      It appears to me that "special interests" are trying to force Obama's hand. "A Jewish official speaking on background said that at least three American Israel Public Affairs Committee officials were present during the entire period when the platform was drafted last month in Minneapolis. Other Democratic and Jewish officials confirmed AIPAC’s participation in the process." -JTA 9/5/2012

      Amy Goodman: Often when there is dissent expressed in the United States against policies of the Israeli government, people here are called anti-semitic. What is your response to that as an Israeli Jew ?

      Aloni: Well, it's a trick, we always use it. When from Europe somebody is criticizing Israel, then we bring up the Holocaust. When in this country people are criticizing Israel, then they are anti-Semitic.

      There are a lot of intelligent informed people who comment here. But the real battlefield to raise the consciousness of the American public are the Yahoo news articles that are read by thousands of people every day. I and some other regulars post there (on the Yahoo home page news listings) daily in an attempt to bring awareness of what you and I already know.

      We're not going to change the opinions of twenty million Evangelicals nor the 7 million Jews. They are NOT the target audience. The 250 million MSM disinformed and uniformed fence sitters are the target audience.

      Please get out there and share what you know. Join the fight. Enough ruminating and preaching to the choir. We, (and America) need you THERE!

      Thanks Henry for the contact info. I sent them both appropriate messages. I reminded Mr Miley that as a member of a race who'd also suffered historic oppression that it was shameful to turn his back on Palestinians also suffering an even worse form of apartheid than blacks in South Africa as Desmond Tutu has noted..
