clever
Iran was ready to make a comprehensive deal with Bush Jr. in 2003 - remember? But that didn't fit the neocon "war-on-terror" campaign plans so that was rebuffed outright ... now the sanctions are real, have tremendous bite and Iran again is ready to make a deal - but once again zio-thug zionist israel does not want peace to break out so they keep moving the goal-posts and cracking the whip on their useful hosts (such as USA) over whom they ride herd
hilarious - because the Dem flack was going to tout how Obama jumps on command when the zio-lobby barks and the Republican money-man was going to complain that he jumps a millisecond too slow and a millimeter too low
Simon wants to keep on doing hard stories, and because his pieces on israel get him heat from our israeli overlords he has to do tone it down form time-to-time but he did let his interview subject make the point
I am again reminded of the adage behind every great fortune lies a great crime and Tel Aviv has come into great fortune and it sits right on top of the great crime ... further, I wonder how much of that business and tech and medical success is built upon the transfer of US taxpayer money over to israel through their control of our Congress or outright theft through israel's comprehensive and constant monitoring of US electronic communication (as well as their straight-up espionage)
Sorkin is a good writer with the occasional observational zinger, such as "social networking is to socializing as reality television is to reality"
All of us who decry the surveillance society being imposed upon us can take easy small steps to thwart it - for example, don't use Google to search, use Duck-Duck Go
DuckDuckGo ... it does not track or store your data and other search engines don't either ... they all essentially return the same results anyway (or used to until Google started to manipulate its results for commercial purposes)
Also, create a Faraday cage for your smart phone - it can be as simple as wrapping a piece of aluminum foil around it (or get a metal case for it that snaps open and closed ... this will block its signals until you uncover it
"what does [israel] plan to do about it?"
what they plan doesn't matter, what they will do is escalate - as they always always do - and only make the situation much worse for all ... but this speeds up the death of zionism, so it will be useful in that regard
I'm glad to see the names of the Neocon Thirty being bandied about - their names should live in eternal infamy and hopefully we'll see many of these men from the "JINSA crowd" marched off to The Hague in handcuffs and leg-irons for their war-crimes. It is terrible how their greater-israel agenda and Fifth Columnist activities have so harmed the United States of America
israel never ever does the right thing - they only ever escalate ... so expect an appalling verdict that finds no fault and lets the IDF, the killdozer driver, and state of israel off scot-free and leaves the Corrie family and those who cherish justice left with bitter tears, again ... at least the pressure on Caterpillar is slowly working - I hope that people working within the company are made aware of how their hard work is transformed into war-crime murders
do a search of Boteach's family ... this huckster is as noxious as the Dersh when you do some digging
yes, we here on the Mondoweiss comments well know that the tipping point has been reached - but it has not yet resulted in the tide turning ... there is a trickle growing into a stream and in some places a river, but the flood has not yet come ... when the flood comes today's kind of zio-madness will be washed away ... and, hopefully, the Palestinians can continue to emulate the US civil rights movement of the 60s and remain non-violent in the face of the ongoing horrors and war-crimes and put all their efforts of resistance in the form of video, audio, still images and information - the world is growing more and more aware of the zionist-Likkud thugs and serial war-crimes and as that knowledge expands it will not stand ... the South Africa parallel is almost completely formed now and when that takes hold - it is curtains for the zio-thugs
America and the world will celebrate when we purge the Neocon Thirty from free society and march them off to The Hague for their war crimes trials and then off to prison
I would love to take away Kristol's rights - and place him in handcuffs and leg-irons for his key role as part of the Neocon Thirty and send him off to prison for life
part of a much larger tapestry: 9/11 happens and the psyche of the nation is traumatized and the nation's people open to all manner of sweeping changes in the law - which over decade later now see massive invasions if privacy and wholesale chucking out the window of the 4th Amendment protections to be "secure in their persons, houses, papers and effects" - felon John Poindexter pushed TIA (total information awareness) and now we have it ... wholesale monitoring of all US citizens and data-mining on an unimaginable scale - wait, weren't we the victims on 9/11? Why are we being monitored?
