Just a quick site update to say there are some new and exciting ways to follow Mondoweiss, wherever you are.
While you have always been able to follow Mondoweiss on Facebook and Twitter, we have now redesigned the site to be easier to read on smartphones. As an iPhone addict myself, I'll admit I had a bit of a vested interest in figuring this out (I think Phil still uses this). Check it out by visiting the site on your phone's web browser and let us know what additional features would be helpful.
Also, please sign up for our new and (greatly) improved newsletter. You can find the sign up box in the right-hand column of the site or from the Facebook page. In addition to receiving all the posts you might miss, it will also be the place to get other site-related news, like upcoming events in DC and New York and other special promotions. There will some exciting site updates in the upcoming months and the newsletter will be the best place to hear it first.

Make Mondoweiss available on Kindle.( e reader)
Good idea, I’ll look into it.
Yes, I’ve been following on my brand new andriod (way better than your lame-o iphone) and I appreciate the nice clean layout and how easy it is to view it and comments from it. But, I don’t see an option to leave comments, but then, I guess that I can always wait till I am in front of an actual computer to leave a comment. Anyway, thanks for making my addiction easier.
First off, whatever to your iphone hater comment. Second, you should be able to comment on the site. The trick might be that you have to login in first. You can find the login under the menu in the top right corner of the page (an arrow pointed down). Let me know if this works.
Adam,
I’ve been following on my android phone for a while now. I was also wondering how to leave the comments, and I will try what you have said.
Another thing you should work on is the layout of the comments.
Please let me know if it works. We will work on the comments.
For those of you who have an iPad, I highly recommend downloading the free app Flipboard, and adding Mondoweiss’ Twitter feed. It converts the Twitter feeds into an interactive newsmagazine format that looks a bit like Time magazine.
Adam, it would be great if the site uses more photos and illustrations — looks phenomenal on Flipboard.
Oscar, I hear you, we need to have more photos. Please send me an iPad, I’d love to see what the site looks like. :)
adam, i noticed the comments section when in mobile mode, does not display the thread of the comments section chronologically. That was a few weeks back, but I will check it again.
Chu, you’re right, the comment threading is not working yet. That’s an issue we’re aware of and working on. I hope to get it resolved soon.
Adam, just saw that the threading is working on the iPhone app for Mondoweiss. Pretty neat.
An aside, I just finished reading Alan Hart’s book Vol 1 “Zionism: The Real Enemy of the Jews”.
I recommend the following book, “The Great Theft” by Khaled M. Abou El Fadl. So far a great read.
Adam, didn’t Mondoweiss have a recommended reading list? It would be great to have that as a sidebar.
lol I like how the old cell phone picture says “BANG-ON” on it.
Yeah, I LOL.
Yes I’ve been following Mondoweiss on my Iphone for a qhile now and love the layout. I too have found that positng a comment was sporadic, appearing one day and gone the next.
The feature I miss most is the ability to add pictures in comments section. We had that before, especially during operation Cast Lead, and I was able to bring dozens of photographs from the conflict to Mondoweiss.
That would be excellent Eva..I know Echo (JS.Kit) offers this facility..I use it myself..It really makes a difference and only costs $10 a year.
Echo is an SEO and content control disaster. Why so many people are foolish enough to want to store their content on external services amazes me every week.
Image upload is possible however within the CMS. It’s a bit of a burden. Not sure it’s what we want to work on right now.
On the other hand Eva, there is no reason that you can not put in an image from an external service into your comment though. Just upload and use the img tag.
ok
