Happy new year (except for Giants fans)

The idea for this greeting card came from a birthday novelty gift sent to me by my good friend Dubai Pauli B. Pauli gets his nickname from the many years he has spent teaching English in the Persian Gulf.  He is currently considered the best thoroughbred horseracing handicapper in Finland.

The photograph is of the author wearing his new New York Jets kippah.

The Hebrew says, “To a Good and Sweet Year” and the closing reads, “In peace, Ira.”

There will be peace in the Middle East before the Jets win the SuperBowl, Glunts!

Belichick 4 LIFE!!!

That is an awesome Kippah, Ira. We need more peaceniks like you, brother. Too many “on the left” are disdainful of sports, not realizing the HUGE organizing potential among athletes and local sports communities. Gotta be people of the people.

Please move on and away. Today is Sabra and Shatila day.
