      Well i saw Gilad in Toronto and i did not see anything controversial about him.I mostly saw a very generous man,a universalist and a member of the human race.In fact somebody that his jewish mother should be very proud of.as palestinian organisation goes the only ones that have a problem with him are the ones controlled by jews and this is the essence of his dialogue.he invites everybody to it and of course he is getting the Spinoza treatment.Peace and justice does not spells out Israel unfortunatly

      i had the privilege to listen to Gilad in Toronto and there is absolutly nothing anti-semitic about him,no sorry anti-semitic is a non-signifier,there is nothing racist about him.He is not controversial in the least,what he does is challenging jewish identity politics and by reading the posts here he has some very serious points.The palestinian solidarity that have a problem are the ones controlled by jews and they are so busy defending jews they have no time for the palestinians. Can't anybody see the irony on this and this is exactly what Gilad is talking about.just let go already you will all feel so much better when you give up

      I have a lot of respect for mr. Finkelstein but i don't understand one thing.the conclusion that is reaching does not make sense with his analysis that he took regarding this conflict.his position does not correspond to what he is describing.that is why and the same with Chomsky i am trying to understand what is doing the warping. What do you mean ?the palestinians stepping up to the plate? You have the same attitude they have nothing to prove to anybody.You want them to make nice so you can give them a cookie.i find this very condescending.we have to step up to the plate and be relentless and agressive

      This is interesting.from what i can see one of the problem with the 2 states solution now is the advocates of that position are americano-centric.it is based on the belief that the US and it's zionist owned foreign policy will always control the narrative on the ME.The world is now evolving at a very fast pace,it has accelerated and the usual debates are going to become irrelevant.how long will it take i don't know but it is starting to smell like it is changing.Second as Jeff mentionned it, only the palestinians have the right to decide what is acceptable and i will support whatever they decide. i think like in may 68: demand the impossible.Do you think that the commune of Paris the people were reasonable?Mr. Finkelstein is an extraordinary scholar like Chomsky unfortunatly i think that they can't make a complete break from their jewish identity(atzmon).This is Ok but they should refrain from commenting on a subject that is not of their business. What we need INTIFADA everywhere and freedom in the new year

      my question is there anything we can do about flagrant lies.Where is the limit in a newspaper to publish wrong information especially if it is not an opinion piece.can they be force to publish a retractation if they are proven wrong? i would like to know if there is any ethical standard in newspaper to follow.otherwise might as well believe aliens have been found in the sewers of new york and will be guess speakers at aipac

      Why is everything so complicated? Gilad is my brother.You have to be able to give up and then reconnect with the world.You will still be able to be jewish and be part of humanity. there is so much gibberish but everybody prefer to spend endless hours discussing your identidy instead of resolving the problem.

      i can resolve this problem in 15 minutes. You can challenge me anytime

      Phil why do you avoid Gilad? i find his understanding of the relation between talmudic judaism and what we see in israel very illuminating.His grasp of the philosophical root of zionism and it's subsequent racist construction is essential to the break down of the wall of illusional understanding the jewish community has about itself and its relationship to the world.
      i found that you are still incapable of a real break from what is troubling you.it was evident with helen thomas. You feel you have to tip-toe around and not shake the tree.Unfortunatly my experience is it is time to really be aggressive now if you think that zionism has to be defeated.Also you want to only adress yourself to the jewish community.You are what 3%.You have to adress the entire USA and the only way is the van damme way.You don't want to offend the fence sitter around 2.5%.These people are sheep they go where the wind blows they just don't want to be ostracise for their thinking.look what happened to goldstone.imagine a nice couple in queens

      iwrote these post on purpose. have you notice in a conversation you always have to say jewish people and if you say jews it is automatically called anti-semitic even if there is no jewish people.i could have said the same thing and find a way not to upset by not mentionning the world people.tonight i am going to a seder and i will read about jewish justice with the 10 plagues. the last time i mentionned sabra and shatila i pretty much sat on my own for the rest of the evening. Happy passover everyone.What i see for the future is a new tribe based on social justice and a respect for everyone and the planet that will cancel the need for territorial control over ridiculous pieces of land.with respect everyone can live and fulfill their lives.this new communism will be for the first time really international.the beginning is in the ME.the word jew was synonimus with international let's go back to that.

      you see the reaction.Myself i have been called all kinds of name.prejudice is everywhere. What i meant is this:i have to always think before i say something i walk on egg shells. How many people have to examine themselves and be careful of the others motives before they open their mouth.I did not say they were not friendly. they are so friendly i married one and my 2 kids are jewish but i know that when i discuss palestine i have the look. I think Helen Thomas was stigmatised and she is right to be angry and she has the right to express that anger even if it offends some people. don't need to apologize

      Helen Thomas was crude but what is wrong with that.One of the big problem with jews is that they are thin skin.They are constantly offended with the smallest propos and cry anti-semitism over everything. if what she said was an exageration it was not by much.there is not enough people willing to challenge the narrative hegemony in the USA and anybody that does should be rewarded. i live in a jewish community and i am tired to say i am sorry even before i say anything
