NYPost on that giant NJ indictment that includes several rabbis, and international trafficking in kidneys coming thru Israel:
Israel Dwek — the father of Solomon "Shlomo" Dwek, who helped the feds nail three New Jersey mayors and several rabbis in Brooklyn last week — plans to sit shiva for his son because he is so disgusted with his turning on other Jews, reported the Web site PolitickerNJ.com
I recall as a young reporter at the Philadelphia Daily News, I reported on a rabbi arrested for fleeing embezzling charges, at the airport, and a friend’s dad said to me, Why are you reporting that? Gosh. It’s an attitude.
Update: New York Jewish Week says that the shiva story is false, or an exaggeration: that Dwek’s father, a rabbi, denounced the practice of Jews informing on other Jews, but didn’t declare his son dead. Meantime, Angry Arab says that the emphasis in the Times on the alleged culprits being "Syrian Jews" is a careful removal of the social scorn from European Jews.
What a horrific business. Similar stories of international trade in organs surface every few years and then are quickly buried and forgotten, perhaps in part because Israelis seem to always be involved.

where a pair of Israeli doctors made a practice of recruiting retarded Palestinians for organ sales, only to renege on payments after the organs were removed. The going rate? $7,000 to the person donating the kidney, and $135,000 to the Israeli doctor extracting and selling it.
There are so very many of these stories… I spent about an hour compiling a list of links to various sources, most of them Israeli press acounts, but others from places like UNESCO, which in toto paint a fairly unambiguious picture of Israel as a central hub in the world’s organ traffic trade. Unfortunately your site’s ridiculous “spam filter” would not allow me to post any of them. I’ll try it without the list of links, but I’m very disappointed by this nonsense.
It’s still to early to tell how this story will turn out. However, keep in mind that thus far this appears to be run of the mill organized crime. Men of the cloth have a history of abusing power and privilege dating back to at least the beginning of human civilization, and money laundering by Rabbis isn’t in quite the same league as pedophilia by Priests.
I think ‘the attitude’ is a serious cognitive malfunction and far more disturbing than the crime. One has no cause for complaint if one refuses to discipline an errant member of one’s own house, and the rest of the neighborhood has to intervene to protect themselves from him. If this is a shared response to mere money laundering, no wonder there was no outcry against the far more serious and embarrassing crimes of espionage and treason committed by Wolfowitz, Feith, Rosen, Weissman, Franklin, Kadish, and others. I also wonder what role, if any, ‘the attitude’ plays in the ‘free Pollard’ fetish?
The Quran repeatedly asks the rabbis not to sell God’s verses for a miserly price. Seems to me the rabbis invented the so-called law of Moses where you can’t tell on another Jew even if he’s doing evil work. God’s justice is universal, if we are to believe that He is a universal God, and not a tribal one.
