Some potential recruits for the job. Video posted by the S.F. Bay Area Pro Israel Counter Terrorist Unit: “Your one stop source for videos & photos showcasing the defenders of Israel confronting radical leftists & Islamo fascists activities in the San Francisco Bay Area.”

Palestinian human rights have you down? Then this might be the job for you! The Jewish Community Relations Council in San Francisco is hiring a Counter-BDS Grassroots Organizer. From the job description:

Position Objective: The ideal candidate will assist in the design and implementation of a comprehensive grassroots education and advocacy program for campuses and the community, utilizing the Bay Area laboratory to advance national efforts to counter the boycott/divestment/sanctions movement.

Responsibilities: The Counter-BDS Grassroots Organizer will focus on defining and addressing the scope of BDS challenges in key Bay Area communities and campuses. The Counter-BDS Grassroots Organizer will initiate and implement grassroots efforts to respond to BDS challenges in the Bay Area including divestment resolutions. The position will coordinate with the national campaign and other California communities and offer guidance to other affected communities and assist in development of materials and programs.

The Reut Institute, an Israeli think tank, has identified the Bay Area has a prime global “hub of  delegitimization” against Israel, so it makes sense that this is where the JCRC would set up their “laboratory.” Don’t worry, no scientific experience is needed! Just an “ability to keep cool in emotional situations relating to Israel” and an “ability to work with people holding diverse perspectives.” Okay, not that diverse.

Think you have the right stuff? Apply here.

Oh, I totally misread the headline: “Like the status quo? Ever wanted to stand on the front line FOR human rights? Apply here!”

And for some downtime, after all that grassrooting for apartheid, may I suggest one of the wonderful vacation packages offered at this site: http://www.apartheidadventures.com/tours/HOME.html

MY COMMENT: If I lived in the Bay Area, I would be willing to volunteer as a lab assistant.
On second thought, I guess I’m better suited to being a guinea pig.

Oh No! This is bigger than the Bay Area:
    http://rabbibrant.com/2013/12/04/new-hillel-and-aipac-partnership-open-hillel-responds/
“This just in: Eric Fingerhut, the President of Hillel and Jonathan Kessler, the Leadership Development Director of AIPAC, have just announced in the Jewish Week that Hillel and AIPAC will be formally “working together to strategically and proactively empower, train and prepare American Jewish students to be effective pro-Israel activists on and beyond the campus.”

What this means essentially is that Hillel, an organization that is meant to serve as an umbrella for the diverse study bodies on college campuses nation wide, is now formally aligning itself with a lobbying group’s specific definition of what it means to be “pro-Israel.””

Clearly a concerted push-back against the few steps forward the pro-Palestinian cause has made. The fear must be growing.

I think they’re very wrong about this, the super-prime global “hub of delegitimization” against Israel is the Israeli government in Tel Aviv. However, I’m quite glad that the Reut Institute think otherwise because it means they are spending all their money and resources without a hope of countering the delegitimization of Israel. Like the planners of Operation Fortitude, you couldn’t ask for more, except in this case the Reut Institute is deceiving itself.
