  • Israeli soldier filmed executing wounded Palestinian man
    • 'The most moral army in the world' is in fact the most immoral, carrying out extrajudicial killings of innocent & unarmed civilians on a daily basis as part of the ethnic cleansing of the indigenous people of the West Bank & East Jerusalem, funded by #BarackObama & fully supported by #HillaryClinton. Where's the hope for any change we can believe in...?

  • Read the speech Bernie Sanders planned to give to AIPAC
    • #BernieSanders was the only Democratic or Republican presidential candidate who had the guts to stiff AIPAC, though the speech he would have given falls far short of what he should have said; he should have called Israel an outlaw #apartheid regime engaged in #genocide in #Gaza. That being said, his call for an end to Israel's illegal siege of Gaza makes him unique among big party presidential candidates & puts him light years ahead of #HillaryClinton, who has openly endorsed Israeli occupation, apartheid & genocide as she positions herself as the candidate of the Zionist killing machine. If the choice is between the mealy-mouthed moderate Bernie & the right-wing Zionist neocon Republican Hillary, I'll take Mr. Milquetoast over Killary any day~!

  • Earlham Student Senate passes resolution in support of divestment from Israeli occupation
    • Apartheid Israel is alienating the younger generation of Jewish Americans and losing the debate on college campuses as more and more students -- Jewish & non-Jewish alike -- on campuses across the country are coming to understand the morally reprehensible character of the apartheid regime in occupied Palestine, which is what frightens the Israeli government and the Zionist machine more than anything else. Bravo, Earlham BDS~!

  • A lesson from the New York Times on how to mislead with numbers
    • The New York Times is part of the Zionist machine and has proved itself to be completely unreliable at best when it comes to reporting on Israel/Palestine. Jodi Rudoren, the Times bureau chief in Jerusalem, is nothing but a propagandist for the Israeli government. Kudos to Anna Flagg and Moiz Syed for their expert analysis of the Times' manipulation of Gaza data~!

  • Understanding the Jewish National Home
    • The Carlsbad Resolution of 1921 could be the blueprint for what today would be called a 'one-state solution,' though today's Zionists no doubt would denounce it as the harbinger of a second Holocaust. As things stand with Netanyahu's creeping de facto annexation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, with the two-state solution all but dead, there is no alternative to one single democratic state from the Jordan River to the sea; anything else would be a permanent apartheid regime. Thanks to Dr. Fincham for bringing these enlightening documents to our attention~!

  • The farewell party of the mezuzah-kissers
    • So if Bougie & Tzipi beat Bibi, what difference will it make, really? Not much, because the Zionist project of the dispossession of the Palestinian people will continue even if the 'Left' wins; it'll just proceed more slowly & cautiously, lulling liberal American Zionists into a false sense of progress. So maybe a Netanyahu victory would actually be better in that it would push Israel faster in the direction of a one-state solution. If you're voting in the Israeli election, consider voting for the Joint List~!

  • Selective voting in the land of Greater Israel
    • If Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton & Elizabeth Warren proposed that Congress enact a law excluding 36% of all Americans from the right to vote based on race or ethnicity -- e.g., all African Americans, Latinos & Asian Americans -- would anyone still regard them as 'progressive'? And yet, all three support Israel's disenfranchisement of 36% of the population under its control based solely on their race or ethnicity; how progressive is that...?

  • Israel has granted refugee status to 0.07% of African asylum seekers
    • Israel's treatment of of African asylum seekers is a clear violation of its own treaty obligations as well as international law and points to the character of the apartheid regime that now rules the lives of millions of Palestinians as well. This article is an important part of the effort to document Israel's human rights abuses and violations.

  • Israel's new Asian allies
  • Coalition of more than 40 NYC community groups calls on City Council to cancel delegation to Israel
    • NYAGRA is a transgender advocacy organization and issued this statement on behalf of the Don't Go Coalition:

The New York Association for Gender Rights Advocacy (NYAGRA) is proud to join with other members of the Don’t Go Coalition in protesting the New York City Council’s February 2015 trip to Israel and in calling on those Council members to withdraw from a propaganda tour intended to increase American support for the illegal Israeli occupation of the West Bank and East Jerusalem and the illegal Israeli siege of the Gaza Strip.

Shamefully, 15 members of the City Council — including members of the LGBT Caucus — are going on what is for all practical purposes a junket paid for by the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) and the United Jewish Appeal (UJA). Shockingly, these Council members are participating in a tour that in previous years has taken elected officials to visit illegal Israeli settlements . Even the United States, Israel’s closest ally, which subsidizes Israel with approximately $3 billion in aid each year, does not recognize its illegal occupation of the occupied Palestinian territories (OPT) ; in participating in this tour, the 15 Council members are implicitly endorsing Israel’s war crimes and contravention of international law.

NYAGRA was founded to pursue transgender rights, which members of the board of directors see as inextricably linked with human rights for marginalized and oppressed groups both in the United States and abroad. NYAGRA’s chair, Pauline Park, participated in the first US LGBTQ delegation tour to Palestine, in which she represented NYAGRA, part of the organization’s commitment to human rights in occupied Palestine, where transgendered and gender-variant Palestinians suffer under the illegal Israeli occupation just as non-transgendered Palestinians do.

Among the many other members of the Don’t Go Coalition are Adalah-New York, Jewish Voice for Peace-New York, New York City Queers Against Israeli Apartheid (NYC QAIA), CodePink/NY, Direct Action Front for Palestine and a host of other organizations.

  • Activists block Jericho road to protest East Jerusalem land grab
    • Kudos to the activists challenging Israel's ethnic cleansing of the indigenous people of Palestine and kudos to Annie Robbins for reporting news stories from the occupied territories that we rarely get from the mainstream US news media~!

  • A handful of Wellesley students are trying to shut down discussion of Israel/Palestine
    • Kudos to the members of WSJP for standing up to the Zionist machine that is attempting to shut down discussion of Israeli apartheid on the Wellesley campus~!

  • The occupied territories are 7000 miles from New Mexico but I felt like I never left home
    • Rodrigo, I was fascinated and inspired by your account of your delegation tour experience. I participated in the first US LGBTQ delegation to Palestine and we also me with Abu Nidal and other Palestinian farmers and villagers under siege by the Israeli military and illegal Israeli settlements. I've also visited New Mexico, and you're right about it being a beautiful land with a brutal history "of colonization, of land grabs, and genocide; but also a history of struggle and resistance," just like Palestine. I'd never thought of that parallel, but it is an apt one. I was born in Korea, which also has a history of colonization, brutal foreign military occupation and land grabs as well as struggle and resistance. Thank you for writing this account of your delegation tour, which is an important statement about how we as people of color in the US can support the Palestinian struggle against Israeli apartheid in occupied Palestine. Viva la resistencia~!

  • Elizabeth Warren says killing Palestinian civilians is 'the last thing Israel wants'
    • I was seriously interested in Elizabeth Warren as a presidential candidate and would have supported her enthusiastically over the ultra-Zionist Hillary Clinton, but I've completely lost my enthusiasm for Elizabeth Warren over her support for Israeli apartheid and genocide; no one who supports apartheid and genocide could be described as a genuine progressive. If she does run against Hillary for the Democratic nomination, I might vote for Elizabeth as the lesser of two evils, but without any enthusiasm. And I would most likely vote for the Green Party candidate in the general election as I did in 2012.
