The very smart Zionist Bernard Avishai is also predicting a Netanyahu government that thumbs its nose at Obama and gets out firehoses on the Israeli Arabs. Avishai offers two other scenarios, including a Livni government with Arab parties' backing — which will never happen; they don't make coalitions with Arabs, thereby exposing the poverty of the Israeli democracy, as I frequently note on this site– and a national unity gov't with Livni and Netanyahu, maybe rotating the prime ministership.
Bottom line: Colonies, colonies, colonies. No progress on Palestinian self-determination. (Thanks to Jeff Blankfort)

Syria the key to mideast peace?

"Syria the key to mideast peace?" Only if they are part of something like Abdullah 2/5-state solution.
get ready for Rav Ovadia Yosef to make a complete clown of himself, demanding preposterous sums for his corrupt yeshivot, whimsical formulations regarding foreign policy, etc. This will tie up Livni for weeks while the real work goes on elsewhere.
I wouldn't say so. It appears that Rav Yosef is nothing like Rowan.
