Adelson in Israel regrets to have worn uniform of the US armed forces and how he wisheed his son will join the IOF to be a sniper. Why put the interest of ISISrael ahead of your own country?

    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph January 5, 2018 at 8:50 am

Outstanding article by Philip Weiss. Adelson is a nothing more than a "kapo" and ungrateful American citizen. In a talk to an Israeli group in July, 2010, Adelson said he wished he had served in the Israeli Army rather the U.S. military–and that he hoped his young son will come back to Israel and “be a sniper for the IDF,” a reference to the Israel Defense Forces. (YouTube video of speech)

“I am not Israeli. The uniform that I wore in the military, unfortunately, was not an Israeli uniform. It was an American uniform, although my wife was in the IDF and one of my daughters was in the IDF … our two little boys, one of whom will be bar mitzvahed tomorrow, hopefully he’ll come back– his hobby is shooting – and he’ll come back and be a sniper for the IDF,” Adelson said at the event.

“All we care about is being good Zionists, being good citizens of Israel, because even though I am not Israeli born, Israel is in my heart,” he said toward the end of his talk. Talking about disloyalty!

Thank you Jonathan Ofir ! You truly represent the Jewish conscious with your writing. This is by no means the first peace of your I read in defense of the Palestinians. I wish to nominate for Israeli Man of the Year - 2017. Once again, thanks for standing up for peace, freedom and justice for Palestinians.

    • Jon66 asked a the naive question to give him a proof where the term 'martyrdom operation is used when referring to someone killed NOT as part of sucide bombing or other attack?

The Marh 11, 1978 martyrdom operation of Dalal Mughrabi and her other 10 Palestinian and Lebanese freedom fighters comes to mind.

Their goal was to attack the ISISraeli Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv or the Knesset and to demand the freedom of Palestinian prisoners (like 4 of the Tamimi women) held in israHell.

Like Ahed Tamimi, Dalal Mughrabi have a choice to be assigned and work at the PLO office in Italy. She turned that luxurious offer down . Asked her mom to fix her her favorite food, gave her pistol as gift to her father and left on the that day without telling them where she was going.

She and her comrades-in -arm did not have suicide west. 8 of them fell as martyrs in a shootout with the IOF, Two survived. As Dalal laid down motionless due to a severe injury, the leader of IOF unit in-charged of the operation on the day was no other than Former ISISraeli prime minister Ehud Barak. He told his subordinates, leave her for me. He then empty his magazine into her body, lift her up by her hair and have his picture with her body as trophy.

I share Annie Robins views. the IOF and the illegal Jewish settlers are illegal and nothing more. They are criminal trespassers. So, the are a fair targets. They are lucky they are not in the US. Under US law, you have the right to shoot them dead. It is called Make my day Law.

A better question for jonn 66 to pose would be, " who is responsible for luring Jews from all over the world into Palestine, put them on a stolen lands and in the middle of war zone? Blaming Palestinians for the violence is like blaming a woman for kicking her rapist in the stomach.

    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph February 20, 2017 at 9:07 am

@ Boris, no country around the world recognizes Israel sovereignty over Jerusalem. Not even the USA, Canada or any of the European nations. In other word, Israel should never have jurisdiction over Jerusalem. If a young Jewish American is treated that way, imagine what is like for a Palestinians who hold duel-nationality. Israel is acting as the bully of the Middle East.

  • Palestinians express mixed reactions to Trump's shift from two-state solution
    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph February 17, 2017 at 8:17 am

Bravo Sheren Khalel for such insightful article. President Trump said so much without saying anything substantial at all in a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Israel. President Trump blamed the Palestinians for hating the Israelis as the reason of lack of peace. My friend Hanan Chehata from London, England responded eloquently to Trump's bizarre claim in a Face Book post by stating:

"Can you imagine swapping the word Palestinian for any other native people in this context and saying that the native community has to get rid of the hate for their occupiers and complaining that the native community is taught to hate their occupier from a young age... without addressing the occupation itself.'

