Video: Resistance activists down power line in West Bank

In response to the Israeli military attack on Gaza, resistance activists in the West Bank downed a utility pole and cut electricity to an illegal Jewish settlement west of Ramallah.

Ynet reports (Hebrew) there was a 4 hour power outage in the Talmonim area settlements as a result of the sabotage, which has since been repaired. Israeli police are opening an investigation into the incident.

Now this I understand, and I love. I would love to see more illegal settlements in darkness, even without their stolen water, let them feel for some time, how the poor Gazans are suffering.

I don’t think the lads thought this one through because when the pole came down it sparked and flashed and could have started a fire.

Someday, people there will understand that the only chance for them to lift themselves form the mayhem and backward situation in the entire Mid-East region is to cooperate with Israel – not silly sabotage acts, or worse, violence. Cheering these acts with abused terms (“resistance” here and many others, as Ghetto, Pogroms, Nazis, elsewhere) don`t help anybody but the clueless nihilists that only destruction makes their adrenalin running.

Serves ’em right for using cheap, feeble utility poles that can be wrecked by a well-applied basic circular saw.

Abbas will soon condemn this just wait, but he’s still talking with israel on how to install himself and PLO in Gaza.