the Douche, oop I mean the Dersh, will take whatever position is the most awkward and gets him the most media time
it is very important that all people speak openly and about the most sensitive topics directly to israelis and zionists - for far too long the cloak of victimhood has cowed far too many into silence - israel and zionism's crimes are legion and are horrific and must be discussed and challenged so that israel can change and there is a chance for all to live in peace over there - only pressure will compel change because israel's usual course is to blame the victim and bulldoze the evidence
secular
pluralistic
demilitarization
laws guaranteeing equal rights
enforcement of equal rights
without these israel evaporates
the zio lobby so fiercely fights to control perception and debate in this country because we are their meal-ticket and useful fool - in israel they are all in on the game and can have open discussion, debate, and take really outrageous cartoons and such because they are safely over there and have widespread groupthink ... the zionists and israel-loyalists here feel more vulnerable having to defend the outrages of israel so, yes, this kind of cartoon makes them uncomfortable
Boilerplate for all scandals:
mistakes were made
there were accounting errors
they need to teach propaganda to achieve this? so many of the 105-IQ-and-under types flock to uniform-wearing jobs and they like things simple, so many many of the WASPS and other Christians of other skin colors and backgrounds already are primed to believe this bunk or come in believing it already ... "conservatives" like a simple world-view - no more than 4 large puzzle pieces that fit together easily or else they panic and can't sleep at night ... the rest of us, and most assuredly progressives, realize that to understand the world we need to contemplate a vast number of puzzle pieces and that there are complexities and odd shapes and we never ever fit them all into place - we just get close
precisely
in a way they hold the whole world hostage
Berg is a mediocre film director and seemed not very well informed nor terribly coherent in his remarks to this israeli film flack ... it would have been entertaining if they'd gone on another 10 minutes to get Berg fully into interview train-wreck territory ... he might have brought up the dancing israelis of 9/11 or the USS Liberty "My Dad was a Navy historian" ... what is of note is that people feel emboldened to speak out directly to israelis about once taboo subjects - the control has worn off
non-violence works - I hope various Palestinian factions can use self-discipline in a sustained way and only respond with weapons and violence when overtly and publicly attacked ... non-violence puts witnesses squarely on the side of those being brutalized and the world is witness to israel's endless and ongoing brutality and the world is weary of it and if Palestinians continue to focus on generating more witnesses and maintaining non-violence the apartheid regime of israel will go the way of the apartheid regime of South Africa
let us all work to make the Neocon Thirty part of the lexicon of American history the way we use the terms Gang of Four and Chicago Seven ... by giving them a name we keep a light upon them which reveals to history their crimes
that picture says it all - israel's boot on the neck of Palestine (in this case a soldier's knee) ... over 20 years ago I had an israeli boyfriend and he was from a leftist, intellectual family and he said "we took their land and put our boot on their neck and we can never lift it up" ... that is the thinking - that revenge will haunt them, hence the endless worsening of the oppression ... when the fact is nearly all Palestinians are perfectly willing to live side-by-side if the humiliation and oppression would just stop
Every single organization in the history of humankind that puts adults in authority positions over children will draw people interested in sexual relations with children - such jobs provide access ... add the authority and respect of a religious position and they have that much more cover to commit abuse ... what is newsworthy is how this has been covered-up
If I were advising Obama I would've told him to wait until after the election to come out for gay marriage (mind you only 57,000 couples even got gay married out of tens of millions of US gays) because now he'll lose toss-up North Carolina and maybe Florida and Iowa and Ohio (and possibly Virginia too) with that stance - because Romney is such a pathetic candidate Obama will still squeak out an electoral win with 271 electoral votes in a worst-case-scenario ... as for the Nabka, absolutely O should wait until after the election - there is not enough gay money to substitute for the lower amount of jewish money this election cycle
so, the desire for freedom is what keeps you from being free?