Additionally, President Trump failed to talk about the hate taught to Israelis from a young age as part of their school program. What about the Beitar soccer club that has never signed a player from Israel's Arab population who are actually Palestinians. Bietar club has a long history of racism among its supporters, with a favorite chant being "Death to Arabs". Israelis cleverly use the term Arabs when speaking of Palestinians as a way of not recognizing them.

Perhaps the president should have also eluded to how illegal Jewish settlers celebrate during weddings by jumping and dancing while carrying guns and knives and stabbing pictures of an 18-month-old Palestinian child, Ali Dawabsheh. Baby Ali was burned to death in a July 3, 2015 arson attack that also killed his parents in West Bank village. The only survivor was Ali's brother, 6 year old Ahmad who is still not fully recovered.

I wonder if President Trump is aware that the current Israeli justice minister, Ayelet Shaked published on Face Book while serving as an Israeli law maker, a call for genocide of the Palestinians. She declared that "the entire Palestinian people is the enemy” and justifies their destruction, “including its elderly and its women, its cities and its villages, its property and its infrastructure.” It was a call for genocide because she called for the slaughter of Palestinian mothers who give birth to “little snakes."

That is the Israeli hate President Trump ignored. The continued Israeli military occupation of Palestine is the reason for absence of peace.

  • Israeli gov't used my image for propaganda purposes without my consent

Using the photograph of Mukarram AbuAlouf for a propaganda purposes by Israel, Miss
AbuAlouf rihts were violated. Israel is trying to tell the rest of the world that Gazans and IDF are just a happy family. Who can dispute this genuine smile by young Palestinian woman along with one IOF who may have killed many Palestinians and Gaza during her military tour of duty. Plus, could you believe that one member of most immoral army in the world is helping a young Palestinian lady by dragging her heavy luggage? Israel was founded in 1948, was built on stolen Palestinian lands and is based ever since on lies, theft and deception. Thank you Mondoweiss for posting the story of Mukarram AbuAlouf and good luck to her in her study in the good ol' USA.

I just wonder if Susan Abuelhawa told the Israeli interagators what she told U.S. National Security Advisor, Susan Rice; " You can kiss my 100% Palestinian a$$!".

    • Susan Abulhawa is the person responsible for putting smiles on the faces of Palestinian children in 58 Palestinian refugee camps in Palestine and throughout the neighboring Arab countries, through Play Ground for Palestine project. That is the reason the shithole in the Middle East denied Susan permit to enter her homeland in Palestine. No more aid to ISISrael!

Few days ago a 47 disloyal Republican Senators signed an open letter to Iran over the nuclear negotiation expressi ng their strong objection to US president policy and to any mutual agreement signed by him during his tenure. If undermining your president ability to conduct official business is not a treason, I do not know what is.

Why don't these Senators get out of the U.S. if they can't be loyal citizens and put America' s interest first instead of the interest of their campaign contributors?

Perhaps North Korea would be to their liking. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un would be happy to teach them a lesson about disloyalty and treason by having them thrown into a cage filled with starving dogs and eaten alive.

As a USMC veteran and activist, Dave Evans, succinctly pointed out in the past:

“Anyone who had not sworn an oath for peace could reasonably conclude that the US should be threatening to attack Israel, not Iran!”

It’s about time Americans did something to prove they were the Masters, not the Slaves.

The capital of America is Washington, not Tel Aviv.

P.M. Satanyahu, eat your heart out!

    • Lets not forget that Israeli air and sea forces attacked the USS Liberty in international waters off the coast of Egypt for two hours on August 8, 1967. This took place on midsummer day with raised American flags and large English letters painted on the ship. 34 sailors were killed and 174 injured.

On May 2012, the Iranian Navy foiled an attempted pirate attack on a US cargo ship in the Gulf of Oman. The Iranian warship arrived following a distress call from the ship. The pirates fled upon the arrival of the Iranian Naval ship. No thanks to IsraHell!

