This morning President Donald Trump was on Fox News speaking to  about the details surrounding the strike he ordered last week on a northern Syrian airbase in response to a suspected chemical attack on civilians that killed at least 100. The launch of 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles was ordered just after dessert, between bites of “the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake,” Trump said, of his after-dinner treat.

.@POTUS tells @MariaBartiromo he told President Xi about the Missile strikes over “the most beautiful piece of chocolate cake.”

Those strikes killed nine civilians, according to a Syrian news agency, four of them children.

This is not the first time. In February Trump also ordered military action during dinner— in that case, a covert operation in Yemen that killed several civilians, “including some children,” one of them 8-year old Nawar Anwar Al-Awlaki, a Yemeni-American (as well as resulting in the death of Navy SEAL Chief Petty Officer William “Ryan” Owens). From the Times:

Just five days after taking office, over dinner with his newly installed secretary of defense and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, President Trump was presented with the first of what will be many life-or-death decisions…

With two of his closest advisers, Jared Kushner and Stephen K. Bannon, joining the dinner at the White House along with Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and Gen. Joseph F. Dunford Jr., Mr. Trump approved sending in the Navy’s SEAL Team 6…

Vice President Mike Pence and Michael T. Flynn, the national security adviser, also attended the dinner.

P.S. In the interview with Fox, Trump made a gaffe and said he bombed Iraq instead of Syria. “We’ve just launched 59 missiles heading to Iraq,” he told Bartiromo, who corrected,”heading to Syria.”

And this is the guy who calls Assad (I have no brief for Assad) an animal. Most probably Trump also stated he was worse than Hitler which his echo Spicer repeated in front of the world without even the slightest application of critical thinking.

God help us with these fools who have the codes to the Nukes.

There is only one planet in the universe that has chocolate and the way we’ve set up things now is that one careless move can mean the end of chocolate.

Here, some more sweets for Trump:

“This Trump administration official appeared to be suggesting that there was no evidence that a weapons storage site had been hit by a Syrian airstrike. But an internal administration paper on the issue now circulating in Washington, a copy of which Truthout obtained, clearly refers to “a regime airstrike on a terrorist ammunition dump in the eastern suburbs of Khan Sheikhoun. More importantly, the US military allegedly knew in advance that the strike was coming: Russian military officers informed their American counterparts of the Syrian military’s plan to strike the warehouse in Khan Sheikhoun city 24 hours before the planned airstrike, according to the former US official who spoke with Truthout. ”