boy, those zio-crazies really have gone off the deep end with their propaganda
I can't believe a single inch of space was wasted on this important site about a show as execrable as Girls ... if you want a good analysis of it, read the brilliant Eileen Jones over at ExiledOnline
if lies told by neocons were subject to indictments and grounds for arrest, there would literally be hundreds of people in handcuffs taking perp-walks and thousands of indictments and we'd forget the Gang-of-Four and Chicago Seven and instead be talking about the Neocon Thirty
Many years ago Bill Maher said the policy of the US military against openly gay soldiers was stupid and if there had been a gay soldier with clipboard and a velvet rope in front of the US Embassy in Lebanon the truck with the explosives would never had even gotten past that velvet rope and observant queen let alone anywhere near the building - he was onto something ... gay people (most) have gaydar - which clues them in before everyone else as to what is going on, what is cool, what will be in fashion, and how to arrange things in a pretty way ... the serious message in this new spoof video is that war is the realm of thugs and brutes and what is being contemplated by these thugs and brutes is truly insane
ha-ha, zio-crazies fighting on all sides now - even rear-guard actions after-the-fact ... Simon and 60 Minutes are highly credible and the report is out there - it is fact - and no zio-spin will change it or mitigate it ... the hubris of zio-leaders thinking they still drive the machine shaping public perception
couldn't take the heat
Netanyahu and Barak are now boxed in - any attack upon Iran will be theirs and theirs alone and will result in losses no israeli leader could survive politically ... they are done ... the israeli leaders behind the scenes need to position a responsible adult into power over there and soon - time's a-wasting to make the deal for two states
hindsight is rose-colored 20/20 sometimes ... as with Beinart's account of pre-1967 israel ... the horrors of today's israel can be traced back directly to people and policies then
this is one of those examples where a writer exceeds his subject matter - the post essentially says Einstein was willingly used - for a time - to use he celebrity status to raise money, okay
... but we got a lot of high-highfalutin over-analyzing of the lame movie Inception (in my IMDB review I called it Insiption) and some ultra-arrogant claim by this guy Blumenfeld that he could somehow plant a thought/belief into Einstein's brain (yeah, and Schrödinger's cat is writing Shakespeare in that box until we look)
not sure the reason for this article
the friends and allies of israel: hmmm ... I know they have them ... some leaders in Azerbaijan? ... some deposed leaders in Georgia? ... some old South Africans? ... arms dealers? ... ecstasy smugglers? ... people who like bribes? ... all right, that's too easy - israel does have "friends" in the diplomatic sense in that they can and do make deals around the world - the U.S. is its only "ally" but I think we're more of a "host" to a parasite
the Obama administration has outplayed israel on Iran ... it may well be a fait accompli at this point ... Netanyahu (in a good interview by Erin Burnett) said "no Swiss cheese" and "contiguous" regarding a Palestinian state, and so many senior and important israeli officials have thrown cold water on Netanyahu and Barak's Iran plans that public perception inside and outside of israel is now that this is a project of these two men and their supporters, not the nation of israel, not the friends and allies of israel, and certainly not the United States ... Iran is contained, making a deal, off-the-table ... if israel were to attack the blowback is all on them now (meaning Netanyahu, Barak, and their supporters) ... oh, and Kimmel rocked it
this story is getting big play everywhere (that I read) - it is a big deal - a direct challenge to the credibility of the Netanyahu-Barak coalition and their incessant histrionics about the non-threat of a currently contained Iran - in my view it is an ugly replay of the Balkans: greedy, self-important power-hungry leaders stoking war to save and expand their personal power ... it is not about zionism, some threat to jews or israel's security ... the settlers and israel's racism and militarism are the biggest threat to israel's security
once the peace deal finally is brokered it will be 14,000 zionist families a month that must vacate Palestinian land to go back to israel - there will be just desserts for this wrong against Palestinian farmers
Krugman dipped his toe in the water - scalding? freezing? ... I think he'll find it's "just right" and he can not only go near the topic again but weigh in on it regularly and with zeal
Simon just kept feeding Oren rope ... and boy did that nervous, twitchy apparatchik sweat as he wrapped it round and round his own neck! Oren's meltdown was was gold - pure gold! More evidence fascistic, racist zionism is on the ropes and history is surely going to sweep it aside
