They should read of Ron Paul's program and platform.
Are you now a Ron Paul supporter? I didn't get that sense from talking with you this past weekend.
A friend sent me the comments below from Gottfried.
Gottfried sounds at best like liberal crypto-racists that used to argue African Americans had to go slow on civil rights demands.
I can argue the fundamental falseness of each assertion from Gottfried.
Here are some excerpts to show Gottfried's position:
(1) "And although I believe that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were driven from their homes by an earlier generation of Jewish settlers in the course of a war, I see no way that "justice" can be done here without placing at risk all the Jews in Israel. The right of national and physical survival should come first for the Jewish state …"
(2) "In short, I view Israel as an ethnic national state with a constitutional government that offers legal protection to non-Jewish minorities. While it is a gross exaggeration to pretend that Jews and non-Jews can do equally well in public life or enjoy the same social respect in Israel, I would rather be a non-Jew in Israel than a member of a religious-ethnic minority in just about any Muslim country. Indeed, I would rather be a non-Jew in Israel than a non-Catholic in eighteenth-century France or a Catholic in Ireland under English domination.
(3) Israel does not "bother" me because its government does nothing to interfere in my life and indeed provided a home to family members who were escaping from the Nazis and landed up in Palestine. …"
If I am not mistaken, New England involvement in the slave trade ended in 1805.
Part of the motivation of early NE abolitionists was a feeling of guilt just as we Americans should feel guilt for our support of Zionist genocidalism.
I think you'd get a huge amount out of all of Gottfried's books, even if you disagree with his politics. There simply isn't anyone out there who has a clearer understanding of the divisions on the right and the problems facing any sort of conservative movement.
While I find that, too often, Gottfried is an apologist for Zionism and its many evils, he still understands – better than any other Zionist I know – why pro-Israeli people in the USA are both hypocritical and annoying.

Justice for all takes second place to Survival for us. Did Rabbi Hillel fall in the toilet?
