ADL suggests that U.N. sponsors terrorism– the film ‘Miral’

miralThe Anti Defamation League has posted the caricature at left of the movie poster for the film Miral, the dramatization of the Palestinian side of the conflict that premiered at the U.N. the other night. The original poster is below. The ADL wrote to the president of the U.N. General Assembly to protest the screening. Excerpt:

“It is particularly unfortunate that the film is scheduled to be shown on the day following the funerals of five Israeli victims who were murdered in a heinous attack in which it was reported that the Palestinian terrorist group Al Aksa Martyrs Brigades has claimed responsibility,” [Abe Foxman of ADL] added. “The terrorist murder of five members of the Fogel family is a stark reminder of the truly devastating nature of the conflict and the toll of human lives it has taken.” The League urged the U.N. president to reconsider the screening.

Writes my tipster: The ADL seems to be intimating that the United Nations is a terrorist organization — or that the question should be seriously raised. This is vulgar considering the long suffering of UN employees at the hands of terrorist organizations, including the assassination in 1948 of UN Peace Mediator Count Folke Bernadotte by the terrorist LEHI (“Fighters for the Freedom of Israel”).  Moreover, it was the UN itself that voted in 1947 in favor of the establishment of the state of Israel.
