

Oh and why were the attacks being perpetrated? Israeli terrorism and mass slaughter of civilians. Ethnic cleansing and other vile crimes against humanity. Criminal actions of a rogue outlaw state.

BS catty... BDS would fall apart tbe second a peace agreement was aigned and implemented regardless of what it's initiators might want. An actual agreement mind you as there have been enough roadmaps and plans which Israel works tirelessly to ignore and destroy.

    • @catalan

      Not a whimper.

Yonah was quite upset with me for saying that comparisons with other historical regimes was inappropriate and unnecessary as Israel was equally vile in it's own right but the facts speak for themselves.

You can always be counted on to either be absent when any reasonable criticism of Israel is in discussion or to present with an excuse to suggest it be ignored. In the latter case you displayed that in the barghouti thread. The fact he may have been railroaded in a show trial doesn't appear on your radar.

One thi g you can count on with zionists is a total absence of morality it if it impinges on zionist objectives. Pure flotsam.

    • @justjessetr

For a half century the world has tried engagement, talk and support with Israel and criminal zionists. The 2SS has been the objective. The result is less land for a 2SS and increased criminal zionist demands for the entirety of the land. At best offer is less than a state for Palestinians. Israelis and criminal zionists insist Palestinians must not enjoy equal rights in their own land. They must settle for less. And they must thank their masters for that. zionism is racism. It grew out of the same philosophy that spawned other 20th century forms of racism which the majority recognize as vile. It needs to be consigned to the dustbin of history where it belongs. Along with the other pond scum of history.

    • @justjessetr

  • On 'NYT' stage, Roger Waters calls BDS 'valid and legitimate picket line'
    • Ethics, truth, morality, fairness, and justice are foreign concepts to zionists. They have no perception what it means. Everything is filtered through a zionist filter which translates into does this benefit Israel. If yes then it's good and if not then it's evil or antisemitic. I truly don't think they realize it. I don't think that some of them realize that things can be good for Israel and for others.

No matter.... zionism is an immoral 19th century political philosophy which is rooted in pure racism. Similar to white supremacy and other foul belief systems of the period.

Much is made about the desire to return "home" over the passed millenia but if it was a belief of the time they would have. And if it was a belief of the time zionists would not have been held in such low regard by Jewish people. And if it was a belief of the religion they would be waiting for the coming of the messiah which was a precondition for that return.

Regardless it is a scourge. The proof that it is a scourge is their attack on the fundamental rights that people in the west used to have to free speech. That is their main target in this current age as free speech will show the lie of the perversion that is zionism.

Nothing scares a zionist more than the thought of equality and justice. Show me when you have advocated for either. I know you can't. It goes against the core of who and what you are.

      diplomatic terrorism.
mass murder of women and children = self defense.
a woman's womb is an existential threat.

The world is filled with violent murderous people. Jihadists. Dictators. Empires. Israel is a beacon to the the lowest of the low.

And that applies to Israel and the average Israeli supporter. The settlers are a breed that are much lower on the ladder of humanity.

      Victimhood perfected.

    • @eljay

They think they're tough because with advanced weapons they can slaughter unarmed women and children. As long as they're mikes away or thousands of feet up. They wouldn't last against a comparably equipped force.

  • The bulldozers of Shavuot, 1967
    • @yonah

Who wouldn't have wished to avoid the 67 war. Such an inconvenience wasn't it. If only everyone had bowed to their masters it would have so much easier and cleaner. It was truly barbaric that the moral and mighty Israelis were forced to kill and expell the others. So terrible of that the most moral idf were forced to slaughter innocents. Antisemites the lot of them.

You could create a yonah branded line of barf bags with your line of utter [email protected]&

It was a war of choice. That is on the record. The celebrations are over the desire to kill and steal. No moral issue. The antithesis. The dregs of humanity. Explain the difference between jsil and daesh if you ever find a credible line.

    • @yonah

You make it sound so sanquine. Oh but for others you would do things properly

But your hands are tied due to circumstances beyond your control and doubling down on murder and oppression are your only options. You are a victim of circumstances. But a victim for sure.