    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph July 14, 2015 at 10:16 am

@ Kay24, that is hilarious! Wish you could provide us the links. We will have a kinder and gentler Middle East on the day Satanyahu hit the bucket.

    • Just for the record, Israel is reported to possess up to 300 nuclear missiles aimed at Arab and European capitals. Some can even hit US cities.Iran has no such weapons and has repeatedly said it does not wish to have them, this being in contravention of basic Islamic principles.

According to polls conducted in Western European countries about which countries poses threat to world peace, most Europeans picked up Israel as # 1, not Iran or North Korea.

P.M. Satanyahu should put it rest and abide by the rules of civilized nation instead of being the bully of the Middle East.

    • Israel has for the last eight years imposed an illegal and inhumane siege over 1.8 million Palestinians in Gaza, causing unnecessary death, pain, and suffering. In contrast, Iran has sent aid and provided comfort to the besieged Palestinians — the very same thing America did to the Germans during the Berlin Airlift. It is time to boycott ISISrael!

    • Iran has not illegally developed nuclear weapons, whereas Israel has developed an illegal secret nuclear weapons program that has produced hundreds of nuclear warheads.

Iran has signed the UN Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel has refused to sign it.
Israel was the first to introduce nuclear weapons to the M.E.
Warmongers like PM Satanyahu should suck it up and stop threating to bomb Iran every time the wind blow!

  • 3,000 killed in Yemen in first 100 days of Saudi-led bombing, half civilians

That is right ritzl! If a Saudi prince like Alwaleed Ben Talal offers a Bentley British luxury car to each of 100 Saudi fighter pilots following the killing 1000 Yemeni children, that would qualify him and his country as an evil, savages and barbarians.

I could add few more countries to your redefined list of Axis of evil!

@ bintbiba, I guess today is my lucky day. I was planning to write an article today about America's # 1 Islamopheob, US Rep. Peter King, but ended spending the whole day with you on this message board. I did enjoy reading two of Heike Schotten articles today as well.

    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph July 13, 2015 at 8:33 pm

@ bintbiba , Take it from this veteran Palestinian writer, Princess's comments add insult, subtract pleasure, multiply ignorance and divide attention.

    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph July 13, 2015 at 8:16 pm

The troll who called her princess is more than likely lives in an illegal Jewish settlement on the Israeli Occupied West Bank. She have shown no mercy or fraction of compassion when she talked about the killing n suffering of Palestinian, especially in Gaza, where .18 million living under illegal and inhumane siege imposed by both ISISreal and the Government of Gen. SISI,

Princess's heart is an empty whole!

    • Thank you Just and Bornajoo! For a while, I thought I was talking to myself and felt like I was a branch cut off a tree. I will not turn a request down from anyone who stands for peace and justice and supports free and independent Palestine. I think the only person on this page that I know is Miss Anne Ronbbins. Anne and I once lived in the same city and 2) I exchanged email with her regarding Rachel Corrie several years ago. I have to add this site is more pro Palestinians and more pro Muslims than all Arab news organizations combined.

    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph July 13, 2015 at 5:49 pm

I am all for free speech no matter how bigoted the views are. No one like being stabbed in the back. Instead being grateful to be a none Muslim writer for defending Islam and Muslims, princes Disgrace chose to insult the author and spit at her face. This is beyond me! Anyway, bad rubbish good ridden!

    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph July 13, 2015 at 5:38 pm

Heike, thanks for tip about your other article on It is another home run.

When it comes to Bill Maher view on Islam, Palestinians or women, Maher adds insult, subtracts pleasure divides attention and multiplies ignorance. Keep up the good work.