if Simon wanted to to a 'hatchet job', he need merely have inserted video of Jews spitting on Christians (a daily occurence) - it would be straight reporting, and is true - but would have created a visceral emotional reaction in the audience viewing the 60 Min piece ... he did not - Simon, a Jew, is an old-school reporter who actually reports facts and lets them speak for themselves ... Simon scrupulously avoided visceral components to his story and did by-the-numbers fact-conveyance ... it is facts that modern zionist israel fears the most
you know the routine: first ridicule, then hostility ... then, suddenly it all seems so obvious ... zionists seem to relish the hostility part for it has lasted decades
our tax dollars fund violent crackdowns right here in America too ... the answer for israel is so simple: end ALL aid (military/other) to israel and watch how quickly they fall in line with U.S. strategic goals for the region (including creation of a Palestinian state)
fealty to israel over their own country - for shame, U.S. congresspeople - a disgusting legacy going back decades
israel today is like having that gay friend that is in denial - you (and everyone else) know that your friend a real screamer and when they come out of the closet they'll blast the doors off, but for now they refuse to admit what everyone else already knows ... with israel it is clear to the whole world that it must become a secular, pluralistic state and end its endless repression, humiliation and abuse of the locals - the Palestinians
Okay Jodi,
You're a journalist first or you not ... the eyes of the world are upon you
I hope your first piece and those that follow are blistering accounts of what is actually taking place that blow the minds of the hasbarists
Peggy Noonan blithely floats around in her own cloud of smug self-satisfaction and writes from her Upper East Side Manhattan home. Occasionally she is capable of lucid thinking and reasonable conclusions in her writing, but the smug factor never drops below a 9 out of 10
the protesters should wear helmets as their heads will be prime targets for close-range tear-gas canisters fired at them and clubs to the skull too ... of course, the protesters are non-violent, but the desperate regime in israel is panicking that they can no longer control the messaging and can't contain the growing protests against their anachronistic failed state and will beat the protesters because, hey, that's what thug regimes do
Wallace respected the truth in the case of that story (and the videotape didn't lie) - and for a time in journalism truth really mattered ... zionist israel's desperate death-throes as it unwillingly transmutes into a pluralistic society and government sees it doing everything in its power to thwart the truth
there have been at least 2 "accidental" severing of major telecommunications lines that rest at the bottom of the ocean ... it is very likely that these were staged military exercises as part of wargames for a cyber war ... and I fully expect that israel has its hands all over this too ... what is great for all of us who care about human beings, peace, decency, compassion, fairness, and an eventual positive outcome to the I/P conflict is that we know the tighter israel and the zio-mafia squeezes, the more power actually slips through their fingers ... you can take small steps in your daily life to thwart constant monitoring: just use some foil to line your purse/wallet and hide your magnetically-striped cards (credit card, debit, license, Passport, etc) from RFID readers until you must pull them out for use and use a Faraday Cage for your smart-phone too (again, foil will work) - your signals tracking your location, etc. will be blocked until you take it out for use
he's as white-bread and mainstream as it gets ... good for him for risking his career by speaking out ... more please
it's in the public square now - that's the key to the words ... by hook or by crook, the debate is in the open at last
ha-ha, israel
you can't put an idea or a movement into solitary confinement
the more tightly you squeeze, israel and zionists, the more power slips through your fingers
the WOV™ (World's Official Victims) not only demand exclusive rights to victimhood, but a monopoly on the use of the term "victim" - and now that the official propagandists are feeling the heat of decades worth of blowback they go nuclear: any criticism of israel is anti-semitism ... the stink of sheer desperation is unmistakable
the settlers are actual terrorists and once the world coalesces around that idea the focus shifts to their terror activities and how to stop them
I'm sure Mr. Eisen's email, texts and phone are burning up right now with the Fifth Columnists pouncing on him for pulling back the curtain
in the time Goldberg takes to answer Sullivan, israel will murder more children, force more Palestinians from their homes, humiliate thousands at checkpoints, deposit tens (or hundreds) of million$ from the US gov't, and harden its form a little more as a pariah state
I ditched Maddow a while back - she was earnest and articulate and passionate at first but seems to be drinking her own Kool-Aid at this point - she takes herself just a bit too seriously for me now - and she is a wuss on the I/P topic and follows the AIPAC party line
If David Brooks was the kinder, gentler neocon then Rendell is the kinder, gentler Fifth Columnist - yet the work they do is as bad as Bill Kristol and AIPAC
OMG!
