‘If you challenge Israel’s security, you challenge America’s security. Plain and simple’ — Clinton

on 20 Comments

Hillary Clinton’s campaign website is progressive on a lot of things. But no change on Israel/Palestine. “If you challenge Israel’s security, you challenge America’s security. Plain and simple.” Israel gets three mentions, Palestine zero. Of course, earlier this week she pledged to fight boycott movement in a letter to a big donor. And she “is moving left on every issue except Israel,” says Haaretz.

Her website says, “America First,” on one page, then puts forward two pro-Israel planks under the rubric, “Defending America and our core values”:

Prevent a nuclear Iran:

America and our allies, especially Israel, will be safer if we end the nuclear threat from Iran. Thanks to the toughest, farthest-reaching global sanctions in history, Iran has been forced to the negotiating table, giving us an opportunity to reach an agreement.

And strengthen partnerships:

From the Middle East and Asia to Europe and our own hemisphere, we will strengthen the essential partnerships that are a unique source of America’s global strength. That’s particularly true of Israel, which is why we will continue supporting Iron Dome and other defense initiatives. If you challenge Israel’s security, you challenge America’s security. Plain and simple.

Nothin about foreign policy on Bernie Sanders’s Issues page.

I don’t think that Sanders has said anything on his foreign policy. There’s a good reason for that.

Poor Hillary! So mixed up. Pretending to be what she ain’t. She wants to act like a strong macho man instead of a strong smart Woman, which could be what is needed to untangle the mess. But she doesn’t have the material to be either.

      Greetings alfa,

After you have given your only begotten daughter to an ideology, you must support it further. This makes her Israel first. She has mixed interests. She must show her loyalty to two nations. She can get her dual citizenship rolling after her stint. Ah, you have served us well. Please accept this stunning flat in one of our luxurious settlements, free of charge, we take care of those that support our quest in conquest of greater Israel.

“Please accept this stunning flat in one of our luxurious settlements . . . ” Why would that surprise us? She’s certainly shown she’s for sale. Problem is, looks like she’d happily sell out her own country. I consider statements like the above “If you challenge Israel’s security, you challenge America’s security. Plain and simple” to border on traitorous. I certainly won’t support her — in fact , I’ll work against her — unless and until she is the only possible option outside of the Republican Clown Car (although she’s close to getting into that clown car herself).

Isn’t it common knowledge that Americans will not elect an un-authentic candidate, ever? What is her message by character? Lying is fine, swift boat subversioning, too-slick advertising, all acceptable. But seeing Hillary will produce the response: No, I’ll vote for that other one.

It was obvious from the start that Clinton was the Israel lobby’s favourite. She’s going to be “better”(read: worse) on Palestine than Obama, who was largely terrible himself(silent on Cast Lead, whined on election eve but did nothing but block UN resolutions in the aftermath, panders to bigots who hate Palestinians etc).

This is why I always cautioned the whole “everything’s going to change in 2016”.
No, we won’t see real political change until the mid-2020s. A Republican won’t be able to win the WH again due to demographics. We’re going the route of California.

On campuses and so on, the change has already really taken place. It’s now mostly about consolidation and spreading it to the liberal media. Congress will be the final stronghold.
Just along with the White House.

“If you challenge Israel’s security, you challenge America’s security. Plain and simple.”

Nobody’s doing that, Hill and the statement is wrong and stupid. US national security IS threatened by US hypocrisy, etc. wrt Israel and her inability to see that is a huge problem for the region and for American citizens. Maybe she should run for PM rather than president of the American people.

She’s lost in Zion and will never change. There’s better choices out there among the Dems, imho. Meanwhile the Repubs are a complete joke and embarrassment again.

    A future Hillary announcement –

“I am shocked! … shocked! … to learn that our good friend and ally Israel … has not been honest about all its intentions and actions. … I’ve been particularly disturbed … to learn of Israel’s casual killing of so many children. … As you may know … I have worked tirelessly for children … my entire career. … I began in politics … working on projects … to improve the lives of children … and have continued on those issues … in my many political roles … as well as my role as mother … and now grandmother. And I want the Muslim community to know … I have always supported equal rights and justice for Palestinians.”

There is something about her that inspires mistrust. As I’ve probably said too often, I was visiting my family in the United States while she was attempting to undo Obama over Jeremiah Wright, which seemed extraordinarily devious. I took against her! Mind you, she is extremely intelligent and I’m sure that the Israelis trust her no further than you could throw a Moabite Stone.

    • just on July 12, 2015, 1:15 pm

imho, Jeremiah Wright was right on many, many things including American exceptionalism and racism.

We need to remind folks that she rebuked Wright’s comments.

“There is something about her that inspires mistrust.”

Yes, unfortunately. Hell hath no fury…. She scares me. I think Hilary has it in for us.

So the security of 318 million Americans is threatened by a challenge to the security of a tiny nation of 8 million people located half way across the globe. That’s one fragile super power.

Israel like US,Arab,Iran, and the rest of the world have entered a new era.
American power to destroy has increased exponentially at the same rate its power to build and sustain have declined . No one gives a shi* to this country anymore but nevertheless knows its violent hegemonicistic goal could at best be avoided or used as the venom of a snake is used and avoided.
Arabs can’t mount combined ideological and milotary resistance to Israel
Israel has lost its allure, glory, and the myth of sainthood and innocence .
China and Russia have understood that trusting US is like trusting a pedophile for babysitting . China and Russia also know that no quarters could be given to US and none could be expected .
Here comes the sanction of Iran. America is trying to salvage whatever it can . America knows that irrespective of a deal, Russia and later China would resume business and lift arms embargo. India and Pakistan would follow suit .
Saudi is looking for oxygen and has decided against their own sermon of ” atheist Soviet” to start exploring business .
Sooner than later the presidential hopefuls won’t have much to offer to Israel for security . Israel has to look for security elsewhere . The Iraq war – the greatest gamble on American lives ever taken have killed the hen that has been delivering golden eggs to Israel for last 70 yrs. their only hope ( US,Israel,Saudi) that IS somehow would grow and protect their interest by maintaining pressure and continuing mayhem against Shias and Chechen rebels/ IS-Taliban would do same against China and Russia . But chances of that deadly combination helping US ,Israel,or Royals of Gulf are remote .
Presidential hopefuls should look for new talking points ,Israel for an isolated caged, canine existence ( fulfilling Dyans Mad Dog vision) and Gulf should get ready for more attacks from within its own people who would demand better future .

Her husband caused the Great Recession of 2008 with his economic policies. In a bind, as President of the USA. she would call upon her husband for economic advice. That is reason enough, IMHO, not to elect her. She does not know the basics.

She is not an independent thinker and she has zero understanding of how federal accounting works.
