"What happened to Israel's reputation?"
.
Each and every little bit helps.

In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.
- Franklin D. Roosevelt
lobewyper,
There's a lot of info on all of this that's been out there for years.
Just google anything you want to know and start reading.
Regarding Bin Laden being a CIA asset at least until 9/11, research former FBI interpreter and whistle blower Sibel Edmunds, the most gagged woman in history of the U.S.
Her website is BoilingFrogsPost.com
.
Some here may ask, "What does anything about Bin Laden, the CIA, 9/11, etc., have to do with 'The War of Words in the Middle East'"?
The answer is: Everything.
Everything is connected.
If you doubt that, keep an open mind, temporarily suspend your disbelief, and do some solid research on all of this. Then come back and tell me that it's unrelated. Trust me, you won't.

This Nov. 2011 video of Walsh says it all about the man. He's just not that smart.
Rep. Joe Walsh Yells At His Constituents

I LOVE this woman!!
"Remember all those standing ovations Bibi got from our Congress?"
Yes, bought and paid for by AIPAC, et al.
It minimizes the significance of Rudoren's amazing piece by instead focusing on the question, "Where's NPR?"
Her piece is so significant that, for the moment, I don't care where NPR is.
HysTERical and SO true, honey!
Thanks, Phil.
The young are the hope for the future.
Let's increase the signatures at thankyou60minutes.org
To counter the 26,000 negative responses sent to CBS before the show, thankyou60minutes.org was hoping to get 29,000 in support.
They now have 38347.
Let's make it 38348 and counting..
"... shrieking Israel absolutists..."
best description, yet.
Medea, you're truly amazing.
Cool how you got it all out there, audibly and articulately, even as they tried to grab you
Perfect that "Shame on you" were your closing words, just as the door was closed behind you.
Very dramatic, very powerful, very courageous.
Regarding other members of the audience: You could hear a pin drop. They heard every word you said.
right on the money, annie.
Was this the University of Illinois at Champaign or the University of Illinois at Chicago?
1. "conflicted identity issues." = the new goyim "self-hating Jew"
2. Why [fill in the blank] chooses singularly to obsess about the Israel-Palestinian conflict (with an unabashedly anti- Israel bias), while rarely, if ever, commenting on other conflicts...
I'm beginning to think that this is not just a rationalization always tossed out there. I honestly think they DON'T understand why.
Netanyhu's father, Benzion, just died.
Will it make a difference to any of this?
When generations change, it always makes a difference.
This is a tremendous piece. Thanks for including it.

The timing of this one reflects the recent swiss cheese analogy made by the Palestinian Christian on 60 Minutes.
Ira, thanks for this.
I can't wait for My Neighbourhood (full version) to become easily viewable everywhere.
25 min is the perfect length for educational sessions/discussions.
Just read all posts at Huff, #1 above.
If I'm a young Jewish American, I'd think these people were a bunch of old fogeys who just don't "get it."
Why? Because they read like a bunch of old fogeys who just dont' get it.
Two things:
1) Courage is contagious. (All these people first caught it from you.)
2) Comments are now active at Open Zion, which I hope will enrich the dialogue.
I've never heard any of this before. Thanks so much for bringing it up.
Is the name "Breanna," a name of choice for Manning?
Kathleen's, right.
Seriously, is this a joke or did he really add the ChipZiomonks to his official address video?
For those of us who aren't sure, if we don't know we lose out, here.
Someone?
Levon Helm: " [I]n my heart I'm still Lavon, the hambone kid in the 4-H show. In fact, the main thing that still gets my juices flowing is to get over to the venue on the night of the job, wherever it might be, anywhere in the world. The man that's running the joint knows we're coming, and he invites me in and helps me set up my stuff. We play some music, and then he pays us. That's the only way I ever wanted it.
As for The Band, we never sold millions of records or got attacked by groupies, but we're still here. We never thought our 'career' was more important than the music. That's our whole story, right there."
I'm afraid that I've never heard of the guy before but know he's my kind of person.
Fabulous, Kathleen!
No kidding.
What a panel!
Thanks, Alex.
Yup, my guess is that at Christmas and Easter Christians are busy, tired, doing other things. Probably would have missed it.
The timing of it, now, is too good good to be true. That Israel missed the connection is priceless.
"seafood"
If that's a typo, it's really funny.

A general aside to all:
"..when British troops entered Lexington on the morning of April 19, [1775] they found 77 minutemen formed up on the village green. Shots were exchanged, killing several minutemen. The British moved on to Concord, where a detachment of three companies was engaged and routed at the North Bridge by a force of 500 minutemen. As the British retreated back to Boston, thousands of militiamen attacked them along the roads, inflicting great damage before timely British reinforcements prevented a total disaster. With the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the war had begun." - wikipedia
.
On April 19, 2012, one would think the US should have been commemorating the Battles of Lexington and Concord, which marked the beginning of the American Revolution.
It's not about denial, it's about facts.
The term demeans everyone who lost their lives because their deaths were enmeshed with the facts on the ground.
They died with the facts.
We should be able to live them.
Thanks for sharing this, Bruce. It is a nice photo of your dad. Thanks for including it.
I'm not a fan of the slur "holocaust denier."
It's all political theatre.
Thanks for the resolution link!

True.
How many have they tried to quash?
All of them.
Thanks, dc.

This prison, unlike anti-semitism, was self-imposed, and made up of three invisible walls: the idea of the Chosen People, Holocaust remembrance and support for the state of Israel. Having trapped themselves inside these walls, the prosperous, assimilated Jews of the West were less and less able to see themselves clearly, or to appreciate the suffering of others – particularly the Palestinians living behind the ‘separation fence’.
Spot on.

Generations will soon be changing.
Thanks for this, GB.
Seriously, my nanosecond initial impression of the left side of the poster was:
If Israel took a polygraph, their lies would be exposed, thus saving US taxpayers the money given to Israel each year and plus the money spent on wars the US fights for them.
Danya,
Very proud of you guys.
May the Land of Enchantment become a land of enlightenment.
The truth shall set us free. Love is the only way forward.
Interesting that 60 Minutes sat on this report for almost a full year and is now releasing it in time for the upcoming Methodist meet on divestment that has been more or less inspired by the Kairos.
Hadn't thought of it.
The fallout will be fascinating.
Agreed.
Unless we step back, we miss the immense significance of this.
Million of 60 Minutes viewers still know little-to-nothing about the I/P "conflict" and, honestly, remain confused about who the good guys are and who the bad guys are. Keeping things confused has been a significant Israeli goal and, for decades, it has worked magnificently in it's favor.
Last night, viewers got a general impression in 15 minutes. The details don't matter, the impression does and, in this piece, it's loud and clear.
Israel in the bad guy. Furthermore, it uses coercion at the highest levels and lies without shame.
NPR, yes. But check out CBS!!
UNBELIEVABLE segment on 60 minutes tonight.
Bob Simon rips Oren a new one here:
Christians of the Holy Land
Powerful.
I can't suggest strongly enough to the creator of this video/montage that it be edited any number of times to be specifically directed to every faith group that participated in the civil rights movement (there are many), whether they are currently voting on or considering BDS or not.
Sending one to each would help educate members on the issue and would definitely give them pause to think.
...what a human being.
Thanks, Dena.
