Obama begins push for Jewish support in 2012 by touting the ‘unbreakable bond’ between Israel and the US

Still thinking of voting for Barack Obama? This video certainly serves as a useful compendium of the ways he has disappointed those who hoped he would bring “change” to US foreign policy. The JTA reports that David Axelrod “e-blasted” this video out today as Obama’s Jewish campaign began in earnest.

Bibi: “Hi, Mossad? Yeah, listen, hold off on that ithay on arackBay for now, would ya? Super. Thanks.”

It does, doesn’t it? What a epic dissapointment he is.

Nothing surprising here: Obama in this video is simply reciting the credo of American Presidents. In the same way Muslims declare “ashadu ʾan la ʾilaha ʾilla-Allah” and the majority of Christians declare the “I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth”, American Presidents have to declare their loyalty to Israel. It’s that or no presidency.

American politicians are always talking about the unbreakable bonds, rock solid support and shared values of the US and Israel. Just once before I die I’d like to hear an American president (or Republican presidential candidate) talk about his unshakable support for the unemployed blue collar workers of western Pennsylvania. What is it with American politicians? The only time they every sound truly passionate is when they talk about Israel.
