Prediction: Flight 93 Movie

I’m not going. Are you? I can’t believe anyone who’s not a family member will go to this movie. I guess I understand why it’s important to them: they’re still coming to grips with a loved one’s death, maybe haven’t even been able to picture it in their minds, and need to. But I’ve been picturing it only too well, especially when I fly, and also, it feels like we’ve been living in that moment politically for nearly five years, nonstop.

Five years—think about it, our parents and grandparents who lived through Pearl Harbor got released from that moment quicker than we have from 9/11. Their war ended within four. Bush will stretch this war out for the rest of his Presidency.

I think this film is going to do nothing at the box office.
