agreed.
Kathleen - I was listening to the DR show yesterday (although not keeping up with this thread) and heard you (or someone else) mention Mondoweiss. Wonderful job!!! You spoke clearly and I hope some listeners were able to discover this site as a result. Bravo for all your hard work.
And of course, triple bravo for Lucas - Tufts University has a lot to be proud of. You were brave, well spoken and proactive. We can all learn from you.
A local VA area paper is publishing columns by Helen Thomas - the first one just appeared today. Unfortunately the comment section is being overrun by negative comments.

I'd never actually seen the idfspokesperson twitter account. Sad. The account just posted some "photo evidence" of the violence at the "Bil'in Riot"
Is there any coordinated effort to communicate our dissatisfaction with NPR's coverage? I participate in feedback surveys as often as possible - and always mention Scott Simon's intolerable approach to "journalism" when it comes to Israel.
But maybe there is a preexisting coordinated effort I'm missing?
Interesting read. The one thing I came away with after travelling across the Allenby is that you should _always_ lie. I didn't ,(I was heading to the WB for a wedding) and ended up in the interrogation room for hours. [Amongst other things, they wanted to know if I'd been a member of any human rights organizations in college...]
After reading your piece, I think next time I'll ship anything potentially political, throw in a bible, and talk about visiting the holy land of Israel.
Eh? I'm not sure the conspiracy theory approach is helpful here.
I've done the same thing
Dear Ulta -
I wanted to send you an quick note to say that I do not support Ulta stores carrying Ahava products. I used to shop at Ulta, both in Charlotte NC and Silver Spring MD. However, I have stopped making purchases at your company, and will not shop there again until the Ahava products are removed from the shelves. Ahava products are made in the illegal West Bank settlement of Mitzpe Shalem. Please stop supporting Israeli abuses.
Is it fair to assume that Schorr was talking about the world's reaction to Israel, not Israel's reaction to Gaza?
I wouldn't normally have questioned the perceived pro-Israel bias. But a friend of a friend works for the show and has previously mentioned that Schorr is definitely skeptical of typical Zionist propaganda. Scott Simon on the other hand is all IDF all the time. He's arguably the most blatantly pro-Israel/anti-Arab host on NPR.
