Hundreds of Palestinians, mainly from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), the Palestinian People’s Party (PPP), the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), and other leftist factions, rallied for administrative detainee Hana Shalabi, now on her 19th day of an open hunger strike, outside Gaza’s International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) this morning, ahead of International Women’s Day Thursday.

Meanwhile dozens of Palestinians continued their weekly vigil for family members imprisoned by Israel, demanding that the ICRC fulfill its obligations to protect their rights.
A good job Joe. Keep writing. Keep telling the story. People over there wanna know it.
I don’t get it, why did the court reduce her detention time by two months? Did it just figure that four months is enough time to investigate whatever they want to investigate? I could understand letting her go if she’s harmless, but if she’s not harmless, why reduce the time at all?
That’s not a rhetorical question, does anyone here know the court’s stated reasons?

I don’t know if it’s ‘Heartwarming’, but it’s certainly proper for the left — without subordinating itself politically to them — to join with non-leftist, even rightist, sectors of the colonized population in defense against the imperialist-backed colonizers.
OTOH, it’s pretty bad when leftists join with ‘jihadists’ and other rightists in an alliance with the imperialists, as many did and are doing in Libya and Syria.
