WTF? Every bit as fevered and incoherent as Glen Beck’s own contribution at the end.

  2. Chaos4700 says:

    I love the internet. :D

Incidentally, is anyone else amused by the fact that people like Witty and WJ are stuck with siding with Glenn Beck (Glenn Beck! Glenn friggin’ Beck!!!) than with Keith Olbermann (who actually interviewed a former US official who was attacked by the IDF in the flotilla?)

  3. Avi says:

The difference in artistic quality between this ingenious video and the bland cliche of a video that celebrated the attack on the Mavi Marmara to the tune of We Are the World highlights the contrasts between the two camps; there is the open minded vs. the myopic, the universalist vs. the ideologue, the free-thinker vs. the follower, and the fair and honest vs. the liar and bully.

  4. Colin Murray says:

… cyborg al qaeda from the future snorting blow … ROFLMA

  5. Oscar says:

There was so much going on in this amazing video, it requires multiple viewings. The Max Headroom clip set the tone for all the IDF talking heads spooging hasbaraganda following the flotilla murders.

That bit about Streisand was hilarious.

    • Oscar says:

Shout out to tree — yeah, the Rickroll was the perfect closer — the viral power of the Internet. I’m half surprised we didn’t get a “Chuck Norris fact” on how much Chuck loves Israel!

    Lyrics:

You had them on your wireless saying, ‘Death to Jews’
You sliced & diced & circumcised & claimed Fair Use
600 Turks were singing ‘Girl U Know It’s True’

YouTube & Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, bit.ly
You spammed them all & then you even posted 3
    Casual Encounters on CraigsList NYC

    IDF spokesmen
    Who freakin’ trained them?

Bloggers came & broke your heart

Now you tweet your new surveillance video
Cyborg Al-Qaida from the future snorting blow
set to the theme music from Hawaii Five-O

    He had a knife and
Wait a second: that’s Barbra Streisand

You couldn’t find my SD card
You’re in a bind says Michael Sfard

The Shin Bet mined my SD card
& played it back on NPR
    Born & raised in Arkansas
I brought 6 nukes for the Hamas

    We are the Mavi Marmara
    You are the sloppy hasbara

Haha, nice. My only quibble: Not enough credit given to Max Blumenthal. He busted a lot of the lies wide open in a very timely manner by going straight to the source. Now that’s journalism.

  8. What a delight!! It made my day; which had been bad, bad, bad. Someone hacked into my email account…everyone thinks I’m in Wales and need $1,500
Could use the money but I am not in Wales.
The video is brilliant. I wish it had been longer, Thanks for the treat!

  9. did someone hack Mondoweiss? Yours is the first comment in almost 4 hours.

  10. Avi says:

Who else is getting his comments moderated? I’ve gotten that message three times so far.

Did Phil institute it when I asked why he continued to give RW the time of day?

Has this become a personal issue now?

If that’s the case — I’ll wait for clarification — but if it’s truly the reason then it’s odd that Witty was not moderated all the while he was lobbing insults at Phil’s choice of headlines, choice of words, etc. etc.

I don’t know. I’m a confused as to why my posts are moderated.

    • I was shocked to see my first this morning but I thought, fair enough, I shouldn’t have put that one “f…off” to witty in total exasperation at his incessant provocations….Maybe it’s a good thing that we reconsider what we think is “postable” or not….Mea culpa…

      • Avi says:

I guess my response to the moderator approving my post above should be “Well played, sir, well played”.

        Put another way, “Touché”.

      • MHughes976 says:

I too thought for a moment that I was being personally reprimanded in some way. Then I saw that the pace at which messages were arriving from all quarters had slowed somewhat.
Moderation makes quick-fire debate rather difficult and quick-fire debate is sometimes very enlightening. Moderation must also raise the cost of running the site – which reminds me that I must try again to make paypal work for me.
I rather hope that the moderation regime can be withdrawn after a while once the trolls have lumbered back to their caves clutching their stone clubs.

  11. Two images of Hitler- one: newsreel footage and the other when someone interviewing Avigdor Lieberman has on his screen two photos: Lieberman’s and Hitler’s and the question: find the differences. In general this is a silly, but useful attack on Israeli hasbara, but the inclusion of the two images of Hitler put it into a different category, one that I don’t have a title for yet.

  12. Citizen says:

Internet killed Israeli PR, internet killed Israeli PR. I love the wind-up: Beck sincerely saying he compared two contrasting videos and concluded Israel
makes the stronger case. Beck! BTW, Beck has finally discovered the Weimar Era and is sharing his standard half-baked idea with his devoted audience, who of course never even hear the term “the Weimar Era” before. Can’t wait for his blackboard paste up connecting the dots with our own current economic crisis

  13. My posts have been moderated for over a month.

I thought it was odd that your posts, Avi, that have been often abusive of other posters here were somehow not moderated.

That the moderation policy seems to have been based on ideology, is NOT a good sign for the stated purposes of the blog.

I do not “troll”. I comment directly on the content in original posting and some on subsequent commentary. If you object to me commenting on the effects or logic (or lack) in the original posting, then you are seeking to censor, more than to discuss.

  14. Just in from Abunimah:
“Israel apparently blocks hilarious “Internet killed Israeli PR” YouTube video.
“Israel appears to have banned access to the hilarious song and video “Internet killed Israeli PR” by MDT (Minor Demographic Threat) which makes fun of Israel’s shoddy hasbara (propaganda) after its attack on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla in which it killed 9 peace activists and injured dozens of others.”

  15. It’s also blocked in Germany right now…
