Israel kills 3 Palestinian young men in one day

Israel killed three Palestinians on Tuesday in two separate incidents in the occupied West Bank, bringing the total number of Palestinians killed by Israel since the start of this year to 15.

Israel killed three Palestinians on Tuesday in two separate incidents in the occupied West Bank, bringing the total number of Palestinians killed by Israel since the start of this year to 15.

Israeli forces killed two Palestinians, including one teenager, during an overnight raid before dawn on Tuesday in the Jenin Refugee Camp in the northern West Bank.

The two Palestinians were identified by local Palestinian media as 22-year-old Abdullah al-Husari and 18-year-old Shadi Najim. Both suffered from fatal bullet wounds to the head.

The raid on the camp sparked confrontations with residents, who threw stones and Molotov cocktails at the armed Israeli forces. Wafa News Agency reported that Israeli special forces “barged their way into several houses, occupied their roofs and opened fire at local youths protesting the raid.”

At least one Palestinian was arrested from the camp during the raid.

Hours later on Tuesday afternoon, Israeli forces shot dead another Palestinian young man in the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank.

The young man, identified as Ammar Abu Afifa from the nearby Arroub Refugee Camp was shot in the head by Israeli forces near the entrance of the town. The soldiers also reportedly seized Afifa’s body, and have yet to return it to his family.

Afifa’s age, and the circumstances under which he was killed, remained unknown.

The three Palestinian young men killed on Tuesday are some of 15 Palestinians killed by Israel in 2022, all in the West Bank.

Last week, Israeli forces shot and killed 13-year-old Mohammad Rezq Salah, claiming he had allegedly thrown a Molotov cocktail at cars passing on a highway.

“The cost of speaking out for Palestinian rights”

“Are accusations of antisemitism being used to silence support for Palestinian rights?”

“’This effort to specifically redefine anti-Semitism in a way that encompasses basically any criticism of Israel has really gained ground in the last several years,’ says Dima Khalidi, founder and director of Palestine Legal. ‘To the extent that this definition has been codified in laws around the world, including in the US and Europe, especially.’

“While high-profile figures like Emma Watson and Mark Ruffalo have faced intense backlash for speaking up for the rights of Palestinians, it is mainly academics and college students who face the most retaliation on campuses across the United States and Europe.

“’It forces students and professors to really self-censor in profound ways,’ says Barry Trachtenberg, a historian and professor of Jewish history at Wake Forest University.

“’This is about people’s reputations, about people’s jobs, about the way that we can operate, and talk, in a civil society and it’s just the tip of the iceberg, right? When we look at the ways that Israel and Israel advocacy groups here in the US have attacked Palestine advocacy through harassment campaigns,’ Khalidi says.

“But there has been a shift in questioning the official narrative on Israeli government practices, especially within the Jewish community in the US. ‘Because the gap between the promise of Israel and the reality of Israel has just grown so great, and as younger generations are paying more attention to questions of racism in America, systematic oppression of people of colour, of engaging in issues of queer rights, people recognize that there can’t be this exception for Israel,’ says Trachtenberg.

It is a slow genocide….

“Palestinian and international rights groups have long condemned what they see as a policy of shoot to kill and excessive use of force.
B’Tselem, an Israeli rights group, said it had recorded 77 Palestinian deaths at the hands of Israeli forces in the West Bank last year. More than half of those killed were not implicated in any attacks, it added.
Earlier this month, Amnesty International said in a new report that Israel was carrying out “the crime of apartheid against Palestinians” and must be held accountable for treating them as “an inferior racial group”.

American tax payer money at work. Hope Pelosi and those shameful Democrats who visited the apartheid nation, are proud they support it.

The “resistance” culture has changed little over time. I don’t understand. Can someone make a case for throwing things? Where are the photographs?