    • Back to the original article by Heike Schotten, I will never forget when Andrew Adler, "Atlanta Jewish Times" publisher and editor when he authored an article suggesting the need to "order a hit" on President Obama on Jan. 2012. He argued that the VP will take over and will allow Israel to wipe off her enemies. The day after, I called the US Secret Service, if Mr. Adler is arrested or and being investigated over his death threat on the President's life? The man on the phone, said in response, " Sir, this matter takes time!" End of the conversation. How many US citizens (Christians & Muslims) are serving time behind bars for making a phony threat on the president's life? Ask google! Heike Shcotten made a very valid argument about the hypocraciy and double standards that existed through our government when it comes to crimes and terrorism committed on US soil. This is beyond comprehension.

    • I agree whole heartedly with the author. Three years ago, I personally received a death threat over the phone hours after an article of mine published. It was titled, " attack Israel, not iran".
The call spoke with heavy British accent and made a direct threat on my life. I was able to record the 10 minutes phone call. Immediately called the police and reported to the local fbi office in my city. I did a search on the caller my self and found out he lives in Spokane, Washington and he has also threatened two other US citizens who were editors of pro Palestinianonline magazines. In addition, the editor of USS Liberty radio talk show was threatened by the same person in a Californian hotel in person. More could be read on subject by googling " adl death threat". The point I wanted to make is, when I contacted the fbi office again for an update, I was told don't call us , we will call you. As far as Department of Homeland Security which I also contacted, send me a note that they forwarded my info and complaint to Spokane District Attorney. This is nearly three years ago, and I have not get a call, or a message from any law enforcement agency I contacted. Forget I was a 20 year old retired veteran of the USAF. That made no difference. Israel and the Jewish lobby is holding our government by the throat. When it comes to Israel, all US public official from the president all the way down have not guts and they get jelly bean legs. Even SpongBob have more guts than them.

    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph July 13, 2015 at 12:18 pm

Thanks Annie! You said it as it is! No beat around the bushes. Straight to the heart of the subject.

    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph July 13, 2015 at 12:15 pm

Princess is a Palestinian as much as Jonathon Pollard is a loyal and patriotic American!

    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph July 13, 2015 at 12:11 pm

While reading Princess's comment, another princes name sprang in mind. That is princess Mariam of Bahrain royal family. She was a princess who fell in love with a US Marine stationed in Bahrain in 1999. He managed to sneak her out of the country illegally on a fake military document.

They get married in the US after she applied for political asylum. She claimed her life will be in danger if she returned home to her family. Two weeks after 9/11 attack, they split and she returned home. Luckily their short marriage did not produce any children. Their divorce was final in Los Vegas exactly on their Fifth wedding anniversary.

Last time I checked, Princess Mariam who disgraced her family and country and embarrassed the US Department of Defense was not murdered in so called honor killing upon her return, nor was she beheaded.

Commenter Princess gave aid and comfort to ISISrael. Plain and simple.

    • Mahmoud El-Yousseph July 13, 2015 at 12:01 pm

Hey princess Disgrace, I am Palestinian too living in the Zionist Occupied United States of America!

Speaking of non violent resistance, I feel you comment is an insult to the memories and sacrifices of Rachel Corrie, Tistan Anderson, Furkan Dogan, Tom HUrndall and Amy Henochowiczy who were either shot in cold blood by IOF and or maimed for life as in the case of Amy Henochowicz who lost one of her eyes during a peaceful protest in Jerusalem against Israel's naval raid on Gaza-bound Turkish Flotilla in 2010. A war crime and a massacre in which 10 peace activist lost their lives , including a 19 yrs. old American citizen Furkan Dogan.

You strike me as a troll who is getting paid by the Israeli Foreign Ministry for the sole purpose of sabotaging sites like this and to act as a mouth piece for the Israeli propaganda machine.

    • @ princess, If I was not fasting and fear to lose my good deeds and pick your bad one, I would have called you with more appropriate names. Palestinians have tendency not to use fake name and aliases when they speak out. Unless you have a legitimate reason to protect your safety and those of your loved one, such as Palestine Defense Minister "Abu Obeida".

Blaming Hamas for Israel war crime and genocide in Gaza last year is like blaming a woman for punching her rapist in the face.
