Freedom puts to risk one’s truths and lies, and most of us have both. It places what we say beyond our control to quite perhaps become something else; the truth is not in I but in the world I shall never know. Something 50 years past does not incite. It has not lurked till this year in wait to strike. It may be used by others to incite a moment, but used is the word, for many ends. If I lock up a child to prevent it from becoming a monster do not I risk thereby monstrosity, child’s and mine? Words our are children too.
