Had the honor of meeting @PresidentPeres today and discussing the close ties between New York City and Israel. pic.twitter.com/1YRmnEKDAH

PS Looks like the Cornell Technion project is de Blasio policy too.
And, was he reading Katie Miranda’s tips to pols on how to accessorize for Israel?
H/t Scott Roth. From his twitter feed, some gags:
Bill, I’m really old, promise you’ll name a street or something after me when I go? Maybe a bridge???
You gave decrepit old Ed Koch the 59th st bridge. Please can I have the Brookyn Brdg? We’re so close
Yes, but Shimon, Ed was mayor of NYC. – Bill I was PM of Isr 2x and I’m Pres for life. Get ur shit together.
This is totally off-topic, but I love the argument made by Raymondo of antiwar.com:
Concerning the accessiories, Perry of Texas may be weak in his knowledge of US departments, but he is definitely good on accessories

unlike Kerry

Rubio seems to have Miranda-approved “twin flags” pin

And this is how politicians look when they do not have to pretend to smile

” a combination of socially conservative Orthodox and the affluent who oppose higher taxes, turned up its collective nose, supporting Republican Joe Lhota in droves and giving de Blasio the lowest percentage of the Jewish vote of any victorious mayoral candidate since 2001..
The heavily Orthodox neighborhoods of Crown Heights and Borough Park were split between the candidates, while Lhota performed strongest in Manhattan Beach and Midwood in Brooklyn, Far Rockaway and Kew Gardens Hills in Queens, and the Upper East Side of Manhattan — all heavily Jewish neighborhoods. De Blasio won all areas of Williamsburg, where chasidic leaders endorsed him early in the campaign, while Lhota won the most heavily concentrated Jewish area of Staten Island.”

Bill de Blasio is such a phony.
The New York Mayor-elect is so progressive and racially blind… except when it comes to the Palestinians. But in fact, this is not so much an anti-Palestinian or anti-Arab prejudice as it is a craven and unprincipled subservience to hardened Zionist supremacists.
America’s elites want to maintain two contradictory positions – on the one hand the principle that all races are equal and on the other hand that the interests of the Jewish state take precedence over the interests of the Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza, Israel-proper, and in the refugee camps.
I am not a flag waving kind of guy, but if the mayor of NY meets with a foreign dignitary then maybe protocol should call for the flag of the US also being shown in the photo along with a foreign flag. This just sends the wrong message. What country does de Balsio represent here?
When the Park Slope Co-op was debating support for BDS, guess which side de Blasio supported?