spoken like a true human being
don't forget the zionists still have the grand water plan: to take for themselves ALL natural water supplies and only provide Palestinians with desalination plants they can them withhold parts from or bomb
yes, Bibi wants desperately to ruin Obama re-election, and Obama may be outsmarting him - Bibi launches attack and gives O the chance to formally rebuke him/israel and reset US policy in favor of, gasp, US self-interest
er, why are we not arresting Sheldon Adelson for treason (and not for the mobbed-up corrupt mafia gambling stuff) ... isn't it illegal to fund and foment war as a private citizen especially when it is in contravention of stated national security policy goals ??
"deligitimization"
hard not to laugh - look no further than israeli leadership and actions for the cause
You shall not pass!
No, it's not Gandolf screaming and blocking at flame monster from hell, it is the zionists warning these Harvard blue-bloods about who really runs things and they will learn the officially-sanctioned history and politics of I/P from their zio-masters or don't count on being juiced into Goldman-Sachs or other power centers for a job later
only way to achieve it: US troops (perhaps 200,000) invade israel and IMPOSE a peace and declare Jerusalem an "international city" administered permanently by the UN
Beinart is like that friend-of-a-friend you see at cocktail parties and you wonder if he's a secret agent: there is something hard to place and possibly surreptitious about him - perhaps even lubricious ... I find him incredibly hard to trust
Is he taking this new Mondoweiss-inspired tack to discuss openly and honestly the I/P situation and Jewish power in America to propel outcomes in a positive direction for America? For Jews? Or to protect what is left of zionism?
Time will tell. Let us not forget who now owns Newsweek: israeli spy Jane Harmon's husband
israel also sucks untold billion$ from our Treasury every single year ... and they suck the loyalty right out of our Congress ... as they suck t he objectivity right out of our media ... and suck the credibility right out of our foreign policy ... wile sucking the national interest right out of our warmaking policies ... and sucks our privacy and security from our electronic communications (Carl Cameron reports right after 9/11 on Amdocs) ... I guess israel is the Succubus of the United States
Obama essentially had all his brothers (generals) talk to the bully then he popped the bully on the nose once the crowd gathered - it buys him time but he did not thrash the bully, which is what it takes to get the bully to stop bullying
i fully expect the jewish vote for Obama to nearly match what it was in 2008 - at worst, he'll only get 65% of it
when an over-indulged child is finally told no by a parent that has had enough that child often lashes out in a petty, pouty way - not wanting the discipline that is now imposed and hoping to undo it as quickly as possible ... only through sustained discipline does that child get molded to conform to a new, better type of behavior ... the israeli regime, the Likkudniks and their agents and sympathizers here are that crying little child in shocked disbelief that their outrageous conduct will no longer be tolerated
if the Lobby is going to retaliate against Stewart they will do so within months - if they do not then it means they cannot, which would mark yet another milestone in the fracturing of israeli control over the narrative ... Mansour was certainly a good sport, and this humor bit did more to advance the cause of a free Palestine than anything else has in ages
and I bet the truck delivering the dates did not get to travel on the fancy new roads for jews only: separate and unequal = Jim Crow (outlawed in America but funded by Americans and supported with our military for zionists)
small victories
Obama's wordplay the past few weeks in reaction to israeli pressure has been very clever and direct: I don't bluff
What he did today was pull israel out from hiding behind Big Ole US of A and push it out front - a very necessary and LOOOOONG overdue step to putting israel in their place vis-a-vis its relationship with America ... his words put the onus on israel and he MUST stay the course with this approach - all of our intelligence agencies and military leaders are backing him up to make America's self-interest the priority
the language is getting plainer and more direct and more consistent - it is succeeding in eroding and evaporating the carefully-constructed pro-isreal propaganda that has permeated Western media for decades and shaped the public mind in America ... the more tightly israel squeezes its grip around the now-defunct model, the more their power slips away and the better the prospects for reality and peace interceding
drip drip drip
this is how you break the rigid content of the zionist/israel propaganda machine
... more please
I suggest the following as the main line of argument and the main propaganda message against israel and zionism:
You have to be a good neighbor to have good neighbors
then, below that headline the following:
ethnic-cleansing, checkpoints, separate and unequal roads, indefinite detainment, teargas canisters fired at heads, attacks on peaceful flotillas, white phosphorus rained down upon children, attacking ambulances, use of human shields, use of torture, illegal seizure of homes, destruction of farmland, .......