It is every bit as disgusting as the prime perpetrators. Excusing yourself is a delusion as people continue to suffer and die.

  • I am not a jew
    • @jon 's

Not sure why you question it so much Jon. It is generally accepted that it exists. I had a photographic memory in my youth. I remember sitting in exam rooms, closing my eyes and reading text book pages. Including images and their captions. It came naturally and easily. I lost that ability gradually between the ages of 20and 45. Now I forget where my car keys are and when I find them where exactly I parked my car at the mall.

Eidetic memory or not there is no reason a traumatic or horrific event can't be firmly imprinted on one's memory making them unable to forget. I doubt many holocaust victims ever forget. I doubt many soldiers forget either. The lucky ones might. I know I will never forget a single split second of sitting by the side of my first two wives as they died. Never. Not even a slight dulling. All I can do is try not to think about it. Or my dad as well for that matter. Even 25 yrs later.

It was a show trial worthy of the old USSR where even the presiding judge was making prejudicial statements in court.
It was a farce. It was a violation of international law and the geneva conventions.

You're full of it as usual hophead.

It was known as early as Jan 2015 that a large number of these calls were coming from Israel. 2015. Yet Israel just couldn't cracked the case.

I doubt the fbi taught the Israelis anything either Jeff. They were just content to let the terror continue, once the fbi showed up the jig was up and it had to be solved.

Throw a few more under the bus.

    • @JeffB

And one Jewish Israeli is reported to have called in thousands of threats over the past couple of years. Israel, that hi tech marvel of the world, unable to find him until the fbi taught them some simple basics.

Why one could think the GoI didn't mind the fears and terror those calls created.

      Just curious jon s

Do you hate the supposed double standards used to demonize Israel as much as the double standards used to protect Israel from it's evil acts?

In the live news conference today it was amusing to see tillerson demonizing assad for using cluster bombs. Not just because of Israel but because of it's own actions.

Israel is every bit as immoral as a ME dictatorship considered beyond the pale. It is evil and immoral. It's nuclear weapons protect it from punishment but there is not one single thing to be proud of in such a vile criminal state.

Israel ... No worse than a criminal dictatorship.

That should be your nations motto. I suggest you work on that change once you come to grips with living on the the graves of those slaughtered to enable your presence in that house you claim you own.

My apologies to Syrians as Israelis get to choose their evil regimes.

    • @jon s

What's relevant is that they used it.

    • @Citizen

Sorry to reply twice but the use of wp in civilian areas is also a violation of the 1980 Treaty on the use of certain conventional weapons. Primarily Article III which dealt with Incendiary weapons.

    • @Citizen
"Apparently, it’s not among the officially banned CW under international law. - See more at:"

I've seen this many times and it's a deflection from the truth. While the OCPW does list a few specific formulations it's drafters knew that it was faced with a situation similar to that we see with modern designer drugs. Tweak a molecule here or there and you have a new chemical compound. It would be impossible to ever create a comprehensive and effective list.

For that specific reason the generic definition of a chemical weapon was

      (a) Toxic chemicals and their precursors, except where intended for purposes not prohibited under this Convention, as long as the types and quantities are consistent with such purposes;

      (b) Munitions and devices, specifically designed to cause death or other harm through the toxic properties of those toxic chemicals specified in subparagraph (a), which would be released as a result of the employment of such munitions and devices;

      The definition is given here

Using wp to provide a smokescreen would not be a violation of the ocpw. Using it against personnel would indeed be a use of a chemical weapon not only due to it's burning effect on people but also because the gas produced in that process is also toxic and potentially lethal to humans.

I'm neither a lawyer nor chemist but the use of wp against civilians as we saw in both Iraq and Palestine is a defacto use of chemical weapons. Air burst shells which were seen are not use to create a smokescreen. The laughing US officer referring to the tactic as shake and bake also makes quite clear why the chemical was being used.

      Universal? Not in Israel.

You only get your knickers in a knot when you imagine turnabout.

Whether a bullet in the back or the result of deprivation over the long term Palestinian are treated worse than livestock.

Wipe away your crocodile tears and wait for the next man to be kicked to death by a mob for not having the right appearance. A foul foul state. Racist to the core.

