The guy I quoted on Arabists last night is Mitchell Bard. I gather he used to write for Near East Report, a publication of the AIPAC establishment. Grant Smith, author of the great America's Defense Line, supplied this cartoon that Near East Report ran some years ago caricaturing State Department Arabists. (Probably before the Bard's time.) I am so incompetent technically that I can't blow the sucker up; but I think you will see that that nutty Arabist has the Middle East completely backwards!!! Ha!
Don't forget that those Arabists included men like the fine Ambassador George Lane, and William Rugh and his scholar wife Andrea, and Sec'y of State George Marshall who had been FDR's chief of staff during the Great War and who when Partition proved to create bloodshed opposed the recognition of the expansionist state of Israel and predicted an unending cycle of violence in the Middle East. This caricature is a form of Jewish blackface. Let my people go.