Banning commenters is terrible ... just individually decide against putting up the posts you don't like (it's been done to me and I don't protest - it's your site) ... Jeffrey Blankfort is too important a voice to not have represented here - if he posts on Nazis and so on, just delete those comments ... you can also simply edit the comments before you allow them to go up and put a little disclaimer ... ExiledOnline has fun with this: their moderator chimes in periodically
EMERGENCY Committee for Israel - THE SKY IS FALLING
we're under attack ... we're under threat ... the world is out to get us
gads, this line of crap gets old
Stratfor is a perfect example of the adage War is a racket ... and, boy, are they ever ca$hing in
Obama should let Netanyahu believe he is successfully bullying America right up until the two men do their joint appearance before the press, then Obama should say, "The United States will not be dictated to by Israel. It is U.S. national security concerns that will determine whether any attack upon Iran is warranted. Further, for a nation like Israel - which has committed the greatest act of espionage against America, sold our defense secrets to potential enemies, committed false-flag attacks against us, and proudly declares that they 'control America' is really appalling given the countless billions of dollars we give them every year. I'm making it clear now with this public statement that Israel will abide by U.S. directives and security outlook or they risk a permanent cutoff of all funds from the U.S. and possible insertion of U.S. troops into Israel to impose a peace. That will be all." Not only would Obama still get around 70% of the Jewish vote in the 2012 election, it might spike up to 85% after such a bold stance.
here's my 10:
1. they are agents for a foreign government
2. actively participate in espionage against the US
3. craft their activities in consultation with Mossad
4. use money to influence US elections and policies against US self-interest
5. is essentially an anti-American organization
6. promotes war and death
7. stir up racist propaganda against Palestinians, Arabs and muslims
8. is a spin-off of an organization that was identified as an agent for a foreign government
9. endangers American civilian lives and US soldiers' lives
10. drains US taxpayer funds to subsidize racist, apartheid, murder-state israel
one small victory at a time - we shall overcome the evil that is state zionism
and now it's revealed through the Anonymous/WikiLeaks release of the Stratfor emails that israeli commandos and Kurd agents already destroyed any potential Iranian nuclear weaponization sites back in the Fall of 2011 - so the lies being spewed now about this great threat to israel and the manipulation by them for war with Iran using US blood and treasure is exposed as all the more heinous and wicked
perhaps the learned commenters (many) who post here could enlighten as to why israel is so hell-bent on an attack on Iran - the real reason(s)
the latest infodump by WikiLeaks (via Anonymous hacking of Stratfor emails) shows that Kurdish agents working with israeli commando groups already destroyed by the Fall of 2011 any Iranian facilities capable of nuclear weaponization so there is actually NO threat from Iran vis-a-vis nukes
so what is the real motivation? ... my Armenian friends say that israel and the jews of the region (long before there was an israel) had extensive commercial ties to Iran that were very lucrative and that this is really what is the core issue - re-establishing trade and commercial links with a friendly regime ... anyone else know of anything different or more likely?
"It is a shock that a non-violent action was met with such aggression"
it is the israeli way !!