    • @jon s

Nothing bloodthirsty about talknic's comments. As this type of evil act is pepetrated on the Palestinian people repeatedly clearly it is an acceptable type of act by Israeli citizens.

Don't Israelis desrve to be treated the way they treat others. Both good and bad? I thought you would be on board with equality. Perhaps Israelis also want medics who will finish off the wounded?

  • 'This miracle, this gift, this jewel' -- Obama's ambassador to Israel declares he's a Zionist
    • @talknic

I admire your tenacity and civility. You are not alone in your opinion and position. I would have been giving the one or two finger salute long before now.

And not related to the thread but a prop to eljay whose opinions reflect reality and morality.

  • Israel’s ‘right to exist’ and the Palestinian right to resist
    • @Sibiriak

All well defined but a wasted effort at cut and paste. Israelis know this and in the normal course of life and moral choices know this. It is really pretty simple. Simple enough for someone even as dense as catalan or dabakr to figure out. Hophmi.... not so much. I don't doubt his iq but he is buried in victimhood.

It is an issue of priority. Catalan is good because he is doing ok. He cares not a whit but for himself. Doughbaker cares for nothing but the tribe and will embrace pure evil for the tribe. He sees himself as a warrior in embracing evil for the tribe. Again hophmi
.. he is just lost to any normal human emotions. Sad but a waste of space. The carbon savings are the best he will ever be able to offer i won't say the sooner the better as no one will notice quite frankly.

Yeah... as if Israel gave a crap about the gender of a Palestinian when it drops a bunker buster and turns them into a member of the pink mist society.

Some called Israel's propaganda pink washing. It shouldn't be ignored the pink represents vaporized Palestinians.

    • @jeffb

And there is no comparison between Israel and NC. we aren't talking about bathroom privileges or even water fountain access in the case of Israel.

Murder, theft, disposession, state terrorism, denial if any human rights except those Israel wishes to dispense.

Israel isn't being demonized. It is being called out for the vicious barbaric state it is.

You may have thought you had a point but you failed on a grand scale to comprehend the evil reality Israel imposes on millions of humans.

Rivlin was beibg a supporter when he called Israel a sick society. It is much much worse than that.

I am not sure what is to get about. There was never anything more moral about the US. The US has been on this trajectory all my life. If you have power you use it.

      Sadly quite true.

I don't see any solution until enough people actually care about other humans as individuals.

    • @Kay24

In all my years on this planet I have yet to see a US not involved in a war or trying to start one. The death toll is literally in the many millions. The world is not a better place for any of it.

I have many friends in the US. I have family there as well. Some for several generations.

I can't reconcile the actuality of the US with what those citizens perceive themselves to be on the world stage.

I just don't get the absolute disconnect.

    • @Keith

No need for nazi comparisons. zionists are just as vile on their own merits.

The US and Israel violate every humanitarian principle known. The US army is know as the most efficient killing machine in the world. Not necessarily the most effective.

It really doesn't matter what nazis did. The two of them are just as bad without a comparison.

Who cares who they liquidate or evaporate. We're number one.

WP is so much more humane than sarin. In fact the US general laughingly described it's use to the world as 'shake and bake'. I do mean laughingly literally.

Beyond comprehension and explanation. Exceptional only as a form of evil.

    • @Keith

zionists ask for nuance but they don't actually understand it. They have redefined the dictionary. Balanced means lopsided in their favour.

    • I hear you amigo. Do some people enjoy the kill just because they can or because they can and also get away with it.

The moral high ground is several thousand feet below the majority of humanity.

I can't even imagine walking in those shoes let alone a mile. I wouldn't tolerate it. I don't know anyone who would. Yet Israel and it's supporters believe that they are the victims since the oppressed don't meekly accept their lot.

  • 'New' Netanyahu policy on settlements promises Trump less building, and Israeli settlers more
    • I fail to see how nutty has in any way given a promise to reduce settlement building. There are so many vague words and conditionals that the statement has no substantive meaning. It's really just giving the middle finger to the issue.

We will only build in, or next to, or close to, existing settlements if we feel that is what we can and want to do. Otherwise....
