Harlem High School Students Feel ‘Harassed’ and ‘Pressured’ by Army Recruiters

on 0 Comments

When will the mainstream media cover the Columbia Spectator’s  fine piece of reporting from A. Philip Randolph High School in Harlem:

"It’s harassment because you can’t walk through the hallway without
them saying things to you," said Clifton Feurtado, 18 and a senior at
A. Philip Randolph, where he says army recruiters approach students in
the halls and sit in the guidance office.

Recruiters also
pressure students, according to Donny Jackson, 17 and also a senior,
who added that they may make remarks such as: "What if you don’t have
enough [money for college]? What’s your plan?"
